My big dogs are driving me insane because they will not stay off the furniture. I do not have a place to work, so I have a lot of things in my sofa. I don’t know how I’ve avoided being arrested because when I’m tired and come in, they have destroyed everything I am working on. I will definitely try the aluminum foil. I have a sectional (that I hate), and I’m going to cover the entire thing with aluminum foil. Thank you so much!! I know this is an older video, but I really needed to see this. I have boxers, not quite so big, but I lay a broomstick on my couch and they stay off. However when I put a blanket on the seat they know that they can jump up and sit with me!

My dog knows not to get on my bed in front of me. It's when I'm gone or sleep he does it. The little punk even comes to my room multiple times to make sure I'm sleep so he can get on it. When my morning alarm clock wakes me up i can hear his paws jumping off of the couch so he's not caught but the problem is he does not have any paws to pick up the pillows & put them back right & his fur sticks to it like velcro. I'm thinking about getting a shocking pad that will give him just enough amps not to have him take a permanent nap bcuz he has already chewed up the pillows of my sectional just bcuz I skipped a day of walking him🤬🤬🤬🤬

Haha! I totally understand the struggle. We have Big Barker dog beds for Junior and Sulley and we love them! Here are the ones we have: bit.ly/3RXcnM8, bit.ly/3DQl7gV, and bit.ly/32dxq87. We also have a giant size headrest version, but this one is so big, we keep it in the basement where we watch tv. The boys love to curl up on it while we watch tv. I have a white female jerman shepard she tears up and chews on every thing , so if I put aluminum foil up there or my pots and pans she would chew them up I just don't know what to do
Have you tried the scat mats from PetSafe? I ended up having to use those to keep Sulley off of my new couch.
@@BigDogMom no I didn't even I haven't even heard of that I just I haven't had a dog in quite a long time and I got her and I'm sure going to invest in one then sounds like a good idea because right now I've got my couches turned upside down on each other and I gave her the love seat which I keep plastic on it and put a blanket up there cuz she gets excited and tinkles everywhere lol

I can't imagine tin foil and pots and pans work! My dog would be so excited and curious of those and jumping on the couch in no time! Sorry, I won't even try it to know it won't work.

Hi, I would like to get a bullmastiff. I was thinking to crate train him to kind of keep the situation under control. My present problem is I can not really find a large enough crate. Is it impossible to crate large dogs like a mastiff or a bullmastiff? Or is this just a temporary solution until they learn how to behave and can be trusted to be left alone, unsupervised?
