Andrew york. He never stops to amaze me. His music is authentic and capable of moving the deepest emotions. He is a deep source of inspiration for thousands of guitarists all around the globe. I have deep respect and admiration for him and this new piece is soo well crafted! It's simply amazing! I like the rhythm and how he tells you a story through his guitar.
Interesting timing, making me think of syncopation but l don't know about rhythm really. Thanks for sharing your composition and expressing with such passion.
So nice, Andrew!!! I remember when you were in Holland, Michigan, and stopped at the Music Store I was working at wanted to know where there was a hobby store in town so you could buy a ping pong ball so you could fix some broken nails.
Andy, I keep coming back to this I like it more each time! I played it for an artist friend who looked at me and said, “it may be the best thing I’ve ever heard.” It appeals to many,, is uniquely you, in addition to being a great performance and stand out composition! This one could even be arranged for a group. It will certainly be loved for generations!
Ian, thanks for that uplifting comment! Really good to know the Roasted Tea has some unique appeal, and thanks for letting me know, it made my evening.
Thanks Andrew. This music is like walking around trees and flowerbeds in sunshine and rain as shapes and colors emerge and change. It must be a wonderful gift to be able to do that with your mind and heart and hands and a fine guitar.
A fusion of things that change and things that don't change, I found it very beautiful. In addition, the tone of the guitar is also wonderful! Does Roasted Green Tea mean Hoji-cha in Japan?
Ikuo-san, "Roasted Green Tea" does indeed indeed refer to Hoji-cha! I improvised the main theme in Japan during my last tour, while drinking a cup of Hoji-cha.
This is a really fun piece to listen to. . I enjoy listening to your original music. Whenever I feel a lack of inspiration to play my guitar, I love coming to your channel and listening to your music to get inspired to play again. Thank you Andrew York
Andrew once again i comment on your music!so personal, so honest, so joyful, so human, so free yet so structured (modern Bach shall i say).More importantly, your vibe Andrew, your f*king happy aura when playing this blessed instrument!you always make my moments! You're a free, happy man, I DIG YOUU
Très belle musique enchanteresse comme les très belles images qui l'accompagnent, beaucoup de goût de finesse et de talent. Bravo mon ami et bises à toi. KC
Dear Andrew, you have the art of making your guitar sing, and this groove that you introduced in this composition produces a very dancing and very light ensemble. It's just "superb". A big bravo and thank you for this beautiful musical moment. Musical friendships from France, Phil
Good evening. I discovered your UA-cam video channel and that's good. So I enter another universe which is different from mine and that by your formidable mastery of your guitar. By creating this interpretation that you play it is really you are more pleasant than being able to listen to it with us so I want to thank you for this wonderful sharing and also to tell you that I am convinced that you are an outstanding musician . All my congratulations and my compliments on your mastery. It is simply magnificent. A huge like, my subscription and that with all my respect. Sincere friendships from Alsace in France Aimé
Watching & hearing this video Andrew brought back huge memories for me personally. I still recall the thrill of the very first time I heard you. You look great and have " aged " rather well . LOL I've had some considerable adversity since we last had a dialogue. Not to get too much into it, but I lost my brother to Covid in May, 2021. Warm regards, Lou { I've subscribed } Never forgot about you.
Your composig and playing skills are second to none, as always, Andrew. I have noticed an improvement in your video editing skills over the past couple of years, however. Nice effects! ☺
Hello, Andrew! I first heard of you while participating in an exchange program abroad. After a chain of coincidences, I (a complete beginner) ended up in a classical guitar club at the university I was attending, and they asked if I knew this Andrew York, the composer of the piece they were rehearsing. This makes you my first contact with classical guitar! I have been enjoying the guitar since then and hopefully soon will be composing some fun tunes like this one in the future! Thanks for everything! I will subscribe to your channel. By the way, the piece was Lotus Eaters!
Such a cunning play! Great story that is! ... At first, green tea gives life, joy and happiness. But beware drinking too much or making it too strong :-P
Thank you for your contribution guitar and humanity (is that too romantic? 😅). Your uploads always brighten my day. Your compositions are melodic and accessible. I look forward to learning this one in the future!
