I actually had this idea for a Lake Baikal mod where it takes place after the main campaign and you're tasked with getting materials, weapons, and recruits to rebuild a town close to the lake and the town would evolve over time. Basically making a safe place for the survivors of the metro seeing as it was kinda hinted they would eventually go back for the survivors at some point.
I think that would be interesting!
The munai bailer they are called and for the protaganist it would be giul but ıd rather prefer anna but as for the concept giul is much better match for caspian desert
I would really love this, idk if it possible to make a sistem like Assassins creed 2 or black flag, like getting money or those resources to uprgrade an especific location.
I think they might put that in the next Metro game, if they do ever get to making it they survive Putin's killing spree.

I hope this gets lots of support, potential to be my no.1 game here, reimagined maps, new maps, weapons, bug fixes, stalker treatment but even more basically. Faster vehicles lol... could rework the whole thing anyway you like for years, too much to even think of right now. This is what all developers should do for their new or years old games cuz there's always plenty of ppl that never wanna stop playing their favorite game.
I always dreamed about a real open world Game where you travel thought the tunnels of Moskau or any othere city and do quests. You start as a nobody working up to a maybe mercenary or spartan or traider. You could buy and sell goods, become a headhunters or maybe an assassin or just a scavenger.
The metro has lots of secret passages and even a outside map which allows you to scavenge the city above.
Honestly, im sure some talented modders are already planning on doing a sort of "Stalker Anomaly Remastered" type deal (at least, thats where my mind immediately goes). Im really hoping that scripting system lets modders crack open this game, and add things like a proper inventory to manage, and fully custom questlines would be the real killer for me

A Metro + STALKER game where you can freely explore the Moscow metro and surface has been my dream game for a long time. Maybe it's finally possible with this SDK...
It's not pronounced "Moscou" tho, it's Moskva, I don't get why the name was translated so poorly to begin with tbh, maybe because of the of american "Moscow" already existing & it was a mix-up?

Not possible right now, it """worked""" in stalker because they had an existing foundation and years of modding + 9 different factions and the A-life system to make it work. I still hope to god this won't happen.
@@LordTrashcanRulez This is correct. Many people don't realize how many systems S.T.A.L.K.E.R. had in place to make it feel alive. Even if you didn't do the main quest, you could regularly encounter aftermath of battles that happened when you weren't there to seem them. Even to this day, the feeling of immersion in this regard is unmatched by any other game I played. A lot of people will say "oh well, just make a random encounter system", but the main thing that set it apart from A-life is that it wasn't just things that happened to the player as you go. A-life simulated encounters happening in other parts of the game world.

@@LordTrashcanRulez Not only that, but in Stalker's case we have the engine source. In Metro's case it's only an SDK which isn't anything close to having the full source.

This game can benefit from a progression system to make it worth killing/ wasting bullets.
The opposite to be said with modern AAA bc everygame is open world RPG. But the METRO series is always authentic in it's own way, where I feel progression needs to be added, expanded upon, as the community builds bigger landscapes with the tools.
Wow. Huge props to 4A for making this move. Im really excited to see what people make, and I'm really happy a bigger company is fully getting behind community content for once

EDIT: To install Exodus SDK as a tool on steam, you need to go to your library and then press on "games" and choose "tools"
story rich stuff or hardcore survival... scarcity etc.

Considering how Metro Exodus was in sale few days ago (at the time OP made the comment), it's definitely worth it. I even bought it and plaued it for the first time recently
This is VERY rare to see in modern game engines, and it is very appreciated. Modern in-house engines are VERY locked down nowadays, making modding almost impossible apart from some very minor aspects. Only other modern engine I can think of that allows this kind of creative freedom is Bethesda's Creation Engine/Gamebryo
I really hope someone remakes the first two games using exodus’s models, animations, mechanics pretty much everything

@@mumpetwombat822 i mean i agree but i don't think there are people willing to do that much work. Its more effective to do a "tale of three wastelands" type of deal. Ttw was a good mod which i wish inspired others.

I'm currently trying to figure out the SDK just now. This came right out of the left field! I'm really looking forward to seeing expanded map mods for the caspian and volga, plus the custom map mods made by the community! Got some plans for a couple myself, but I've got to figure out the SDK first
Something simple I've wanted since the release that someone could easily fix is louder/more realistic footsteps. Excited to see new guns add like a VAL
This could have so so so much potential! And this is the best one to include mod support!

Yep! They didn't have to, but they chose to. They have a strong community of people who love Metro, but this has potential to go insane distances with some love from passionate modders. More attention is needed for sure.

omg I tried to look this up a few weeks ago and was disappointed that the game wasn't able to be modded. think this game has an amazing base for mods.

Metro Exodus Enhanced is probably the game with the best implementation of Ray Tracing so far along with Control. I mean they managed to have infinite bounce ray tracing on the Xbox Series S of all things and that to at mostly a locked 60FPS when many developers are claiming that Xbox Series S hardware is becoming a limitation for them. I managed to max out the game at 1080p on my PC with RT using my RTX 3070 and the game runs really well.
Also at the 4:58 ship with spiders, you can reach the top without going through the part with spiders by climbing the slope on the hill beside the ship and then jumping on it. Then just go down the stairs and come back up to spawn the guy that stays there. And the scope attachment for the Valve sniper is on that crane I think. Once you reach the top, you get it on a sniper and some guys show up at the bottom to let you test your sniper rifle.
It's cool that they released this but I just don't know if it will catch on. You see, to really get a good modding community going, you have to do it when the game is fresh. That's one of the things that Bethesda does well to it's credit; it releases it's sdk early after release. So people able to immediately go into creating mods. I love Kingdom Come Deliverance for example and they also released an SDK for that game but it came out so late after release that there's barely any substantial mods for it.
Doesn't help people are (rightfully) still bitter they were publishing the game on Steam, then pulled it away for EpicGames and then published it anyway on Steam a year later
@@_MaZTeR_ haha funnily enough, I managed to avoid that issue because I reserved the game on steam before they made it temporarily exclusive. I still can't believe my preordering a game actually proved useful for once.
The Metro series is one of my favourite video game series of all time! hopefull for the future of the game and can't wait to try out the new content modders will create.
in theory a dedicated team could port the first two games into the new engine and update them with more open world areas, or redo them to be closer to the books, at least for the first game anyways.
I hope with this they will fix texture issues in some areas of the game looking like a blurry mess. Caspian sea really looks bad on my end and I have tried different settings to no success.
The mod i'm looking forward to mostly is the one to unlock ALL guns from all games, maybe add more options

Man this is so good and great news about the modding. Also when do we see another Wildlands video. I love that game.
I love this game. Special joy is to play top difficulty with no hud. It's pretty immersive. I just wanted devs to add realistic magazines. So you have N magazines and when you switch, it's not that it instantly reloads it, but simply cycle them in circle or randomly.This way if you switch a half-empty magazine, next time you insert the same one, it will only have the half. So you better be conscious of your ammo and use mags fully. Also it makes another super useful item for collection or crafts.

I played this game like over a year ago on my ps4. I have been thinking about poping this game into my ps5 and getting the next gen update and doing another play threw. Watching this made me want to play it again even more!

This is great news. The first thing i like to do is take a look at the unused contents and see if its worth restoring. Id love to restore the missing attachments for the gatling gun. Metro's my number one survival horror

Metro 2033 and Last Light are amongst my all time favourite games, up there with Half Life 2 and Left 4 Dead 2. I did enjoy Metro Exodus, and it looked beautiful ... but I didn't really like the direction it took. The thing that made Metro ... Metro, was that it was based in the grim, dark, and claustrophobic metro tunnels. It sorta made sense that we left the tunnels to find life on the surface, but it wasn't the same feeling as the first two games. But I must admit this game still was enjoyable and I found it quite immersive, especially when you would come back to the train and socialize, as if you weren't actually playing a game.

I love Metro 1 & 2, ME was kinda meh for me, I felt like the semi open world was just there to make the game longer. But maybe mods can fix it.
Your channel is the reason I startet to play all the Stalker games and Anomaly (with mods). After completing all the games I fell lige Stalker is in a league of its own, and Metro cant even touch it :D

I kind of want more left handed perspectives. Be it mirrored or actually on the left hand. Even irl I find it way more comfortable on the range. I don't know. I'm right handed but it feels more nifty with the left handed use.

I already know some of the first mods for this game are probably going to be the addition of WW2 weapons into the game
If it didnt glitch in the desert while trying tonl get in the cave to steel the water truck, or make the flash light not work after the woods and fighting the bear then yes maybe. But on series x its good but the issues are the mane problem

Don't get me wrong, I love stalker and I have been a fan since SOC released (best Bday present ever) but modded Metro makes me even happier.
We need a mod to be able to drive all the vehicles in the Caspian Sea and modify the vehicles if possible.
I can't for modders to recreate Metro 2033 and Last Light maps with Exodus gameplay improvements.
Will this be awaileble on ps4 and x box?
