Want to buy this phone as a secondary device. My old secondary device got broken(iPhone X). Will it be a good device to use as a secondary device? I already use the 14 pro max as a main device. I will use secondary device for work purpose, listening to music mainly, light gaming and social media browsing.
Offcourse. The camera, performance everything is pretty good and I would say it’s pretty up to the 14 pro max but the only issue is battery life, I won’t say battery life is bad but just okay. I’m using an s22 ultra base variant and I get around 6 hrs of SOT easily on a moderate use with 60 hertz.

S22 ultra is better
The lenses from the base variant of S22 and S23 should be the same. It's most about the software in S23 because of S8gen2. But I think S22 ultra has the better camera set than the base S23. If you go for photo, you'll be happy with S22U but for video S23 is much better (mostly because of processing of 8gen1)

2. You should review budget phones and mid-range phones as well.

22 ultra has an advantage of 10x lens and also slightly bigger camera sensor
That also helps in photos... quality..
If the budget has no issue, then 22 ultra is good to go..
But the price difference is about 30k on both phones..
So if you are ready to spend 80k..
Another option is the iPhone 14...
And also in s22 ultra and s22+
Ultra is better option..

If we look at both phones with current scenario s22u is more value because you can get a very good condition s22u in around 50k second hand and that's worth every penny for it. on the other hand, s23u is still on the above side because of the new device is for around a lakh. so, waiting for s24 series is best deal because after that we can get s23ultra for very good price. S22 ultra is quite a premium phone, so it can't match the price for a new one..
