160 bpm for Brianstorm is crazy, marching band has taught me how hard it is to march in 160. Im currently learning guitar and Arctic Monkeys is such an awesome inspiration
@@nottheguyfromdefleppardin my chamber choir we are currently doing “this little babe” at 160pm and our teacher want us to get it at 170-175 for the cathedral performance. Its so funny lol

Great video! The band probably looked in their best shape in years during this tour, and the fact that they kept trying things out until the very end and rotating songs made it worth following each show. A longer setlist is perhaps the only thing every fan is asking for at this point of their career, but for a 22-song set this was near the best they can deliver. Hopefully we'll have them back soon 🙏
Great video! Glad someone else appreciates how good their setlist is. They really do strike a perfect balance between old and new. Seen so many bands who refuse to play anything off early records no matter how popular.
bro what was this video... got me emotional over a band i havent paid the needed attention in a while... much appreciated jack! thanks for this wonderful piece
"the monkeys will go back into their cave and come out with another album in four or five years" hit hard. the car was such a beautiful album and seeing the trend between it and tranquility base, the next one should be even more amazing and it makes me so happy to think that it's in the works right now
I was front row at this concert, right between Jamie and Alex. Flew all the way from Sweden to see them close the tour and would do it again in a heartbeat 😭😭😭 Perfect sense had everyone in the pit crying. What a night 🥹
Saw them at Rock Werchter in 2023. What a fantastic show holy crap what an excellent opener Sculptures is… and wow, what a well made video this is! Cheers
That's because at the time I Wanna Be Yours was not their most played song, it was still Do I Wanna Know?. I Wanna Be Yours became their most streamed this year
I've always considered the fact that the most-streamed song isn't always the current most popular one, especially if it's an older track that had more time to be streamed while newer tracks are getting more momentum
Been to that show in the front row, it was everything, especially The Car songs with the strings, Miles joining during 505 and finishing with Perfect Sense 🥺
I was fortunate enough to see them live in Poland back in 2018. That was a year of Arctic Monkeys for me, that’s when I really started discovering them and I listened the shit out of TBH+C. Great analysis and as much as I love Big Ideas and is cheesy as it may sound - but I absolutely love the fact that they brought back I Wanna Be Yours and what they did with it was amazing too
Seen them live multiple times, and I must say songs off The Car are my favourite live songs of theirs, especially body paint and I ain’t where I think I am
Just got your channel recommended to me for the first time, I really like this 'how ___ perfected ___' template I've got my own music channel of a similar size and wanted to know if you'd be ok with me using the same template for my own videos, I've got a few ideas: How soundgarden perfected grunge, how megadeth perfected thrash, how nirvana conquered the 90s, etc.
I saw them at 2 shows last year - at Emirates Sadium when they brought out Miles Kane, and at their penultimate Dublin show with the strings section. Both beautiful and unbelievable in their own right. Mardy Bum in a stadium was insane, do i wanna know string intro was crazy... Just so special. Been waiting for those shows all my life.
their setlists are pretty ass and i love them deeply. touring a new record and never playing any songs from it sucks. and missing out tranquility base material just makes it way too much of an AM leaning show
Maybe I phrased it wrong, but it has been played on each tour, even if it has missed a show or two. You can check here if you don’t believe me ;) setlist.fm/stats/songs/arctic-monkeys-3d6bdbf.html?songid=5bd63728
Still salty I couldn't see them when they came to Chile in 2022 because they came to a festival I couldn't afford to go to, sucks being a broke musician lol. They're popular enough here that they could do their own show in an indoor arena. Great video!
The only issues I had with this past tour of theirs was that they changed the arrangement to Four Out of Five 😢😖. I preferred the original arrangement with the slower tempo, and as odd as it may sound, Matt’s simple and subdued drum part. Also, Jamie had such good guitars on stage with him but he had a such a sh*tty guitar tone most of the time during the tour 😭😭. But that’s just me though and like I said, those are the ONLY issues I had with this past tour of theirs lol
one of my favourite bands of all time... yet consistently disappointing live. shite at glasto. shite at TRNSMT. shite at reading, shite at leeds. what'd i'd do to see a 2008 style setlist.
@@jackstu4rt I began, and after 10 seconds I scrolled to the end, and there was no answer. Don't cut your self off, and keep it to the point. There must be a place in your video, near the end, where the code gets revealed and shown clearly. Also, how they came up with it. That would be a great and useful video. And here, I just skipped. I never liked AM, and this video only proves my point. AM birthed nothing.
Perfect Sense is insanely underrated.
Don't be scared to feel something every once and a while.
When I saw they played it as the finale, I was in disbelief. I really thought they'd leave us with R U Mine?
Teddy Picker into Crying Lighting is the greatest transiton of all time. Those songs were made to play together

Hopefully they go the Bruce Springsteen route, and give us 30+ songs on the next tour (a man can dream)

Your channel's about to go off mate, I got this suggested out of nowhere. do as much as you can.
they better get back in the studio
i had the privilege of seeing one of their shows during the australian leg of the car tour. it completed my life for real.
Not playing their most streamed song is lowkey kind-of a power move 💪
That's because at the time I Wanna Be Yours was not their most played song, it was still Do I Wanna Know?. I Wanna Be Yours became their most streamed this year

They are incredible live ! I can't wait to see them again !
I hope they release just one more album
Awesome video! Even the fonts you used were the same from The Car era. So much effort and attention!
Thank you! I really appreciate it :,)
this was an awesome video! def deserves more views!
peace and love Ringo, peace and love ✌️
this is such a great video and made me miss the arctic monkeys even more, please make more ❤
such a great video bro, thanks for the review
awesome video friend! My favorite show of this tour was on Rio, that setlist was crazy
nice video mate. miss the monkeys from high green sheffield
hopefully it won’t be too long :((
This video brought me joy. Please, make more videos like this
I’ll do it just for you :)
this band live is something else... Teddy Picker straight into Crying Lightning....
HOOOOOOLY SHIIIT
WHAT. A. TRANSITION.

as a lifelong am fan this was an amazing analysis/breakdown video, my friend you earned yourself an early subscriber!

i was looking for a video like this thankyou :D a;ways wondered how they keep you hooked during songs
I’m glad someone else thinks the same way as myself!
Great video!
i was lucky enough to be barrier at this show and it was even better than i could ever describe.
I'm so immensely jealous!
top class video sir!
Makes me all the more jealous I couldn’t get tickets …
I’d do anything to see grandpa turner again
@ yeah I think he’s gonna be 60 by the time I get the chance to see them…
Literally crying cause idk if they’ll release another album
Great great video!👏🏽
interesting video and well researched, would've liked to see the actual transitions between, but interesting none the less
Such a great video!
Glad you liked it!!
505 hits really hard.
earned a sub here mate
you could've chosen any picture for the thumbnail and you chose that one
i'm js playing loved the vid :)
it’s the best photo of grandpa
@ oh fs
great video!
thank you, the one and only pez9149
a setlist wont ba 5/5 unless four out of five is there
I’m lucky that I got Four out of Five at my concert! It’s so good
their setlists are pretty ass and i love them deeply. touring a new record and never playing any songs from it sucks. and missing out tranquility base material just makes it way too much of an AM leaning show
The optimist inside of me, believes it's because of the 10 year anniversary of AM... but I know they like to lean on that album a lot..
playing less of their least popular album and more of their most???? 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
Dancefloor hasn't missed a tour? They didn't play it on their AM tour in 2013! Same goes for Tranq Base in 2019.
Maybe I phrased it wrong, but it has been played on each tour, even if it has missed a show or two. You can check here if you don’t believe me ;) setlist.fm/stats/songs/arctic-monkeys-3d6bdbf.html?songid=5bd63728

They’ll be back, I’m sure!
I wouldn't say so. It's more like, yeah, we are playing some new tunes and a few old tunes, hope you enjoy the usual.
Nowadays, I mean.
Wish they'd perfect performing the old songs with some energy x
They playing hello you now?????😢😢 when they came to argentina last time it wasnt on the setlist, it is one of my favourites
One of if not the greatest rock band of all time
Yeah this dude sounds like he listens to arctic monkeys

The best video of the Arctic Monkeys that I’ve ever seen, congratulations mate. Keep on with the quality🕺🪩
how this have so few views?
grandpa alex wants to gatekeep this channel, I suppose
Not the biggest AM fan but great video regardless
who do you reckon I should make a video on next?
@@jackstu4rtwallows
Yea but to be really perfect they still would have do cut off every song from their last album, they have better slow songs from earlier stuff
just give us A Certain Romance, that’s the only competition for Perfect Sense
does arctic monkeys ever come back??😔
I’m sure they will!
Do they stop making music or split up?
They’re most likely just on hiatus for the moment
Genesis did it first js

The setlist was shit they played all the new stuff
1/4 of the songs were from the album the tour was supporting, probably was to be expected
@ more than that when i seen them
This video is even worse than I thought it would be
Thanks for watching :)
