Brother can you make latest video for vocal mixing ??
Thanks for the upload! 👏 ❤
Sooo glad I got Reaper and the FREE Pro Q3 clone in JS Reeq
Mr Micheal please is it possible to use multiple peak controllers in FL studio ?? And if yes ,then where do you select which one you are Sending a particular fader to
Please I would love for you to mix and master my songs. Let me know how we can go about it. Thanks
You are hands down the best "go to guy" for all my FL studio stuff, a big thank you because pretty much everything i`ve learnt is from you and you gave me the tools I needed. It doesn`t hurt that you have a genuine good energy about you either, i wish you all the best and thanks again :)
Wishing you all the best too!
Agreed
Completely agree
I just wanted to add confirmation that as someone who has practiced something like this for 20 years, I still frequently do it anyway and I typically can identify what the problem is just by knowing the frequency ranges. The hardest area for me is the 11k to 16k zone where things can sound quite crispy and tinny. Getting that area clean is hard and requires hearing the mix on many systems for reference. It is also where clipped levels and unwanted distortion can really add up!!
I've learnt more from in the mix than from my music production degree. Thank you Michael!!!
Thank you I knew going to college was pointless
@@markl5998 And ironically enough, confirmation bias seeks out the uneducated. You don't know anything about this dude's academic output, the quality of his courses or whether he's even telling the truth before you've jumped to what you already *wanted* to be true. More to the point, you pay for a certificate as much as an education. Try getting a job as a sound engineer by saying ''listen to how good my mixes are tho!!!!'' Never gonna happen unless your best friend is the talent. CV comes first, and his CV starts with a degree. Maybe college would have been pointless for *you,* but not everyone.
I have been missing you. Thank you Sir
Right?... I decided Edison was never ever gonna be my friend, but three years ago, i was knee-deep in the battle to understand this whole process and Michael easily overshadowed everyone else in accessibility of the information, quality and clarity... And for a while he was answering exactly the problem i had, every week, until i dropped fruity loops. Still great info when he drops them. Best producer channel.
Love your videos and teaching style. Unlike a lot of people on UA-cam you stay focused and direct on the task at hand and don’t wander off on tangents talking about stuff that doesn’t matter. Thank you so much for your videos and sharing your information and insights with us. It’s very much appreciated. I’ve learned a lot from you. Thank You! ❤🙏
dude i absolutely love your content. I have been watching y'all for a couple of years just learning and i cant help but thank y'all for all the help y'all have brought.
Excellent as always, really appreciate these concise videos. No fluff, straight to the point. Keep up the amazing work!
Glad to see you're still uploading. I've learned a lot from you. Thank you.
Grateful for any one who takes the time to share their knowledge in such a humble and succinct manner…top draw buddy! Thank you.
I would normally shy away from this-- but actually I think this is such a fantastic exercise to do! Thanks for yet another banger video dude
You post videos of things I didn't know that I didn't know . What a great training exercise/warmup. Thanks again 🙂
Hands down the best source on UA-cam for everything mixing and production related!
I'm a Studio One guy, but your didactic approach helps in any daw. We all appreciate your generous help.
Thank you so much! I can't wait to learn from you about some more exercises :)
This channel will forever remain the holy grail of mixing tutorials
What a simple, yet great idea. I have problems differentiating frequencies (apart from the obvious), so I'm going to try this to tune my ears.
It kind of reminds me of Soundgym, they have several "mini games" that work almost exactly as what you've demonstrated.
But this also seems effective, so thank you.
Soundgym is fun but I really like using my own music/projects as example tracks.
It really worked for me after I look and try some tutorials, yours is the one that worked. Owe you a lot.
Awesome as always thankyou for everything you bring to the channel always clear and concise.
Absolutely amazing, useful and effective practice! Much appreciated :)
Thank you for the class!
Thank you, this is so simple, but I didn't think of it. I don't have a good ear for EQ and am excited to use this to help in my mixing.
I truly learn alot from you! Keep giving us gems!
I can tell that...Michael, The way you talk defines no doubt that such a brilliant listener you are..
Thank you so much Sensei! You are a blessing!
ALWAYS HELPFUL, CANT W8 TILL U HIT 1 MILLLI, YOU DESERVE IT MR MANZ
Extremely helpful! Thank you Michael!
Thank you so much this helped a lot!!!! You saved my life
With Ableton EQ Eight, use Q=2.84 and turn off "Adapt. Q".
Details:
I was wondering why the difference was so difficult to hear with Ableton EQ Eight. So I installed a demo of Pro-Q 3 and it was much easier to hear the difference! After a bit of research, I discovered that a Q value of 1 in Pro-Q 3 is 0.71 in Ableton, so 4 as shown in the video becomes 2.84. Also, "Adapt. Q", which is on by default, adapts the Q value to behave like "classic analog EQ". With those fixes, the delta between a track filtered by EQ Eight and a track filtered by Pro-Q 3 is null.
And thank you Michael, I'm already starting to have fun already with gentle EQ changes :)
Thank you so very much for this! I will surely do it because I do want my music to sound better! I'm sure this will help
This channel is a godsend
Thank you Michael for this wonderful tip and exercise! ❤
Awesome Michael! I started this excercise on a project I've been mixing for a week. I got really stuck in the last couple of days with the main melody in the end of the track (busy mix), it did not sound right and I could not figure out what it was. A -10dB bell at 2500Hz solved it, A lot of resonance there. Now it sounds cleaner and it cuts through my busy mix at the end. I've only done this for a little bit more than a year and I've been following you from day 1. I've progressed so much faster with your help than I could have imagined. Thank you! /Mattias
Hi Mattias, I’m so glad it was helpful to you even though it’s more of an ear training tool than a mixing tip! I’d definitely look to the source of that lead sound and clean it up at the synth if you can!
Thank you! It's empowering to know that we can get develop this skill much faster through this technique!
Excellent tip, thank you for this!

Michael you’re the best . Just wowing here at the level of your intelligence. God bless you man
I've done something similar to this before but with just mindless sweeping. This is a much more effective way of doing it, great tips!

Thanks for this, going to start using this technique.
It works! Thanks a lot.
Thank you! 🙏 You are my fave mixing channel! So informative and so easy to listen to.
This is fascinating. I love the idea of training your ear by subtracting a sound rather than boosting it. Very logical! Something being taken away is always more noticeable. lol Just starting semester 2 of mixing/mastering class and I'm going to do this on the next assignment! 👏😎
...and will def go join your discord now!
Thank you so much . Watching all of your videos is like getting free mixing and mastering course worth thousands of dollars.

So good, thank you!

Thank you so much Brother 🙏❤️
I am a big believer in having an arsenal of practices that get you ahead of others. When it comes to language learning, i don't start with grammar. I start with small sounds.
When it comes to effective mixing, what you have just showed us is a Tool of Titans.
Fire def gonna try it out
Thank you it works with me
