I’m not so sure if leftists became less left this election. I think more conservative men came out to vote because of being tired of all the wokeness in media, etc. I think that was a wise strategy for Trump/Vance to do Rogan to win more favor with men.
Live in West Jordan, UT, went election night to drop off my ballot and a ton of people were filling out provisional registration forms while waiting in line. It was striking. Why is it that Salt Lake County went to Kamala, but other offices in the same County went or stayed red? I think a ton of people registered to just vote Kamala.

Re: why the vote count was slow in Utah. Their polling infrastructure is too small! There was ONE poll open in lehi on election day - everyone waiting for 1-2 hours in the cold to vote. Early voting was only in Orem. Makes no sense! It's like they don't want to open more polls cause they want everyone to use the mail ballots instead of in-person. But we know there are issues with mail ballots and ballot boxes. We used to live in cincinnati, and there were polls open at every elementary school gym for a week. Never a line, no issues.
My feelings about this election are still on the insight and instructions of our Prophet, what he has seen, knows and has warned us to prepare for after this election .
I was at an extended family gathering in Utah back in 2016 when Trump had gotten the nomination much to the chagrin of many Utah Republicans . . . We looked at the alternative (Hillary) and decided that we had no choice but to vote for Trump. For me, the 36+ trillion dollar deficit run up by the Democrats trumps every other consideration (no pun intended). Call me a Nazi I guess . . .
An EGOMANIAC does not cry when he wins the presidency like he did in 2016. He may have been an egomaniac when young but he’s grown out of that and just loves America and cares about the people/American citizens! I don’t feel any ego crap from him today. Oh I didn’t like him before but when I realized that he’s always loved America that view of him changed.
I agree. He's changed and after miraculously surviving being shot and shot at he's changed even more and I truly believe that God saved him to be the President in order to restore full religious freedom in this country. We've been losing more and more over time.
I think your desired way of voting is just what you described about the delegate system. The delegates are elected locally in caucuses and then they vote in the people for each party that end up on the general election ballot or for special elections for state and local positions that are left vacant by someone leaving or other circumstances.
I don't know a single person who voted for Cox. Was honestly surprised he won! Within the next four years Utahns are going to have to fight to maintain and restore Utah.
In my state of Arizona, there was a proposed proposition where politicians would not be placed in the voter's ballot if they did not get a high enough % of people who liked them. At first I liked the idea, but the more I thought on it, the more it seemed like a kind of gerrymandering.
It makes so happy to see him win. I don’t know why. I don’t even like Trump that much. I am glad to get rid of Biden/Harris and Democrats. They are terrible.
I'm sure I'll get crap for this, and I don't really care, but I was one of those Latter-Day Saints who did a write-in. And, I'm not even joking here, I wrote in "Jesus Christ".🤷♂
I do think Trump supporters should comport themselves dignity and respect... but I'd push back on the idea that it is the job of those who are hated to console those who are heavily invested in hating them, whether the source of that hatred is being deceived or not. Two things: 1) I think we are what we want to be WAY more than most people give us credit for. Or, said another way: people who want to have compassion, find ways to see the best in others. Those who post Nazi memes are doing so, not just because they are deceived, but because they are LOOKING for someone to hate. Having an existential enemy allows you to feel better about yourself morally without having to change. I think this is one of the big accelerators in the pride cycle. 2) Christ didn't spend a lot of time trying to win back supporters from the Pharisees. If they came to listen to him, or if they came for healing, he healed them on that basis. He would occassionally alternate between calling out the Pharisees (whited sepulchers), defending himself (if Satan cast out Satan...), and teaching others that action is they to demonstrate a superior ethical position (turn the other cheek). But he does start his sermons with disclaimers: "Look, the Pharisees say I'm X, Y, Z, but guys, I'm really not." Generally, he ignored them as much as he could unless confronted directly by them. I do think it behooves us to remember that we wrestle not with flesh and blood but powers of darkness: the people trying to find Nazis everywhere are not our enemies, but the lies and spirit of contention undergirding them. The right response to a "My entire Elder's quorum" are Nazi's is to shrug and go do your ministering. The people who *want* to see good will recognize what is happening. It's not our job to force people who want to see evil to adjust their lenses. That's between them and God.
I recognize that Trump upholds the right principles in certain areas, yet, to put it bluntly, he is still a poor choice of character. His inflammatory rhetoric toward foreigners, his well-documented dishonesty, and his questionable personal ethics, in my view, make him unfit for office. That said, it seems Americans are ultimately getting what they chose.
Not all sins are state laws. Most sins aren’t against the law. The brethren do not have an official statement advocating STATE punishment for abortion. The quote from President Nelson is from 1985. Have the brethren directly addressed governmental laws on abortion since then?
A point to consider, the people descended from New England Yankees are all in "Blue" Progressive Democratic states now. This includes the "Left" Coast that was populated mainly from New England descended peoples. The Utah LDS Pioneers are mostly also descended from those same peoples & are the only ones to not go hard core Progressive Left, but like their cousins, they do tend to be, how do I say this... Idealistic & "Pearl Clutching" in their own way. Oh man I am gonna get in trouble for this, but what the heck.
I've followed this election from Sweden, and to be honest, I have been quite downcast following this result. I remember the negative impact the previous Trump presidency had on the political stability in the world, and how his attitude and rhetoric made racism, intolerance and hate speech more "acceptable" and expressed more freely in several countries in Europe. (And much more so in the US!) It was a dark time that fuelled the rise of the right wing extremists in European mainstream politics. I saw how right wing parties in Sweden picked up on right wing campaign strategies from the Trump campaign and it's not pretty. Also, I fear the risk of war is greater for Europe, since Trump has always been so chummy with pal Putin and openly said that he wouldn't mind letting Putin having free reign (as far as the US and Nato is concerned) in Europe. (Luckily, I don't think Congress would agree.) I don't know why, but Trump seems to hate US allies and love dictators. Also, in 2016 he at least surrounded himself with a few reasonable people who knew what they were doing and could mitigate the damage somewhat. He won't make that mistake again. This time, he's only bringing yes-men along. I also fear that doubling down on tariffs will start a trade war that will drag the US economy down and the rest of the world economy with it. I also worry there is a risk this is the start of a Trump dynasty that will trample American democracy under its feet. I miss the US I used to know and trust.
The way you guys talk about Latinos is a bit off. You talk like they are people who recently moved to the USA. I don’t think that’s that majority of Latinos. Most voting Latinos have been here for multiple generations. I live in Texas. Texas was never a white mans state. It’s formerly Mexico, the line changed but the people didn’t. Many southern states are similar.

Jacob, one of the reasons I was drawn to your channel is because you face hard questions straight on and do so, especially with guests, with dignity and respect. But somehow this hasn't translated to the commenters on this channel. If this channel hopes to be the positive influence it seems to want to be, it needs to figure out how to teach the vast majority of commenters here how to build bridges. Some comments are simply expressing relief and excitement. That's fine. But with others, we are witnessing the equivalent of screaming in the face of an opponent in a football game after wining the game. Our covenants demand that we mourn with those that mourn. We need to seek to understand. So, I understand that the content here rarely is about politics, as it should. But with politics weighing so heavily on many subscribers' minds given this season, diving in is necessary from time to time. However, the tone in many of these comments is abhorrent. There are MANY, MANY people that voted for the Harris / Walz ticket BECAUSE of their belief in Jesus Christ. I understand many disagree with that. And being allowed to disagree is important to our country's values. But, again, the tone in the comments for the two "political" videos is alienating and will drive people away from the message. Jacob, right your ship. Help foster a platform with the goal of increasing the size of the tent, not shrinking.
Really?? I've been reading the comments and the only antagonizing comments I have seen have been from Kelly Turner to Trump supporters. But sorry for your Trump blues.
Kamala Harris didn’t run a “woke” campaign though & she very easily could’ve. She didn’t mention race or gender once. So when Luke starts with “this was a vote against woke” it really wasn’t. The only thing one could maybe say is ppl don’t like the trans situation, but that was happening 4 years ago too. Kamala ran a centrist neoliberal campaign. You can say that’s not who she actually is & fair enough, she did say some crazy stuff during blm. I think she’s more a “say what’s trendy person”. Thats not at all the campaign she ran.
I do not understand how you think Trump will not do the things that he said he would do. Would you agree if he does the things that he said he would it would be catastrophic to America and to the world?
@LisaPFrampton you should ask yourself why you can't comprehend another perspective. Like I can see why you and other European-americans would vote for Donald. His 1st term, there was devision, racism was and is now being more casual, did you forget the riots that came with that? The price increases you see are due to his tax plans. His tariffs are going to make things worse

@@davidchoate512 It has never been taken away!
@ yes, the democrats took it away during Covid pandemic.
Thank Almighty God 💖
Actually, J D Vance spoke up about the right of the unborn even in the face of rape
At around 20 minutes you guys were describing my parents to a T. They cannot fathom voting for someone that Romney has condemned, and absolutely are unaffected by the economy at this point to where they can afford to take their moral stance against Trump. That was very on the nose. I was like them up until this Biden administration and now I have had to “come out” so to speak as a Trump supporter
@@macanero9720 And you will reap what you sow!!!
@ nah , it was the right decision
I’m not so sure if leftists became less left this election. I think more conservative men came out to vote because of being tired of all the wokeness in media, etc.
I think that was a wise strategy for Trump/Vance to do Rogan to win more favor with men.
Fantastic!!
I’d love a political channel by Luke, with Jacob as a regular guest! 🥳🇺🇸
Luke Hanson need to apply to The Daily Wire
Very happy for the results. Although I had already made up my mind I really appreciated your viewpoints in your previous video.
I want to go to your constitution class!!!
I would love a Luke political channel
Great Episode!
If your testimony is so weak and you only go to church for show you need to re evaluate. Always remember you are a child of God and a disciple of Christ. Always be a covenant keeper. Pray for peace and comfort.
I so love listening to the different points of view right now. It’s almost entertaining and sad.
The wisest of us choosing our leaders, is what the delegate system is. Cox and Romney bypassed this system.
Jacob described pretty close to the Utah Caucus and Delegate System. I was also in the special election last Saturday and it was fantastic.
You think the vote count is slow in Utah? . . . I'm from Arizona. We are going for the record on slowness in counting.
There used to be more voting locations in Utah! They've gotten fewer every cycle.
Im over the moon
Jacob! Please make a statement about why you don’t think there was foul play during 2020. 81 million votes for Biden?
We are not a democracy, we are a Representative Republic
31:34 earned my like. Nice impression 😂
I would love to hear a discussion between you and "Truth on Earth"
My feelings about this election are still on the insight and instructions of our Prophet, what he has seen, knows and has warned us to prepare for after this election .
Yes, I’m feeling I need to continue to prepare for the next 4 years the best I can.
1:13:42 is gold. This is a huge selling point for Trump, and I think it perfectly offsets his otherwise abrasive persona.
We won!
Call me a Nazi I guess . . .
@@phav1832 You said it and you will reap what you sow!
He's still an egomaniac and major narcissist, but luckily I don't vote for the person, I vote for policy.
I agree. He's changed and after miraculously surviving being shot and shot at he's changed even more and I truly believe that God saved him to be the President in order to restore full religious freedom in this country.
We've been losing more and more over time.
I’d watch a political show with you Luke!
I think your desired way of voting is just what you described about the delegate system. The delegates are elected locally in caucuses and then they vote in the people for each party that end up on the general election ballot or for special elections for state and local positions that are left vacant by someone leaving or other circumstances.
Luke is a future Christian ❤ 🙏 we accept him temporarily for voting to promote conservative Christian values ❤ 👏
Define Christian
What about the majority of American Latter-day Saints who do this every election? We really do have more common values than we often think about.
We need to get one of you as a regular host on dailywire to represent our church there!
I know, they have 2 Catholics, a Jew, and an Anglican, a protestant, whatever Brett Cooper is. Only need a Latter-day Saint now
@@lukehanson_ Maybe Glenn Beck could join DW
I don't know a single person who voted for Cox. Was honestly surprised he won! Within the next four years Utahns are going to have to fight to maintain and restore Utah.
Can you share a link to the exit poll survey?
In my state of Arizona, there was a proposed proposition where politicians would not be placed in the voter's ballot if they did not get a high enough % of people who liked them.
At first I liked the idea, but the more I thought on it, the more it seemed like a kind of gerrymandering.
It makes so happy to see him win. I don’t know why. I don’t even like Trump that much. I am glad to get rid of Biden/Harris and Democrats. They are terrible.
If I was in Jim's Elder's quorum and he called me a Nazi. Not exactly sure what I would say
Presidents nominate judges, which can be super powerful for decades.
I also like tuttle twins for learning you rules
I'm sure I'll get crap for this, and I don't really care, but I was one of those Latter-Day Saints who did a write-in. And, I'm not even joking here, I wrote in "Jesus Christ".🤷♂
@@harmonillustration At least you didn't vote in the Antichrist, Trump!
Relieved
My reaction: better than the alternative now let’s see it play out
I do think Trump supporters should comport themselves dignity and respect... but I'd push back on the idea that it is the job of those who are hated to console those who are heavily invested in hating them, whether the source of that hatred is being deceived or not.
Two things:
1) I think we are what we want to be WAY more than most people give us credit for.
Well, if Jesus doesn't come back we have the leader Donald, and the one, true religion of MAGA Republicanism!
Alex Jones for Press Secretary!!
But I’d take Joe Rogan as Jacob said!! Smoke a bong and talk about UFC in the White House press room! Haha!
@@FTTLOMS You are so lost!
@ it’s a joke! Learn reading comprehension before you suggest other people are lost!! 😡
How can these people love Trump so much but vote for Romany makes zero sense
Utah 2024 Trump 59.4%. 2020 Trump 58.1% 1.3% shift
Oo-Ee! Oo Ah Ah! Trump Won! No more Kamalala Ding Dong!
How would you feel if he pardons those that committed crimes on Jan 6? Or himself for crimes he was convicted of in court?
Yes that was an insurrection 😄
Why did the 12 stop endorsing candidates?
You are not wrong
I agree that Trump would've won reelection in 2020 within the COVID issue
0:56 WHAT DID HE SAYYYY???????

How do you determine who gets to cast children's votes? Mother? Father? Split evenly?
The electoral college allows parents to represent their children.
My parents just did not vote for president because they did not vote for Harris but would not vote for Trump
Didn't change the outcome 😅
Not ALL LDS members in Utah Worship Mitt “Pierre Delecto” Romney! We are glad he is gone. Unfortunately, we got Romney 2.0 in Curtis!
Alot of people I know and talking to here that are or have become never Trumpers.
Out of all Americans these are the only two people we have to choose from it’s just so sad. But when Kamala said she would advocate for prisoners to be able to have trans surgery’s that was it for me.
Wubbles.
The anti-Trump establishment people were called King Men in Alma in the Book of Mormon.
Utahns always vote super low turnout
Did Trump replace Nelson as the most popular man in Mormonism?
Pretty sure that position still belongs to Jesus
I was going to bring this up. The fact she didn't try to run on woke shows even she knew it was a losing issue.
I do not understand how you think Trump will not do the things that he said he would do. Would you agree if he does the things that he said he would it would be catastrophic to America and to the world?
😂😂
Things are going to get worse. Things were not "great" with Trump last time
How were they bad? Please explain it to me.
"Wrongo"? Seriously? Please don't use such awful fantasy Spanglish.
Also, don't forget that Regan bought the Latino vote with promised amnesty.
