തോവാളയിലെ ഫ്ലവർ മാർക്കറ്റും ഗ്രാമവും കണ്ടാലോ !!!!!
നാഗർകോവിലിൽ നിന്ന് തിരുനെൽവേലിയിലേക്കുള്ള വഴിയിൽ 12 കിലോമീറ്റർ അകലെ സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്ന തോവാലൈ ഗ്രാമം ദക്ഷിണേന്ത്യയിലെ ഏറ്റവും വലിയ പുഷ്പ വിപണികളിലൊന്നാണ്. എല്ലാ നിറത്തിലും തരത്തിലുമുള്ള വിവിധയിനം പൂക്കൾ ഇവിടെ കൃഷി ചെയ്യുകയും വിപണനം ചെയ്യുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.
വൈദ്യുതോൽപ്പാദനത്തിനുള്ള വിൻഡ്‌മിൽ ഫാമുകൾ പുഷ്പ തോട്ടങ്ങൾക്ക് ഭംഗി കൂട്ടുന്നു. സാധാരണയായി രാവിലെ ഒമ്പത് മണിക്കാണ് പൂവിപണി തുടങ്ങുന്നത്, എന്നാൽ കേരളത്തിൽ ഓണാഘോഷം ആരംഭിക്കുമ്പോൾ രാവിലെ ആറ് മണി മുതൽ വിപണി ഉയരും.
Thovalai, the village situated 12 km from Nagercoil  on the way to Tirunelveli, is one of the largest flower markets of South India.  A large variety of flowers of all colors and types are cultivated and marketed here.
Windmill farms for power generation add beauty to the floral plantations. The flower market usually begins at 9 a..m in the morning, but when Kerala begins Onam celebrations the market will be up from 6 a.m.
