Innocent until proven guilty isn’t a thing anymore. One single person can lie about you and bam, canceled. Career over. No proof. and if you don’t believe them with all the lack of evidence your a bad person and support sexual assault. This current world is insane
And conversely you can tell the truth about someone but if they’re successful it can come right back in your face and do absolutely nothing. Both scenarios happen all the time where the public gets it wrong. Booka was clearly innocent and I feel really bad for her.
A terrifying situation. I sincerely hope that Booka will leave it all behind and achieve a well-deserved success. I miss that incredible clean voice

I'm going to miss her in make them suffer. I've read the messages and it seemed like one of those conversatioms between friends that wasnt2saod in a very serious way. But I guess it didn't read the same way for everyone.
I remember when this came out finding the story very fishy. Seemed like everyone jumped to conclusions without ever giving her a chance to defend herself. Really sucks because she was great in MTS.
I see no indication that she sexually assaulted anyone. It sounds like she just took the initiative and made the first move on a lad. “Taking charge” doesn’t necessarily mean you’re forcing yourself on someone. I hope all of this blows over and the guy comes forward to clear the air for her. With that being said, this is a prime example of what men go through all the time. You can’t say or do anything without people over analyzing and looking for a reason to crucify you.
Thankfully the guy is on her side - it was a non involved third party that’s caused all this trouble.

@@gunlean7738 it is, but it’s also an artistic endeavor. No one is forced to play with anyone else and if the rest of the band agrees that it’s not the right fit for any reason (even a dumb one like this), you’re out. Otherwise, there would never be bands breaking up for “artistic differences.”

She’s still friends with the vocalist but honestly I wish she wasn’t so easy on them. They weren’t understanding of her, why should she be toward them? She was their friend and they didn’t have her back. It’s cowardice of the band.
I actually believe her. It's just too weird for all these messages to get released accusing her of something so damning (and the messages are not even that bad). There's definitely more behind this that we will probably never know.
Bet it was another woman who was jealous of Booka getting all the attention, so decided to obliterate her.

You didn't get "cancelled", Booka. You were held accountable for your actions. There's a difference.
She was fired from her band, had her career ended, over a couple of text messages. I’d say that’s canceling.
@@theopinson3851 She was fired from her band because she sexually assaulted a dude and then later made fun of him about it in text messages that were leaked. The band held her accountable for these actions and Booka was asked to leave. Booka is free to pursue whatever job she wants, even if that means joining another band, but her time with this particular one has come to an end.

When the accusations are unfounded I feel like people deserve to be out in the open. She also literally pointed out how this kind of allegation is worse for men.
