Something simple that I don't understand why it hasn't been done....
YT really needs to put a tick box to enable a list of common blocked words that YT doesn't want on the platform... (18+ verification to see list)
A tick box that blocks all word not to be seen by children (ultra strict)
Another tick box to enable your personal details (and variations) held by YT to also be blocked...
and then the creator adds any additional words.
Can you pass this idea on.

Dude this is great! I’m fortunate that I don’t get a ton of hateful comments (perhaps my channel isn’t big enough). But there have been some unwanted and unnecessary comments here and there.

Thanks Dee! I do that all the time, on a channel I manage with 100K subs, we get so many negative comments at times. Best advice, like you say, don't respond, just hide the user.
Yes, I hide a lot of trolls and hateful people. Better for my peace of mind.

This info about blocking name and address just in case I did not even know that this is an option . Did not even cross my mind ,I was only aware about blocking some words. Great useful video

We had a comment once that has nothing to do wih the video at all. We had to delete it as it is irrelevant to what the topic of the video is about.
People get weird in the comments sometimes.

If you block links in comments will it block the creator from posting an additional video link of theirs?
If you block a word, it will hold any comment with that word in it. If you block a user from your channel, they don't know they are blocked and their comments will never be seen by anyone.
