@@watthaile2053 it's true. There were numerous impalings on the pointy bits of cars from that era. Present day safety standards don't allow them. Beautiful car though.
My father was a air force fighter pilot a captain at the time i was born 6_11_57 .he had a 1955 coupe DeVille .white over Robin's egg blue.it was my 1st ride in my life from the base hospital, chanute afb rantoul ill. I just got the exact same year and it took 8 months to get her back on the road. 47k axtual miles on all origanal one owner caddy. So it has the rochester carb and i want to go with pertronix points is it a good idea to switch to petronix?
LOVE 💕❤💕 this 1955 caddy
Beautiful car. An absolute dream! If only our vehicles had such class today.
Thats when cars were BUILT.
You mean like chromed steel points on the front bumper guaranteed to impale the legs off of any pedestrians unfortunate to get in its way?
Yes you are so correct 💯 I wish I could have been à adult in the 50s
@@cameroncooper4175 . What a silly thing to say.

Lovely 55 Fleetwood, growing up our neighbors had a 55 coupe DeVille, light green with a dark green top and interior.
Gorgeous car! Won't need much TLC to get it showroom-new again! Thanks for posting!
The most amazing thing I've ever seen in my whole life😍🤩...and the sound...🎼beautiful music to my heart

Loved that beauty I had. It was black exterior with all red leather interior. Mine even had flip-down carpeted foot-rests for rear seat passengers!

I like to see power tuning radio, full tilt driver seat, and electronic scanner for lights installed.
God father 😍
I love that car ...I have one in buenos aires. . is el dorado 53... I love Cadillacs Cars
Looks all original.
NIIIICE!
Lovely car. Just needs a new shield on the hood and some detailing. It even has factory A/C, a real rarity for '55.
Very nice but what impressed me most is sound of engine. So many cars on youtube of that era look nice but they sound like a worn out washing machine
The same one Elvis got for his Mother, and she didn't even have a License.
💯
air condiciner works ?
Factory a/c and power windows!

Back when American cars were on par with that of the likes of Mercedes but were far cheaper and ordinary Americans could afford.
Wasn't this about $4000 when the typical car was $1500?
