@Russel Alex Cerezo yeah it was worth it, a freind of mine who was 3 years ahead of me bought Rivermayas Trip album, a week later gusto niya kaiming mag palit ng album. Of course I did not compromise.
Same age dude! Did the same thing. That 185 pesos is like 1000 pesos way back then.

@@12chuck18 I always been an NBA fan starting from the Suns vs Bulls series but never got into the Cards thing, though my friends have, but 1995 was the time when the best Purefoods line up was formed. PG Pumaren, SG Ravena, SF Evangelista, PF Patrimonio, C Codinera. Ma all time favorite.
This song is simply EHeads material.Sobrang nakakamiss ang 90's.High school ako kasikatan talaga ng OPM at syempre Eraserheads ang nangunguna.Pero respeto sa lahat ng musicians at artist na nagtaguyod ng OPM that time.Those 1990-2000 is simply will go down as OPM's Golden Years.Just my honest opinion po.Mabuhay ang EHeads.Mabuhay ang OPM.

Early to mid-90s grabe umaapaw yung OPM at pinoy rock. Towards 2000 napansin mo bumagal na momentum and naubos na yung mga quality songs na galing sa generation nila Ely. Kumbaga yung balon naubos na yung tubig halos. At may bagong generation na pumapasok na medyo di kasing dynamic at kaganda nung early 90s na generation nila Ely.

It all started in UP Diliman in 1989. The height of their career was in 1995. It ended on March 19, 2002 after Ely Buendia texted "graduate na ako." to the other 3 Eheads. It good to see the Eheads doing their stuff again even for a while. This song sounds their last 2 full Albums "Natin 99" and "Carbon Stereoxide." I hope both songs from their latest work will be a big hit.

Even though it's relatively a new release from the E-heads, I can't help but feel nostalgic whenever I hear this song, 1995. The vibe is just like their songs from that era... Saan saan na punta kislap ng yong mata. Time indeed flies so fast.

The title “1995” easily conjures nostalgia. One can’t help but wonder if Buendia is deliberately referring to the band’s glory days. The year 1995 was a highpoint in the band’s career. Coming from the strength of Ultraelectomagneticpop! (1993) and Circus (1994), the band released their biggest selling album, Cutterpillow, in 1995, which further solidified the band’s reputation as a hit-making machine.
The song “1995” opens with Buendia’s distinct voice set in the band’s trademark melodic style. While the lyrics are straightforward at best, it has Buendia’s undeniable stamp of conjuring simple words weaved vaguely.
“Saan, saan na napunta / Kislap ng iyong mata / Maibabalik pa ba?” sings Buendia in seeming wonder, leaving fans to speculate on whether the frontman himself is prone to fits of reminiscing.
“At kung hindi naman sa 'yo / Ay ‘wag mong angkinin / D’yan ka magaling,” he mocks sharply in another.
cThe song is subject to various interpretations, and Eheads fans have already started doing that online, dissecting the lyrics and coming up with various theories on the song’s message.
“1995” sounds very Eraserheads-esque, and it picked up from where the band left off in their last studio album, Carbon Stereoxide (2001). The only difference is that “1995” has more spring to it, as compared to the darker sound prevalent in the Carbon Stereoxide materials.
"Kaleidoscope World" was also released in 1995. maybe this one is also dedicated to Francis M , Ely's closest friend.

glad to see an official video at last! :) to those who missed out the years 1994-1999 those are arguable the best years of OPM band music, and Eheads was always at the forefront. 20 years ago, halos lahat ng mga kabataan ngayon you missed those golden years. I always love their lyrics. The only other band that consistently approached their lyrical depth was Rico Blanco's songs with Rivermaya. (bago mag-react yung mga activists, pop groups lang ibig kong sabihin - Gary Granada and his peers wrote more relevant tunes, i know) It was good to see this song and Sabado being released. It's good for the new bands to see how far they still have to go quality-wise to approach Eheads.

wag po kayong magalala, 5 years later, tumataas ulit ang high quality opm bands/artists. hindi naman po namatay ang opm, humina lang dahil puro paganda at papogi ang mga kumakanta sa mainstream. may mga underground artists na maganda talaga ang tugtugan. pakiramdam ko po na unti unting bumabangon ulit ang opm.mabuhay!
I couldn't agree more 😊 yun yung youth nang mama ko, and i also love their music.. i was born in 97 kaya medyo dko padn alam nung mga time na yun 97 to 99 , pero naririnig ko sila sa radyo. year 2000 nko nagkaroon nang ulirat at nakaka recognize nang years and other stuff. dun na ako nag start mag explore sa mga nakikita ko at naririnig. Well thankful Dn ako sa eheads kc kung hndi dahil dun sa concert nila sa bicol nung 1996, hndi sasagutin ni mama si papa at wala ako next year after that.🤣

I think may other music video pa 'to. Eheads marks pa din even sabog na yung group, sana mabalik pa sila. Alam nio kung anong meron sa Eheads na wala sa iba kaya gusto ko sila, may depth kase yung kanta nila. Parang ganito lang kakantahin mo yung song nila tapos hindi mo talaga magegets in such your own phrases and will took search for it then you will see that there is something hidden in every song. That there is a real inspiration not just like drums, string and voices but there are something in them especially Ely.
