- In this video, I will show you a quick and easy fix for a slow and/or clogged Keurig (K-Cup) Coffee Maker. The reservoir has 2 big cracks in it that will also be repaired. Using a 30 Watt Soldering Iron, I will be fusing or melting the plastic together to stop the reservoir from leaking. This method can be used a variety of other applications as well.

Hey Ron & Sharon, I just found out that you have to descale the Krurig about once a month. Run vinegar water through several times to clean the coffee build up out! I just did this 3 days ago!😳 Have to have my coffee!!

Same unit as mine, tried what you did and more. I now have been able to run seven large cups through it. But I’m still not confident it is fixed. Great video and good fix on the water reservoir. Good video!

Same exact one I have! I actually have 2 because I bought a new one and gave my old one to my office because the flow was so slow. Now my newer one is going slow and even though I have used the paperclip trick on both of the units, they still were not performing. I’m going to perform this maintenance on them and see how it all works out! Maybe it will fix the extra water from flowing back into the reservoir due to the clog!

Yes, don't throw it away! How many people realize the Keurig machines are guaranteed FOR LIFE?!!! Easy fixes are one thing, but bigger issues will get you a NEW machine. Just call them.

I fixed mine by simply UNPLUGGING it from the wall. Wait 20 seconds and plug it back in. Done fixed 👍

@@rontalley Wasn't dropping enough water. This rebooting trick works with many electronics today. Many electrical utilities today do not deliver consistent amperage. this causes drops and surges. My TV in the user manual recommends simply unplugging in if you encounter issues. that works always.

Hey, Ron! I hoped beyond hope that you were gonna have to tear that thing totally apart. Based on other videos I’ve watch I believe the air pump on mine isn’t…pumping. That’s the easy part! Taking this…thing apart is another. I wanna hit it with a hammer so bad! Thanks for the video!
A Keurig tech told me to use a paper clip (straigthen out) to poke through the "puncture" needle. Also the machine may not need to be disassembled. Just use the paper clip pushed up and out of the puncture needle several times to clean out the that same area. Works most of time. May have to run water throught it several times to flush out the "crude".
Good one Ron I might be able to do that. We'll not the reservoir. OK how do I increase pressure on our water pump. We have a well. Shh don't tell hubby I asked. We had plumbers few uears ago, I thought it was or is a valve?
Adjust the PRV (pressure reducing valve). Screwing clockwise increases the pressure.
Just in time..such an informative video! I would have thrown it away as well, lol. The monitor on my Keurig is on the blitz and I'm contemplating what to do. Do u have any suggestions for this issue?

I have that same keuriq. You must clean your machine often and you won't have those problems. Let you machine run through several Cycles with vinegar. Continue to rinse the machine with water to make sure all of the vinegar has been cleared. I do this every 2 months. People u have to clean you machine to avoid problems like this.

He probably didn’t had to go through all those steps, all he had to do is get a king sewing needle, and push that up where that coffee needle is located and push that sewing needle up and down beside the coffee needle left and right side of that coffee needle and voila.
Another lesson I learned once you finish brewing your coffee remove the coffee cup from under the needle because those coffee grounds accumulate in the needle
I’ve done the needle/paperclip trick so many times and it never solved the problem. I’m glad he showed me how to take it apart to really fix it.
Get some plastic ties n burn em on with the solder iron
