  • Tip for Hospice Nurses:
One of my all-time favorite bug repellents that's totally non-toxic is Lavender oil!
I get big bottles of it from Walmart and whenever I have a patient where bugs are a concern, I'll wipe the bed frame with it, sprinkle it around the bed, and give the window frames and baseboards a lovely lavender touch ✨
Here are a few things to keep in mind:
    1. Confirm with the patient/caregiver that they are okay with the scent of lavender.
    2. Remember, essential oils are absorbed through the skin, so I never apply it directly on the patient.
    3. Be mindful of the placement of there are pets or small children.
If you have any info on natural insect repellents, please share it here... I’d love to learn what you do!
    Be safe out there …
    I Love You Guys!
    xoxo ~ Shelley 💕
