The purge movies have always held a weird special place in my heart. For two reasons, (1) it was a series the my grandma liked and we’d watch the new movies in theaters, and (2) the purge is held on March 21 which is also my birthday!
I own a musket for home defense, since that's what the founding fathers intended. Four ruffians broke into my house. "What the devil?" I said, as I grabbed my powdered wig and Kentucky rifle. Blew a golf ball sized hole through the first man, he was dead on the spot. Drew my pistol on the second man and missed him entirely because it's smoothbore and I later found out that it nailed the neighbor's dog. I had to resort to the cannon mounted at the top of the stairs loaded with grape shot. "Tally ho lads!" I yelled, as the grape shot shredded two men in the blast, the sound and extra shrapnel set off car alarms. Fix bayonet and charge the last terrified rapscallion. He Bleeds out waiting on the police to arrive since triangular bayonet wounds are impossible to stitch up. Just as the founding fathers intended.

I think the purge story completely ignores the fact that literally billions if not trillions of dollars in property damage gets done once a year, which would skyrocket the national debt
That is very fucking true idk how I’ve never thought of that good point 😂
I imagine that glaziers and repairfolks make such an enormous profit that it must have radically changed the economy
