@@nextlevelamazing7865 hello, I'm not sure that you are totally wright: Saartjie Baartman died in 1815, and the bustle begins to exist in the 1870's. In 1810's, the european female silhouette was absolutely not the same than 60 years later.

The bustle era was sixty years later. Your whole premise is one heck of a reach.
I wish you could see this 1890s dress I purchased at auction. It is made for a smaller woman. I purchased a mannequin online, but all the cheap mannequins are of 5'9" women with 33" bust size. The dress does not fit the mannequin. I need to make a smaller mannequin. I think you would love the dress

why you are so upset at me. Did you even read my comment? I never mentioned Sara Baartman nor the bustle era. I simply commented because she is talented, lovely young woman who made a beautiful dress. I was and still am saddened by the hate she received by making these styles of clothing because she is a woman of color and that she doesn’t deserve it.
