This was a really good movie and the Grabber would've never got caught or killed if it wasn't for the siblings having their Mother's Gift and the brother getting captured to solve this missing children murder mystery plus this movie had that The Lovely Bones vibe 👍✌.
I wouldn’t say he would’ve _never_ gotten caught, since serial killers’ endless bloodlust always results in sloppy kills, giving authorities more and more evidence to work with. However, if the kid hadn’t killed him, many more children would’ve died before he was caught.
I just noticed, the kid batting at 3:58 was one of the kids kidnapped in the Doctor Sleep movie and tortured and murdered for his 'steam'. Nice little easter egg there.
Jacob Tremblay isn't in the Black Phone movie. It's a scene insert from the Doctor Sleep film to show the similarities between Stephen King's film and his son's.
Thank you to both the Director Derickson and his co-writer Cargill for being so kind, helpful and understanding in helping James getting this resolved and uploaded Today. Thank you
What I love about Black Phone is that, not only is it one of the few horror movies that has a happy ending, but it's also one of the few modern horror movies I can think of where kids play a major role in defeating the antagonistic and/or evil force. The closest others I can think of is the IT movie series and Kuntlilanak on Netflix (and probably the Afraid of the Dark remake, but I haven't seen it yet to judge it well). Having grown up with kid-friendly horror media like Goosebumps, Monster House, and some of the '90s Scooby-Doo movies, it warms my old heart to see horror movies with uplifting and empowering stories, especially for kids.

I’m so glad to see that you were able to get this situation handled, shout out to the writer and director for doing their best to help!! We love your work James, keep up the great work
8:32 I knew it was coming, and I still popped so hard 😂 MAN I LOVE DEAD MEAT 😂😂😂😂😂
Dead Meat is so productive, producing Kill Counts, the podcast, and James in so many weird costumes. THAT is dedication! I love it!
This was a really good movie and the Grabber would've never got caught or killed if it wasn't for the siblings having their Mother's Gift and the brother getting captured to solve this missing children murder mystery plus this movie had that The Lovely Bones vibe 👍✌.
The girl really didnt do anything. The boy escaped himself and could've easily gone to the police instead of the girl
I wouldn’t say he would’ve _never_ gotten caught, since serial killers’ endless bloodlust always results in sloppy kills, giving authorities more and more evidence to work with. However, if the kid hadn’t killed him, many more children would’ve died before he was caught.
@@cactuschattif it wasn't for her the cops wouldn't of found him at all
@@AaronCoats-vr5szyeah, or all the kids dead bodies
@@illuminaticonfirmed1389 they wouldn't found the bodies without her she's the one that led them to all of them
I loved this movie. When Finney walked out of the house at the end and reunited with his sister, I teared up, which I do rarely.
I am so happy that the writer and the director tried to help you get this up, they seem like good people
I really like the eerie static breaking up the call, really feels like the kids depressing, last drowning words as a ghost before moving on
I just noticed, the kid batting at 3:58 was one of the kids kidnapped in the Doctor Sleep movie and tortured and murdered for his 'steam'. Nice little easter egg there.
His name's Jacob Tremblay and he was in a lot of movies
@@majimasimp He's definitely more famous than me.
Jacob Tremblay isn't in the Black Phone movie. It's a scene insert from the Doctor Sleep film to show the similarities between Stephen King's film and his son's.
That's literally just a clip of Jacob Tremblay from Doctor Sleep. It's not really an easter egg
James edits that in….
Thank you to both the Director Derickson and his co-writer Cargill for being so kind, helpful and understanding in helping James getting this resolved and uploaded Today. Thank you
8:22 i knew EXACTLY where that joke was going and i absolutely love it. 10/10
IKR IT WAS SO FUNNY
@Almiightyexotic its a short 50 second song called twist by KoRn
The weirdest part is that the sound is actually in the movie
I just wanna say. It makes mw so happy that the only hobby that james forces in this is his sponsorships. Other then that its about the horror 99% of the time and the other 1% is stuff like whenever he asked us to support the writer strike
I’m shocked to hear that the lead kid in this movie was his acting debut. He was good. Loved the movie. I love Ethan hawk in everything he’s done. Hopefully they’ll make a sequel but if this is the only one I’m ok with it.
Same
but he's dead
@@Cassienovi I don’t mean with the same guy. Sequel can bring in a new villain. We never know. At least give the lead actor kid more roles after this. He’s amazing
@@RaptorRed well i was saying Ethan's character is dead, i thought you were saying you wanted a sequel cuz of him, i get you tho
@@Cassienovi I would love to have him back cause I love him but I mean a sequel with another kidnapper played by someone else.
I know, I know, there are LOTS of gifted characters in the industry but Tom Savini is one of those people, I constantly smile as soon I hear his name as he was part of SO MUCH great SFX/PRop work and also played such hilarious roles himself in front of the camera, dude is just a living legend for me
To James and his team, thank you for trying your heart out to bring us these amazing videos, even if things like copyright claims get in the way, you guys still bring us amazing videos! Keep up the amazing work!
Last time I had such a huge feel of relief ("Finn's arm is MINT") during a horror movie villain's kill was at the final scene of Death proof. Extremely satisfying
Thank you to the team for getting this out and to the director and writer who tried their best to help you James!!
So glad you were able to do this episode! I hate whenever copyright issues harp on small/big horror movie channels. Thank god you were able to do this James! 🖤❤️🖤❤️
8:05 A series focusing on horror movie tropes would be an amazing addition to the Dead Meat channel.
James the Korn bit pure gold! I finally watched this on the weekend hence now watching the count. Thanks to you all for your hard work.
It finally got released! Thank you Dead Meat team for all your hard work. I can only imagine how annoying the copyright stuff must have been
I don’t usually like loud audience reactions, but being there opening night when the Grabber was killed was awesome. The crowd went crazy
I love this movie so much, but it felt to short. I wish it was a limited series that fleshed out all the characters instead.
Honestly yeah I wished the kids were fleshed out more. Robin is my personal favorite and I would've wanted to see how they started being friends. Also the others are interesting. I wonder what they were like before they died from "The Grabber".
haha no
@@protonjones54 true
15:42 Ethan Hawke and Keanu Reaves are the nicest guys in hollywood.
It's remarkable how talented these kids are. I'm almost thirty and I couldn't act my way out of a wet paper bag.
Thank you James and the Dead Meat team for all the hard work to get this kill count out love you all
I’m sorry you all had so much trouble with copyright issues, we all appreciate all the hard work you all do to get these kill counts out.
same here
7:40 is the best part 😂😂
James thanks for entertaining me for literally years, helped me understand horror a lot more and care for it more, have a good one
Also love the wrestling quotes
The moment where the ghosts are getting their last lines in with the killer is so good. I loved that!
This was definitely one of my favorite recent horror movies!!
So happy to see you guys do this despite all the copyright issues
Props to Zoran for freaking wearing Lipstick and a wig. That man's a legend. Also, James you rock! Keep up the good work!
So happy and amazed that you finally got the video up without any copyright issues, congrats man and thank you so much for making us all happy.
Idk if this is a weird thing to remark on, but I hope you and the rest of the team occasionally take stock of your impressive collection of videos and feel pride for your accomplishments
Absolutely ❤️
@@DeadMeat Please confirm that we won't have to see Zorran dressed as your mother
This is actually so cool, i love how when finney is fighting back, each tip recalls back to the kids' tips.
I know James and his team make amazing content when I even stay to watch their advertisements 😂😂 love this channel and so glad I been able to see it rise so much over the years
I'm so glad the copyright was taken care of. Yall deserve the world for how hard yall work. Love you guys ❤️❤️❤️
ok
@@thithi8793 ok
Well speaking of copyright what was the name of the metal song that the grabber sang in that one gag
@@JackDeSilver sorry I am late but it's korn listen to all of there music 🤣
As someone in the spectrum whos special interest is horror- I really love this channel and all the work everyone puts into it. I’ve been a long time fan since the first count of child’s play, and have rewatched many of the videos countless times.
Please keep up the hard work, I love hearing about all the behind the scenes for this movie.
One thing I think is so underrated is the sponsor gags, they are so good and clever with some of the background jokes and skits. Great job to the entire team with these videos and good job with getting rid of those damn copyright claims
james, i appreciate you saying “before sunrise” while focusing the shot on ethan hawke at 10:30 even if it wasn’t intentional
I can't emphasize how happy it makes me to see Zoran more often in little gags and stuff
Thanks James and Deadmeat team for your hard work "His arm is mint" don't ask how many times I watched that part and cried during Robins phone call I love this movie and the short story
That’s my favorite part
Can’t believe how far this show has came along! It’s absolutely insane
i almost fell over with surprise at 8:32 when twist started playing. i am never expecting to hear it play outside of my own playlists and it’s funny every time
I've watched this channel for a couple years now and although I've always loved James' personality and presentation, the energy Zoran brings to the show is wonderful
