I have this exact same tent and love it. It's rather difficult to put up by myself but I manage. It has gone through several very hard rain storms and the rain fly held up like a champ with only one thin coat of water proof arousal spray. I absolutely love how roomy it is, too.
This is a gen two. I've got a gen one mine doesn't have a back door and has six windows the screened vestibule on your is made better i use it for a dinning tent since its too big for camping for one + Dog.
This particular tent came with thinner yellow plastic ones but most other tents come with thin metal stakes. I prefer the single yellow ones that you can purchase at Walmart. They are about a dollar a piece. They hold better than the metal ones and are also harder to remove. Get a rubber mallet with the hook on the end and you'll be set to install and remove the stakes.
The cabin tents by them, I haven’t have issues with. Just so far the 8 person green tent by ozark trail. I ran to the store at the time so I wasn’t in it but it rained hard and had just a couple hand fulls on each side of water, but not too bad. That’s the only one so far that’s leaked. You could always try water proofing spray on the seems of the tent and rain fly. I just never had to yet.
@@wilderness.varieties4746 alright thanks for the reply. Can't seem to find any info on it. The 8 person one looked like the fly didn't cover the lower portion of the tent so that may contribute. Thanks!
Very few tents are actually “waterproof”, most are only water-resistant. You can add seam sealer and water proofing spray to any tent though to help seal it up.

Did you spray because th side or just one side
@@roxrey6526 I sprayed one coat on the entire rain fly, but just the outside part, not both sides.
Great video. I like mine had for five years now and never had a problem with it.!!
Thank you so much!
this tent looks nice. i like the screen porch. that will keep our shoes from getting wet if it ever rains during camping
You could also measure the floor of the screen porch and put down a tarp. I have not done that yet so I don't know the measurements.
@@wilderness.varieties4746 that is a great idea
Thanks.
wow what a chore
It only is the first few times.

I used to have the first gen version, back before I started camping videos.
You could do a tutorial on how to bend it, I have a problem with that
Bending which part?
If it's the center pole try having another person bend it up ward in the middle or put something big in the middle like a log or a rock idk
Do you know where you get poles for this tent?
What should I do my tent won’t stand up I followed all the steps
Try using the tent stakes, if you haven't.
Did the stakes you used come with the tent? My tent says the stakes are metal.

Sir my I ask where you bought your tent at.
All the Ozark Trail brand tents are from Walmart.
I am having an extremely difficult time getting this tent even from Walmart online
@@gregorysawyer3347 I'm sorry to hear. if you haven't yet, you can try ebay.com
Have heard mixed reviews about Ozark tents being actually waterproof. What's your experience with it?

I didn’t think of that being a factor, that’s most likely why it leaked slightly. You’re welcome, I hope you have a great day!

No tent is actually waterproof you're always going to need a tarp or two.
Where can we get this tene at
I purchased mine from Walmart. Ozark trail is Walmart brand. I'm sure you can find it either on eBay or Amazon.
Do you know where you get poles for this tent?
Sorry I didn’t see your comment, as of extra/ replacement poles, I do not know where you could purchase, as this tent is Ozark trail from Walmart.
