Loved the old church. Wish someone would save it from further decay and restore it. Wonderful front porch on the old house and big trees on the property make it sanctuary. Thanks for sharing your awesome pictures.
The church was very neat and sad. It's like they had a service then walked out and never came back. Not much left of the house but I love the pics you added at the end! Beautiful! Thanks for sharing!😊
That church was amazing not to have been damaged with a lot of drawings and graffiti! It makes you wonder what would happened to make them leave the precious bible and the communion table as well! The house was quite the contrast! I APPRECIATE you taking us along with you when you go to these long forgotten places!
The church reminds me of the church I went to with my grandma. Small and sweet and everyone was friends. I can hear the piano and all the sweet hymns now!
Simply beautiful! I’m so grateful that the Church didn’t fall prey to vandalism. PLEASE take the book with you so it doesn’t get destroyed. I know you never take anything from the amazing finds but My heart cant take the old book being left behind. And the house is the added bonus! Thank you Kappy for all the care you take with these old, beautiful homes you find. All the OLD folks like me really appreciate you! Wishing you a very blessed and wonderful day!❤️
@Theresa H. perhaps the Bible protects the church from the dark forces. I have known houses to stand untouched from hurricanes, while others did not, when the family Bible was placed in the middle of the house
woww kappy does it again the church was so prettty and there was no graffiti which i love to be with out it it ruins the value and the quallity and the history of old places keeep on rockin dude u rock
The little church reminds me of the church my grandparents went to. They lived away from town on a farm and the church was also out in the county. A lot of nostalgia there.
Very much like the Church I came up in, in rural NH. The Congregation left it. Built a MASSIVE "mega church" out of modern steele, and didnt look back. I did. I love that old building, it was humble and real, and it was about our culture and history. This Church in the woods is special.
I've seen a similar video of an old church in Australia. Much like this church it was still untouched. Only heavy dust had settled. It appeared they simply walked awsy. Pews were still inbplace, Preachers Stand was still there, Songbooks. I'm just happy to know vandals didnt tear them up.
Thanks Kappy for sharing with me this video about 115 year old Abandoned House & untouched Abandoned church down south it was a really sad to see a church left to stand by it self it should be fixed up and use for a church again it is still in good shape and the house was really weird seeing it just striped down and left that was really strange to see thanks Kappy and i can't wait to see your next video and God Blesss you my friend and thanks again.
Oh my word. When we walked into the church it was like I was walking back into the church I attended 55 years ago!!! It was a Methodist church in a little town of about 75 residents and on Sunday morning the walls would vibrate with the wonderful hymns that were sung from hymnals that were like those left in the pews in the video. The town now is sadly gone all but a few abandoned homes but they did move the church to another town about 10 miles away to the historical site n museum. I am so thankful for that. I bet many a good church dinner was prepared in that little kitchen too, just as we did all those years ago. Awesome video Kappy. Thank you for the memories.
Hi Kappy!I love the church .I have never seen an abandoned church look so good.its sad its not in use.the house I love the 2 porches.another sad find but im so glade u did.capturing it before its gone
Wow what an incredible find that church is! It was almost perfect. Too bad the house was already stripped. I hope some of those houses at the end are going to be videos. Thanks, Kappy. You make Saturdays more interesting
It is amazing how a church left completely open for decades can remain untouched. All it needs is a good sweep and dusting, maybe some windex and a bit of elbow grease and Sunday services could happen next week!
The church has good vibes. It was a poor church you can tell from the tapped Bible. Poor means honest and that is probably why it had good vibes. The house at one time probably belonged to the pastor and his family. Interesting video Kappy.
That first bible was very old, the bible on the podium looks as if it was turned to the last service they gave and left. Makes you wonder how many weddings, baptisms, etc. Were held here over the years. I bet that house with the front porch was built when that highway was probably just a dirt road. As always be careful and be safe.
A great collection of houses, Kappy, and the quiet train station and the old-fashioned town---and I love that rural landscape, so beautiful.---Wonderful old church: I think of the christenings, weddings, funerals that took place there; the life of the church family/community, all the prayers prayed there and the mountain-moving faith of the people who attended the church.
Another good video Kappy, I sure wish you'd looked for a date in that Bible, because it looked well loved, and very old. The photos you take always add extra life to what you see, and these photos do just that!
That church actually kinda creeped me out. Have you ever thought of maybe taking a digital recorder with you to some of the older places that have a heavy "presence" to them? (ones where you feel like you're not alone there). Either leave the recorder running for 15-20 minutes while you explore,or try a Q&A session,so you can see if *maybe* you're capturing any words/conversation? I I know you aren't into paranormal investigations, but wouldn't it be fun to try that? Let us know right away if you do it 😊 Anyway I'm a long-time sub,and respect why& how you do explores👍 I find this Down South series to be both haunting and poignant, for some reason. I love imagining what those places were like when they were full of color and life... Neat stuff 👌
I can remember driving by the church when it was in use. The grove of large trees and not far were the houses for the workers and families. This was at one time a VERY large cattle farm and very well kept. From a new subscriber. Good show
It's very well kept for not being touched. The older things that keep are very unique. I'm impressed with this. I'd love the quality that keeps for this long. That's so cool. I'd redo this. At least the church so far.
That church is so pretty un touched, unspoiled , I hope vandalism and theft never find there way to this church so perfect thank you for going here such a rare find !
Looks like the church can be saved and turned into a home or something. It's strange that they left the bible behind. The house was interesting to. Love that little old town. Interesting ending with the slide show. You always do something special thank you
It looks like an old Presbyterian Church judging by those little cup holders on the backs of the pews that were used for communion. Did the church have a basement or bathroom? It’s amazing how pristine & untouched the church is. It looked as if it were set up for another Sunday service.
I sure hope those place at the end of your video is places you will showing us in up and coming videos they look marvelous !! Great video as always great work keep it up 👍👍👍
Kappy, Thank God🙏 no one got into the church and destroyed it, especially since they live by a road. I love, love ❤️💜💛 old churches like that and I love, love ❤️💜💛old one room school houses. I've always wanted to live in a church that looked like that one. I 🙏 that someone would buy it and fix it up. GOD BLESS and be safe. Cathy🌻, Ohio
The church...I felt like that old guy in the black suit in Poltergeist was going to appear 😱I loved the table w/inscription Do this in Remembrance of Me
All Baptist Churches have the table with the inscription do this in remembrance of me. It depicts Christ instructing his desciples at the table of the last supper. When the congregation has the Lord's supper this table is used to place the "wine" (grape juice) and bread on before passing them out to the congregation.
I think maybe there was a way up to that front bell tower or whatever it was by way of a staaair inside that first door as you came in. It had to have an access, surely! That church is awesome but should be preserved!
That's where the access to the bell tower was in the church I grew up in, that looked an amazingly similar bit like the one on this video. You are absolutely right. I bet the access stairs would have been scary, Kappy know's when to quit.
Weather for the house not that much room and I do love the porch, but I also love as you come up and see The greenery and the wind blowing through the leaves so peaceful 🥰👍👍👍👍👍
Love the church. Reminds of the church my Grandmother preached in. The piano n alter was a surprise to see. But the old Bible left I believe has been guarding over the church. Sad about the house being gutted. Looked cool from the outside. Great finds Kappy. Hoping that the places at the end are sneak peeks! Stay safe and God bless.
its sad that one of the perishiners hadn't taken the old Bible home to preserve it. No access to the bell tower? darn. l loved the shots of the old houses. thank you
Jeez, really glad her spelling was corrected. Would hate to think of the challenges her life would be faced with if she wasnt publicly corrected on youtube. I'm reminded of that lame hit from the 80's, " too much time on my hands..."
The outside of the church was a bit deceptive. The inside looked to have a few pretty modern touches. It’s a bit odd that the Bible and alter, communion table left that way. I know a lot of churches are desacralized if they are no longer going to be used. And all of the religious symbols are removed. Neat old house. And always love those teasers. Hope to videos on some of them soon. ❤️
Looks like there was a belfry in the church. Also it was a Protestant church. Would’ve loved to know how old that Bible was. In the South back then the Church was the center of most get togethers. Obviously the kitchen was used a lot. If the house was near the church it may have been the preachers house.
Some Christian churches aren't Protestant because they never had anything to do with Catholicism. In the South, that would be Baptist, a very sensible practice. Praise Jesus!
Thomas Ewing you’re right. I said Protestant cuz peeps don’t know Baptist’s aren’t Protestant. I’m a Baptist from the South. ✝️❤️ And Baptist churches still focus on all things for the family like even Wednesday night dinners. I spent most of my time with church activities or some parents house from the church for get togethers. Something to do all the time! Loved it!
The Church I was baptized and " shaped" in, looks quite a bit like this one. Grafton Congregational Church, Grafton NH. Over 200 years old. At some point on the early 2000's the congregation left it, and built a new building. I never got over it, I love that old building. Fire almost destroyed her in 2015 but it still sits on hope of repair on the side of rte 4.
I recently explored a church that had the same style windows. Like you said the old churches do have a peaceful feel to them. Great work here fellow explorer.
In the Bible, Jesus instructed His disciples to take communion (bread and wine). He said that they should "do this in remembrance of Me." A lot of older churches have that saying engraved in or painted on their communion tables. Generations of my family have been saved, baptized, married and eulogized from that pulpit and now lie sleeping in the cemetery out back. Thank you for bringing back fond memories of walking from my great grandmother's house to church on Sundays and being allowed to ring that sweet sounding bell to call the faithful to worship. It's so wonderful to see that this house of prayer has been saved from the hands of scavengers and vandals. Thank you, Kappy for taking this not so young lady back to her happy childhood.
Why would a minister leave his Bible behind? Love to know the story behind this abandoned church. I suspect there were not enough people to pay for a minister and upkeep. Was the house close enough to have been the parsonage? Hmmm...
When you a house 115 years old, and a church abandoned, how do they let these properties go to waste, the church & the house should be declared historic landmarks, cause that is the way they use to make them then, the way they waste money on othervthings, they could clear the weeds, & brush, & preserve the patrimony, the house 115 years old, who knows if it*s in the history of the state or county, thatcould be a museum of sorts showing how people lived then, this is probably before they had electricity or when they transitioned into having electricity, places like these are dissapearing, what do you tell the upcoming & future generation, wherevthat mall or expressway is used to be a 115 year old housevthat no longer is there.
Check out " the old congregational church, in Grafton NH". My home town were offered the 200 year old church on the common when the new modern "mega church" was built. Town didnt want it, turned up its collective nose. My friend John Connell bought it, and 5 years later they were ready to have him removed by force for not paying taxes as a non exempt religious organization. Even though the people before him never payed taxes for 200 years. Right or wrong is up to the beholder, but a heck of a fracas resulted from one old abandoned, ( yet loved by some) church.
The church was a great find, shame tho that its not used anymore-too small no doubt- looks like you have a lot more to explore judging from the pics at the end of the video; Thanks ! ☮❤
Why must you tease us with such cool homes at the end of your videos?????? Ahhhhh! That church was so simple almost like Little House on the Prairie simple. No stained glass, no reference to Jesus except the Bible. I’m so grateful that it has not been touched by graffiti or destruction!
I posted those houses yesterday in my newest video! Thank you very much for watching! I was happy to see the church had been spared as well besides nature’s toll
My guess is the Bible was left behind in hopes that people would read it. The church probably disbanded due to possibly declining attendance for whatever reasons (people moving, disputes in the church, unable to find a pastor, etc.) I've seen it happen in the next town from me. Many times, in areas where people respect the house of God, they leave behind items and allow access to those still in the area who choose to spend prayer and quiet time there after disbandment. The remaining people may have died off.
Interesting idea! The church definitely has been empty awhile it’s almost impossible to access the front without climbing through a bunch of thorn bushes & has no parking at all , very neat old place in the middle of nowhere almost
This is nice .Thanks foe sharing really nice . Nice place to go pray
To me it's sad to see any church vacant or abandoned. Especially those that can be kept up and restored. Thank you for the video bub.
Totally enjoyed the tour you were so kind to take us on! Thank You 😊 👍
Loved the old church.

Thanks Kappy for sharing these beautiful looks of the past, keep up the great work. 💜
That church was amazing not to have been damaged with a lot of drawings and graffiti! It makes you wonder what would happened to make them leave the precious bible and the communion table as well! The house was quite the contrast! I APPRECIATE you taking us along with you when you go to these long forgotten places!
Nature is slowly taking back both of these places.
Thank you Kappy♡
The church reminds me of the church I went to with my grandma. Small and sweet and everyone was friends. I can hear the piano and all the sweet hymns now!

..... But isn't there an old southern wives tale about taking the church's Bible from it premises? Maybe not. Very sad though ☹️
@Theresa H. perhaps the Bible protects the church from the dark forces. I have known houses to stand untouched from hurricanes, while others did not, when the family Bible was placed in the middle of the house
Thank you very much for watching! it did seem like an older bible!
Melissa Boggs Explorers never remove anything from the buildings! . It’s kind of taboo to take anything.
@@urbanexploringwithkappy1773 maybe bring the Bible to the town's or county's historical society?
woww kappy does it again the church was so prettty and there was no graffiti which i love to be with out it it ruins the value and the quallity and the history of old places keeep on rockin dude u rock
I'm always amazed to see old pianos in these long since forgotten places that still work. 😎
beautiful church someone should restore it . blessed be the glory

The church was really awesome. Amazing that it hasn't been vandalized. Usually there'd be pentagrams, 666 and whatnot sprayed all over the place.
Wonderful, wonderful old church. A little dusting and a piano tuner and you could start all over! Thx Kappy
I've seen a similar video of an old church in Australia. Much like this church it was still untouched. Only heavy dust had settled. It appeared they simply walked awsy. Pews were still inbplace, Preachers Stand was still there, Songbooks. I'm just happy to know vandals didnt tear them up.
I enjoy watching your videos
Loved the old church. House next to it was probably the pastors home. Awesome video, Ty. God Bless
This was just excellent! Awesome to be able to see it all. You have such a great way of taking us all through these places. Thanks so much.

So sad that church is in such disrepair. I'm sure it was a beautiful little church in it's time! Thanks for sharing!
i think all abandon places are sad but when its a church it seems extra sad such a shame to see such a sweet little church just left to rot
I feel the same way, plus some abandoned schools, particularly grade schools, give me a feeling of loss.
The church has good vibes. It was a poor church you can tell from the tapped Bible. Poor means honest and that is probably why it had good vibes. The house at one time probably belonged to the pastor and his family. Interesting video Kappy.
Holy cow is right what a great find can’t believe that it is all left that way everything there like they are going to use it tomorrow!
Wow, like the land that time forgot. Things sure used to be so much simpler!
Wow thats probably the first time that church heard the note of piano in many many years
Nice to see some of the surroundings. I appreciated the views thankyou.
LOVE LOVE LOVE ❣️❣️ Thanks Kappy! Do you know any of the history of the church? I would love to know.
That first bible was very old, the bible on the podium looks as if it was turned to the last service they gave and left. Nice church
Someone could restore that church. It looks in good shape except for the kitchen area. And no graffiti!
The town you showed looks like Staunton Va.

I can remember driving by the church when it was in use. The grove of large trees and not far were the houses for the workers and families. This was at one time a VERY large cattle farm and very well kept. From a new subscriber. Good show
It's very well kept for not being touched.

YES!!! We call it the alter table or the offering table. That's also where the offering plates are kept ♥️😇

That church was pretty interesting, I was surprised by how small it is. Nice explore!
Great explore, I love old church. Thsts my favourite places to explore.
Pretty cool how it stays intact like that
Yaay! I always get happy when I see a new video from Kappy!
👍good video brother
Another amazing video Kappy!
Muy bueno, gracias
Weather for the house not that much room and I do love the porch, but I also love as you come up and see The greenery and the wind blowing through the leaves so peaceful 🥰👍👍👍👍👍
Beautiful area!
That old church is very much ‘little house on the prairie’ don’t know how the house is still standing on such thin pieces of wood. Very cute.
Love the church. Reminds of the church my Grandmother preached in. The piano n alter was a surprise to see. But the old Bible left I believe has been guarding over the church. For as old as that church is, it’s in really good condition internally for the most part except for the kitchen
That is amazing.
Hey my love it's been forever cool video.. 💛
The door knob at 6:19 is exactly like the ones on my house built in 1900. Sure would love to have those for extras.
Wow amazing! Thanks Kappy 👍🙋 🕊️🌟 🌟🌟 🌟🌟

Nobody has vandalized or looted that church. That's amazing. That piano is restorable, those pewa and pulpit could be sold as antiques,
It was so well laid out. The choir area in the corner, piano on other side of pulpit and then divided for congregation.
I recently explored a church that had the same style windows. Like you said the old churches do have a peaceful feel to them. Great work here fellow explorer.

My house is around 80 years old, Its not in good shape.
But i bought it this way.
Oh what a lovely home that beautiful old church would make!! Sometimes I wish I had lots of $$$ !

Well starting off the church, it still holding up and it looks good.🥰👍
I almost expect Father Gabriel to show up, trailed by a boatload of walkers. 😀
What a beautiful building. I would turn this church into a restaurant or home or something
Those seats are not called benches, they're pews. Good luck with your channel too!
Why couldn't they let someone have or buy those pews and other things. Would love to know the story!
I thought that you were going to set down at the piano and play..... Johnnie Be Good! lol
The church definitely has been empty awhile it’s almost impossible to access the front without climbing through a bunch of thorn bushes & has no parking at all , very neat old place in the middle of nowhere almost
wow
Nice buildings. Nice video all around wholesome. Thank you
Oh my god Very good
Great video.
That church looks kind of like an Episcopal one I went to in NE Oregon. Sweet.
