As a South African who has the privilege of being able to go to game reserves whenever I get a chance, it's always a joy to share the experience with first timers, even through the TV. It is possible to go on organized night drives in National Parks, you just can't do self drive at night.
As a south African I really enjoy watching videos of people on safari and the unique hotels experience cause I just feel like it's so unattainable for most of us it's nice to see others experience it and thus I through the screen ❤
You guys are amazing trip planners and are amazing at displaying other countries and cultures. My first video watching you was the Peru Two Week Trip with Pepper, and I was trying to convince my parents to take me there some day, and I convinced them fortunately. Now, every time we were interested in a country, we looked you up. I want to thank you for the amazing videos and entertainment. You have really inspired me to travel more.
Hi there from a South African…We forget how we are able to just drive into National Parks and experience this easily and cheaply versus the private reserves..there are quite a few wilderness camps in the various national parks too where a couple can stay in a fully kitted bungalow for $150 a night self catering…and take it for granted. We just load up the fridge/freezer in the pickup with all our fave quality food..nothing beats sitting under a tree in the bush enjoying a mezze platter and a French press coffee.. We see lions sleeping under a tree and say “flat cat” and drive on😂…we forget how many people are just excited to see a lion…or hear one! 😂 We are off for 10 nights in the Kgalagadi next week and Kruger later this year..cannot wait to just be there…. Glad you enjoyed the trip.
Been waiting for this notification ALL WEEK (well really since your last video). Been here since the beginning and SO EXCITED to see all you’ve got planned for us in 2025 🎉 ps Shanghai should be the top of your list so I can show you all the best spots 😅 ❤
AMAZING! That's about all I can say. Wow, thank you, thank you for sharing this with us! I look forward to the next episodes to come ... as always. 🥰 I watched this on my computer screen but now will have to rewatch on the big screen to get an even better look at all of this glory.
how did I miss this? no notification... Wow what a dream trip!!I love thr giraffe saunter... The videography is stunning, the music and the fun you'll are having together!❤❤❤❤❤
Aw so glad you’re here! Yeah I don’t think UA-cam has been pushing to our videos to subscribers… a lot of people thought we “stopped” the past two years, but we really just slowed down a bit but still have been sharing every trip!
We’ve been so looking forward to this series! What an epic adventure we hope to emulate someday! The baby elephants❤ and the poor giraffe😢, but WOW, what a thrilling experience! We loved the safari y’all chose! It’s proximity and not having to drive for hours and hours to see anything each day. Is it possible to do two nights or would you stick with three? Can’t wait for the rest of the series to air! Thank you for sharing and all the research!😊
Two nights could totally work great… ESPECIALLY if you could optimize your check-in and check-out times to ensure you get a sunset drive on check in day and a sunrise drive for check out day!
Giraffes are just the oddest-looking animals - like a 5 year old drew them. Actually all of the animals there are all like drawings by 5 year olds. What an amazing experience and I think staying there made perfect sense - I would love to stay there! I have missed your Tripped videos!!
Sunday curl up watching the Epic South Safari trip. Absolutely awesome so beautiful 😍 wish all animals were this free ❤ thank you for such lovely video, you can see alot work.& passion has gone it this video. Lots little hugs & love to Pepper from a huge Pepper fan 🥰
Another great video. Thanks for introducing family again. I’ve missed you guys. I played Pepper’s racing video last week because it always makes me laugh. I hope Pepper is still with you. Looking forward to the rest of this series. Love you guys
Went to SA in 2023, absolutely amazing. We didn’t go to Kruger but opted rather for Amakhala Game reserve, a private reserve north east of Port Elizabeth. Wonderful.
Great Stuff Guys ! It's been a while . You've been missed . South Africa has been on our bucket list for a while We will get there soon. Looking forward to Part 2 . Sending you much love ❤❤ from Richmond, VA. Harriet, JIm and Yuki🐶🐶 P.S. How is Pepper doing ? We sent you a picture of our Yuki on your e-mail.
My tracking skills are so good that when you zoomed in to show the tracks, I can tell you that those were Ugandaganda tracks. Which is zulu for tractor... My favourite zulu word is Isithuthuthu which is a mortorcycle.
Hey Guys welcome to South Africa. I am a wildlife photographer (Sony) , and that circular vignette that you see is because you have a lens which was built for an APSC ( Cropped sensor) body. It looks like you have one of the Sony Alpha, Full Framed Bodies, and there is a menu item which resets the full frame to a cropped sensor. Engage that, so you will no longer get that round, darkened vignetting effect...I suggest that you put the lens model, and body model into Google, and ask how to reset to the APSC sensor size, and you should be good to go. It looks like you really are enjoying the trip, and so have a ball, and come back to SA again soon, because you have only scratched a tiny bit of the surface! 😛 ( Tim Driman Photography)
That is R22000 per night per person. R2700 per person for an elephant encounter. What a rip off! These private game reserves deliberately price for overseas tourist.
