Bottom line...75-80% of people don't have a clue or care or use all of the cameras features. Quality is quality. Xiaomi has it. People aren't ready to make the switch. Samsung and Apple have their fans and I am not one of them...Xiaomi all of the way!! I luv my Mi 11 Ultra..The Samsung 22 Ultra I had went into the cupboard immediately..good bye!!

@@thearyaputraPrice, OneUI slowing down after few months, selling price dropping down so fast, must buy charger, no 120w charging... had all of them Xiaomi is the best for 99% average daily for majority of people, maybe even everyone.

I bought one. It was the cheapest flagship-esque portal to 1 TB of storage. Even my Xperia was more expensive before SD card added.

My partner didn't wait for this and went for k60 ultra but 12t pro can still hold another year camerawise.
Thanks for reviewing real competitors like xiaomi. Not just aypun aypun. Don't get me wrong, I stopped at 12pro max but it just looked all the same. I rather control the phone than the phone controls me. Bluetooth, wifi direct, customizable ui/theme and much cheaper.
By the way, I'm also rocking the f5 as a company issued phone. Android just rocks.

That is an easy question to answer. It’s for people who don’t want to shell out a fortune and get those lovely Leica cameras and still get great features.

Excellent! You nail it. The back of the phone reminds me my mi9. Same colour, same plastic back, but i wouldn't change it for this 13T pro (besides of the 120W charge and the 9200+ which is excellent)
13t pro has glass back with plastic frames. I own the phone.

I definitely appreciate you saying that for people that just point and shoot they should buy cheaper phones. That's exactly what I do. Back when Blackberry was making phones without cameras those were the ones I wanted. I appreciate your camera dives but it's just never been a thing for me save for when I had my LG V10 where I actually tried camera stuff. Currently using a Poco F5 and I only paid 362 USD for 16 GB of RAM and 1TB of storage.
I have a Motorola Edge 30 Ultra (X30 Pro) with a 125w charger (IN THE BOX!) and I totally agree with you, it changes all sort of feelings about using 120hz refresh rates, performance modes etc. It's so convenient (even more in Motorola, who has the best battery management/ standby time / screen on time) of all Android today I think.
It's something you don't THINK would make as big a difference until you start using it. Then it TOTALLY changes your relationship with your phone.
@@SomeGadgetGuy yeah, totally true. Life changing. I don't care about economy of resources anymore. It's 20 minutes for 0-100%. 10 minutes to 0-80% or so. And I usually got 9h of SoT. Sometimes more.
not crazy about mirror finishes. Nice to see that there is an alternative although interesting to see if the pricing is the same giztop.
I'll be curious if it shows up on Giz. I don't remember the 12T being sold there.

T series are usually just Xiaomi's FE versions of their flagship. It's a bit cutdown save for some few features. I think this phone is solid for what it offers at that price. Although the 13 and Pro is slowly dropping in price.
But the best thing is this have triple camera setup and flat display. I hope the Xiaomi 14 and Pro will be flat while the Ultra is curve.

I am with you Juan. If i have to use in display fingerprint sensors I want Qualcomm Ultrasonic or BBK in display optical. Solid phone, I definitely like all of the camera feature enhancements. But man, we have the 13 Ultra 😢😢
It used to be my favorite thing about the older Xiaomi phones. That power button unlock has still never been beat.

Speaking of finger print sensors, mentioned at 01:53 made me think : Why can't they just add BOTH? An in-display sensor and one on the power button as well? It must at least be very cheap to add both. I would love to see both available on smartphones.

I just bought it last week and the phone is incredible!
For the last 4 years my phone was XIAOMI POCO F2 PRO which is great and still working very well but lately he has software crash once a day...
How about the 13T Pro selfie camera? Did you like it for photos? Still trying to adapt.
Oh I'm the wrong one to ask about that. I ONLY use front cameras for video calls LOL. The rear camera on this is so good, it's worth learning how to shoot blind for any moments you really care about.
Hi Juan, in my region the Xiaomi 13 and 13T Pro are currently in the same price point. What would you recommend between the 2? Which of them have better standard photo quality?
About to buy the 13T pro for availability and availability only. I can't find any 13 or 13 Pro's being sold but stores seem to have 13T pros in abundance! Otherwise the 13 would have been the obvious choice. At least I get longer support though.
Nice to see they've finally re-added telephotos to the t series (even if it could've been a longer focal length), but it's embarrassing that it took them this long to re-add a feature the 9T and 9T pro had in 2019.
I'm glad that moving up to these premium prices, we're seeing fewer compromises. Triple cam should be a really mainstream option now, even for mid-rangers.
@@SomeGadgetGuy Yeah, the triple cam has been around for so long at this point that it honestly should've made its way to much cheaper phones by now.
But I guess with how powerful even a 300$ phone can be these days, most people would have little incentive left to buy a flagship if the last differentiators finally make their way to cheaper phones.
Good thing about the T line up is how cheap they get after some time.
In my country the main line is expensive and you have to wait 2 years or more to get then at a good price.
Is is good that now they have better cameras and the Leica collab,something which the 12T line really missed.
Definitely some nice improvements over the 12T.

Yeah,the 12T pro just feel like a gaming phone,good screen,good chip,good sound,good battery,worst everything.
13t and 13t pro have a huge place in market maybe not in your region. But in many places the normal 13 series isnt available or its extra expensive. From where i am there is no phone that comes near to 13t
That's what's tough about trying to grade these phones. Different regions, different pricing, and different competition. There's no way to come up with one simple verdict.

The base model 13T only costs $360 where I stay and 13T Pro around $500. It's meant to be a super value buy at these prices and performance. The base model actually outperforms the pro due to heating issues with the same camera, no $360 phone out there can compete.
Where's the 2nd speaker located at? Near earpiece top front or top of the frame?
How would it compare to the 13t. Xiomi is changing its os soon, will this phone be upgraded
I moved from Samsung to the 11T Pro because it came with great camera specs and a very good deal and haven't been dissapointed. When the contracts up I will probably get the Ultra for it's camera more than anything else as I'm a photographer. I don't game (too old for that) so I don't need all that malarky I just need a high end, well built device at the right price.
The Ultra is a monster camera option. But you shouldn't give up on gaming 😁
Charger in the box is always the winner
I really liked the 13, had to go back to OnePlus because of the T-Mobile bands. I live deep in East Texas where 60 foot pine trees are. I was losing signal where with OnePlus I wasn't.
It's the trickiest thing about imports right now. Getting a good handle on local coverage.
Get att better then T-Mobile
Another often overlooked but otherwise excellent feature of this phone, 480hz touch sampling rate
Not to mention, main camera sensor is the Sony IMX 707 which was featured in the Xiaomi 12 Pro flagship last year, crazy value!
Price is where this is a great phone😊
I had pretty much all the Samsung phones from the s3mini to the S10. I then got a Xiaomi 11t pro and recently just upgraded to the 13t pro. I've never even thought about going back to Samsung 😂
Moved from my 10T Pro to the 13T Pro about 2 weeks ago. So far im really happy with it.

It makes sense for a T series, if they got a good agreement with Mediatek.
But damn I wish we would see that Qualcomm Max fingerprint sensor on more phones.

Audio Evolution. The OG audio editor for Android. I still use it a lot on the go.
There is a raw option in pro settings but idk if it's raw raw
I've seen other videos reviewers experience humidity inside of camera lenses. All of the lenses become visibly blurry. How was your experience with it?
Been using a base 13T for 5 months. Went through Hong Kong's spring humidity (when walls of not fully indoor buildings go all wet) but mine didn't fog out. I don't do video recording though, or only do 720p for space saving. I do use the camera a lot but it might be a different case for continuous video recording.

Oof that's tough. I genuinely don't think there's an outright winner. The pros and cons of each are really specific to the user, and the price you can score each for on a good sale. I don't think you can wrong with either.

13T pro would be awesome phone, but few month ago imported 13 pro 12/256gb for basicall MSRP of 13T pro in europe. 13T pro should be much cheaper. Had MI9T pro 8/128gb variant and it cost 330euros, it was always meant to be 400-500 phone, not 750eur++ phone :(
I still have my mi9, it cost me 300euros (6/64gb), same back colour and plastic as the 13T pro. The good thing is the 9200+ and the fast 120W charging. Besides of that, i will keep my old mi9 with 54% health of battery XD

I feel these companies are gonna end up facing the same music Sony had to when they were releasing a new phone every 6 months. Eventually they're going to have to pair back, and I think the 13 lite to 13 ultra strategy works far better. Especially when those 4 phones(the regular 13 to ultra in particular) are heavy hitters and you can get them for decent pricing now.
All this does is make me more excited for my 13 ultra next week. Lol

But Sony don't have a lot of phone models to begin with. Also, their phone models are very straightforward to understand. By contrast, other brands make different variations despite having the same chipset.

This reminds me of the OnePlus 10t, but better!
Xiaomi always use the Mi T series as their affordable flagship alternative, kinda like what OnePlus are doing with the Nord line. I look at it as an offering for any Xiaomi fan who wants the same premium flagship experience but with Mediatek chipset, since the 12T line are Dimensity only, unlike 11T line that has both Dimensity and Snapdragon.
12T Pro also had a snapdragon.
But I get the "affordable flagship" idea. Just, it's not THAT far from the price of a Xiaomi 13 Pro on sale. I think companies like Xiaomi need to do a better job of defining "affordable flagship" better than just saying "it's a lower priced phone with more compromises, that costs almost as much as the phone we launched a couple months ago".
The t series though is now priced much closer to the Oneplus flagship rather than the nord series

That's the hardest thing to get a handle on. The pricing in different regions. Especially reviewing here in the USA. In SOME markets the 13 Pro is on good sales, but not in ALL markets. That's where the T will make more sense, but I can't really make a video about that that anyone would want to watch LOL.
Have to say if you buy direct from xiaomi they throw in a free pad 6 tablet, which means you effectively pay around £300 for the phone

Yeah I see a bit of it. I suppose companies don't mind "borrowing" a few design ideas now that LG is properly out of the game.
Xiaomi 13T Pro is powered by a dimensity 9200+ chipset with an octa-core CPU which can perform absolutely amazing.
Big fan of the work mediatek is doing right now.

I think you'll dig it. The OP9 Pro was a monster phone, but the 13T Pro is a SNAPPY modern phone.
That's what I say I hate the most from Xiaomi: That push on more and more phones in the same year. The naming is confusing. Not long ago, I bought my mom a Note 12 and after that, Xiaomi launched like 5 variants of the same phone that did different things. The fun part? I thought the Redmi Note 9S was like the most powerful phone from the 9 series, but when I tried the same with the 12S turns out it wasn't as good as that one was. All because the naming makes things harder than it should be.
Now, we're on 13 (and almost at 14), and they still do it. Sure, that's why they're selling like hotcakes, but that eventually will make people switch until they have a clear way to identify their devices.

Yes but only about 2/3's of the bands needed for full coverage. I lost signal because of this and went back to OnePlus. Love the phone, but couldn't live with poorer reception.
Yeah what Kevin said. IT REALLY matters what bands are most active where you are, but there isn't complete coverage here yet.
This is what the Chinese do, they don't care about Target audience, they just fill the price gap to hold on to customers- Add something to 13 pro, subtract something from 13 Ultra and we get a 13T pro

Doesnt make sense. 799 in germany... i can get a pixel 7 pro, s23, xiaomi 13 pro for the same amount now.
It's different for other regions, but this is why I think these mid-year refreshes need to focus on bigger differences.
Kinda like when we got a Galaxy S and Galaxy Note in the same year. There were different options for different consumers.
here in Spain xioami gave a 200e discount for 13t Series. i've bought 13t pro for 599e + a xiamo A2 43'' television. i think is a very good deal for tht price.
In Malaysia 13T price from MYR2499 (around Euro 504).
With Euro 799, the price too close to S23ultra 12gb/256gb variant (MYR4499/~euro 890) which easily obtainable through online retailers after heavy discount promo and s23u >>> 13T pro.
Anyway in my countries, Apple, Samsung and Huawei have the best after sales service support. The rest including Xiaomi just crap.

That doesn't make any sense. This has an insanely fast shutter, and OIS wouldn't cause lag. OIS doesn't have anything to do with lag. Often lag is a processing and HDR issue.
