Thank you for your interest in helping us 🥺🥺 I will be there this Saturday!! I took PDD 3 years ago and failed but right after I failed I found out I was 3 months pregnant and my baby has spina bifida. Now that she’s a little older, Here I am studying in the wee hours of the night exhausted AF 😭😭 but you motivate me to keep going. Thank you I am so grateful you made these videos.
Congratulations on getting back into the study game, it’s not easy! Especially once you have kids. Being a parent comes with it’s own hurdles during this study process. Elif and I are both moms, so this is definitely something we are planning to talk about. Im glad you can make it on Saturday, we’ll see you there!
There's definitely some helpful info in here. I'm taking PPD for the first time on 4/21/22 and have just this one and PDD left (Failed PPD once after taking is as the first exam with zero prep. I know, smart move). I got selected for the pilot for the new PSI test centers, and somehow there's more pressure on a free test than one I paid for.
Good luck! That's tomorrow! Come back and let me know how it goes. I hope you're relaxing and taking the day off today before the exam. Rest, eat a good dinner, and celebrate that you're getting in there and taking it!
Great video, especially stressing how important it is to be relaxed on the days leading up to the exam, and exam day itself. Stay calm and you can pass. 28:48 is a counterintuitive approach I also recommend. If it's a long equation and you're unsure of how to tackle it, save it for the very end. Otherwise you will lose time and build anxiety. I didn't even answer two questions on PA like this, and still passed.
Aw man, I’m so sorry to hear that Alan. PDD is a beast! Congratulations though on getting in there and taking it! Take a minute to brain dump all the areas of the exam that you felt unsure about so you can narrow your study focus next time. Then, allow yourself a minute (or couple days) to just relax. Be proud of yourself for taking it! That’s further than a lot of people even get.
@@alanOHALAN I have heard wonderful things about hypnosis and the exams! I didn't do it specifically for the exams because I was exposed to hypnosis later. But, it has been incredible for other areas of my life. In terms of mock exams, I really liked Designer Hacks. I also like Hyperfine for the worksheets and PPI/Ballast mock exams because they were very detailed and provided a good explanation at the end of why the answer is what it is, which helped focus my studying. Elif's questions weren't available when I was taking the exams, but I have heard they are amazing! We did a LIVE together a few weeks ago, you can watch the replay here: ua-cam.com/video/6aQDkxNppAA/v-deo.html I just started my small group coaching program called Mind Over ARE. It sounds like this is something you could really benefit from. We discuss mindset strategies behind getting through the exams, how to overcome failing, and I provide concrete ways to get you through them. We're in the middle of the program now, but if you want to get on the waitlist for the next session you can join here: byoungdesign.com/courses. Let me know if there is anything else I can help with!
Thank you so much for creating this content!! Studying for PPD now and this helps! :)
Yay I’m so glad!! Let me know if there’s anything else I can help with :)
After failing PA twice in a row I’ve elected to dive in to Amber Book and move on to PPD before returning to PA for a third time. Here goes nothing!
Not a bad strategy! Sometimes it’s worth taking a break and focusing on another exam in order to prevent burnout.
