Elephants actually love cool temps
Oh dear. First time saw an elephant playing with the snow. Elephants usually live in a tropical environment. Can they survive in such a cold weather? Amazing!!!

When the Mammoth Genes kick in:
Elephants have evolved to live in tropical regions as their huge dietary requirement is not fulfilled in cold regions. So, the modern elephants have evolved far too ahead of mammoths
Shrujanam Syama 🤔🤔 the America’s had mastodons & mammoths. Fossil remains been found on both continents. Also remains of some that was hunted or scavenged by the first people. Then they just vanished, along with the people (Clovis culture). 🤔🤔. Different Native Americans tribes with flood stories 🤔. Geologic evidence of massive flooding in N. America 🤔. Mammoths were still around while the Great Pyramid in Egypt was being built. Last surviving mammoths in N. America was on Channel Island. Much smaller than the mainland mammoths due to island dwarfism. 🤔🤔🤔🤔
J J Agreed. The Early Proboscideans evolved in tropical and subtropical conditions. But, by the time of the ice age, desert, savanna, and grasslands were the major biomes around the world. It snowed a great deal. Elephants, mammoths, and other Proboscidea played in snow all over the world.
Asian elephant is closest living relative of woolly mammoth and would have to be used as surrogate mother for any mammoth clone/hybrid embryo created in a lab.
I thought the thumbnail was about the mummified Monmouth they found
Happiness is shoveling through the snow & gliding in the water. . may the snow & waters stay clean for these animals. Enjoyed the video.

Haha wish more people knew history lmao
xD the pictures in my mind are great xD - but i'm a bit of a history geek soo ... the elephants where bad fed and suffered from malnutrition as far as excarvations of some war elephants proofed. i also read crazy stuff about how they where "prepared" for battle ... they where underfed and got also fed with some plant that made them feel ill and made them itchy skin which concluded in them being much more aggressive and relentless when charging the enemy lines - also they would ignore arrow wounds more likely because they had itchy skin anyways ... crazy warfair xD
