great quality, and result, I will continue to see you faithfully, and taking your methodologies, I am just about to start the background of the baroque lute, that instrument is not seen recurrently, right? they are a lot of oud! hahaha.. Or at least I don't know,
Thanks for watching and I'm happy that you liked it 🙏❤️ I've been watching some videos on UA-cam about Lute making process and some plays. Also based on my research and informations, I have my personal opinion about the journey of this instrument family from the Oud to Lute and then Guitars. We can discuss more about it if you like! But don't know about the current situation of this instrument (Lute) in contemporary western music! But the Oud in the other hand is so alive, important and play a key role in middle eastern (also african) music, right now ❤
Thanks. actually no, this wood know as Acacia Koa or Koa wood sometimes looks like brown walnut but it's totally a different tree. It is a tonewood as walnut and uses for making guitars and ukulele also. you can find far more details with the keyword: Acacia Koa 🙏
7:28 your hiding your great job by putting piece of wood . The end of rishs meating together in perfect way like you do is a great sing for a professional oud maker so you dont need to put something and hide the beauty of it . Those people who put a piece of wood believe me they hide it because the dont do it perfect like u do . I hope u understand my English. Keep the good work up .
I'm so glad to see some people like you put a lot of attention and do care about these important detail. so much thanks. but I add these ending piece not to hide imperfections, I liked to make a kind of sunset look at the bottom of the bowl. also in my next works even in a very perfect rib joints, I do carving on the ribs tip, add this piece to help the rib's tips strength. but totally understand what you mean and I will notice that. thanks again 🙏❤️

Great job
Thank you for your attention ❤️
Really nice. It looks like you're using PVA glue, how does that come apart in the event that a repair is needed?
Thanks. I do use Hide Glue (Traditional type) which is easily open with heat and moisture 🙏❤️
