- We take you on our longest offshore passage yet sailing from the Dominican Republic, across the infamous Mona Passage to Puerto Rico. But we cannot stop in Puerto Rico or the US Virgin Islands as we do not have the required visas so we keep going until we get to the British Virgin Islands.
We show you how we entertain ourselves onboard with fishing and grooving to music, but we also show you how we shower onboard while underway. Spoiler: its pretty fun!

Well we split up and sold the boat and I needed time to save for a new boat and do it all again on my own! I'm officially boat shopping now and head to the US East coast in two weeks to get serious about it and liveaboard and sail again!

Omg.... love the just Tad..... have you not a bucket? Then fresh water? Losing you would take 15 to 20 minutes finding you again. If your mate can after dropping sails, after dropping his his coffee and after turning the boat around find your slightly clean body.
In anything except perfectly calm seas and only very near shore - would never do this on a crossing - we use a bucket (or later we installed a salt water pump in the cockpit). We are typically extra careful about things like this like any good sailor is! Thanks for your concern!
I (Cally) am currently shopping for my own boat to do it all again as the skipper this time so I certainly will not be doing any of this!
Great video guys. Sorry to see your troubles with the forestay, but a blessing that it failed so close to port. Stainless steel work hardens of course. Is your forestay double toggled at both ends to give it freedom of movement to reduce the likelihood of the wire fatiguing due to the effects of a bending moment between it and the furler ? I noted your reply to my suggestion for Dr Sheddy to ease her mainsheet while she is hoisting the sail. Takes the load off everything. Cheers and fair winds.

What type of vessel do you own ? It looks like a C&C 36 am I correct ? I was part of a family Marina / boatyard for 34 years.
Replacing the head stay if I had a choice I would go for a Harken.
It's a C&C 38-2!
