Damn thats literally the shot every kid that loves basketball growing up practices.. the one where you imagine you're in the championship game and there's 3 seconds left and you're down by 2 and you're like 3...2...1...ERRRRRRRR
This felt like one of those sadistically cruel sports movie endings where everything is lined up for the protagonist team to win only for some stunning twist of fate to ruin it for everyone who paid for a ticket. And you're left looking at all the heartbroken fans feeling cheated. Little Big League, Mystery Alaska, Friday Night Lights to name a few. For God's sake, the game was at Indianapolis so the neutral site was really mostly Butler fans cheering on their little team that could. I know Butler had a really solid team that year but it was still a small mid-major school that had never dreamed of going this far before vs Big Bad Duke and Coach K who wins every year. And the final seconds def played out like a sports movie script, just not the type that leaves everybody happy.
What did that rim have against Hayward.
If Hayward made that shot, he would've had the greatest NCAA tournament run ever
Almost the greatest play in the history of sports.
This shot went in. We live in the bad alternate reality that started where this shot missed, and as a result we have 2020.
Probably the most memorable missed shot ever.

This run would of been made into a movie if that shot went in.
Without context, it’s impossible for anyone who didn’t watch this run to understand how amazing this March madness was

I always come here to cry.
Ouch. I'll never forget that. Closest the Cinderella has ever come. I can't wait for it to happen.
Dont feel bad for Butler, Gordon Hayward is now in the NBA and Brad Stevens is an NBA Coach
Nearly the greatest gamewinner in sports history.
being a citizen of Indiana, one of the most heart breaking things I've ever seen
My heart still races as a Duke fan looking back. I actually felt really bad for them. I loved that Butler squad.
Basketball is a great game
