@@CraftyGecko maybe the body of Marvel Legends Sprite, you can sand it down and mold it with clay or soemthin, Sprite is the only Marvel Legends I know of that is closest to a ten year olds body, and maybe the Omnitrix can have a glow feature?
Its kinda nice to see how much you still mess up on projects. This one felt like one of your more "sloppy" ones but truth be told, I kinda like that. Diamondhead is my fav of the original 10 and I know for a fact I would make the same or worse mistakes (definitely worse) and just work with what I have. Its nice to see how you problem solved this project and still had him turn out as great as he did. Also love the reusing of the buried Ezra figure, its like grave robbing but for good cause and cool.

@@CraftyGecko This is unrelated, but what goes into the process of making these customs, like what's the thought process behind which figures to use as a base etc.
I tend to try and balance what's cheapest with what's correctly proportioned and what will need the least work. Like in theory I could have made diamond head from a standard legends but then I would have had to add a lot of sculpts to get his chest proportion

No gimmicks, no intrusive play features, just good, in-proportion, to-scale figures for an older demographic. The audiences who grew up watching the show are now old enough to have disposable income and the market for nostalgia toys just keeps on growing.

You replicated one of the best aliens in the franchise. Great great great work man! Only wish you used a body that had abdominal cut and joint, I think those type of bodies are easier to paint too. Either way, amazing work!
Thank you! Unfortunately there are none with that articulation type that has these proportions. Diamondhead has a very specific torso shape that this mould matched, I do prefer diaphragm cut joints

You should use the power rangers lightning collection ecliptor. He already has a blocky hexagon shape to his body. I think it would make an amazing DiamondHead.

Diamondhead design is a lose-lose situation to translate as a figure, either you limit the articulation or make janky design, especially the shoulder parts. I love that you are being real that this one have the most minor inconvenience, because I'm also one with vendetta for minor inconvenience 😭
Honestly, the small details don't really matter, this figure still looks really good. I'm curious as to how you would go about making aliens like Way Big or Feedback.
This needs to be a thing I really want a cool statue or figure of this guy you did great you’re just missing his little V neck cut but that’s just a nitpick truly an awesome piece it must have been strenuous long and frustrating but in the end it came together rather nice if I were to attempt to make one of my own I would probably sand certain areas of his torso and legs to make certain areas flat to represent more areas of his body that are crystallized

If I can be honest, I think you were right about the mistakes during this process, what with the colour of the arms+head and the sanding. Granted I think Dimondhead is especially difficult due to his geometric form and you didn't seem as exited by the end anyway. Champagne was definitely earned, just not my favourite out of the well made previous two.
I think you should make customs of Ben Tennyson himself to get all of his different evolutions from classic - alien force - ultimate alien - omniverse. But great customs all in all, they really look factory-made

As a fan of Glenn Webb I can safely say you're carrying on a great legacy whether you know it or not, keep up the good work and remember; there's no rush. Quick tip for painting btw, if you're doing a solid line mask on a wavy/bumpy surface, use blue tack for the edges, it'll get into crevices better than masking tape and you'll get cleaner lines.
