She's super great. I just wish she'd put out a full album of tunes more in the Bassically direction. It's such a good sound for her and her vocals and she rocks it so much harder than most people in the genre.

Never heard this of this band/artist but GODAMN. They sound, she sounds....unreal. She has backing tracks she's singing with but they've got a seemless deal happening here. Really great performance.

Got to see Tei Shi reform two nights ago, and she absolutely destroyed it :')
So much presence/emotion and the sound quality was really impressive...highly recommend checking her out live!

There are articles on the internet claiming Tei Shi is a Mezzo. I find this dubious with her very lightweight voice. She seems comfortable singing high in a thin, airy falsetto for long periods of time but she uses it well. Very expressive. I have enjoyed her latest record a lot. Those voice memos of her as a child are quite cute.

Lip-synched but I guess that's what is passed off as live these days.....
This is not lip synched. Theres some backing vocals on parts but thats just because they either can’t afford or don’t want to bring a bunch of extra singers. Nothing wrong with it. They are totally different things.
