    Have you tried shifting your sleep/wake times to give you an open morning before the world comes at you/ If so, how did it work for you?

  • @dergorilla

    Feeling really crappy and weak working out in the mornings. Working out when I get back home is a very very big hurdle every time (no kids but crazy work load at work). Will try!
    What I can recommend regarding building habits/what has helped me (both quick and fun reads):
    the motivation myth by Jeff Haden and
    Elastic Habits
    Btw: your video material looks so much more professional than one year ago!

      Thank you, I appreciate you watching and giving feedback. And yeah, the morning really does suck for a while. Like you, I prefer afternoons.

    That’s true. I used to wake up at 4:30 and did my workout before work… but than after I heard about “you need to workout after a meal and usually it would be appropriate in the afternoon” I stoped doing it at all. Just occasionally 😢… because sometimes something happens in the middle of the day and I have no energy to do it in the evening

      You don’t need to workout after a meal, especially not if hypertrophy is the goal. Doesn’t matter at all for that
      Now, if you feel that your performance is better after a meal then that matters, depending on your goals, but you don’t need to eat before you workout

    Excellent work, as always. Concise, well-presented, to the point. And has application to all aspects of your life, not just fitness.
    I would recommend this, not just to those into fitness, but everyone.

    Hey Jerry I saw your video on building muscle on the carnivore diet and wanted to reach out.
    I’m 5’10 150lbs 20 year old male. I eat around 3lb of 80/20 grassfed ground beef daily. However I’m having trouble gaining muscle weight.
    I'm getting stronger every workout but I can’t seem to put on the lbs. I’m thinking of upping it to 4lbs but I’m already very satiated on 3lbs.
    Im already way over my calories according to the calculators. What do you think I should do?

    • @JerryTeixeira
      @JerryTeixeira  10 місяців тому

      One thing to consider, if you aren't consuming all of the oil, you aren't getting all the calories.
      For example, 3 lbs of 80/20 is probably 2500 cals unless you are consuming all the oil. 2500 cals is probably maintenance calories for you.

    Great videos and editing! Do you train your neck specifically or is it more by-product of your overall training? Great aesthetic 💪

    • @JerryTeixeira
      @JerryTeixeira  10 місяців тому +1

      I haven’t trained it directly in years. So it’s a by product of overall training

    It's possible to overhaul one's sleep schedule. Before I lost 100 pounds I stayed up late and had trouble getting up before 9. Now I usually get up at 6.

      I feel you. Have you looked into L-theanine? It's a cosntituent of green tea that's non stimulating and helps promote a relaxed mental state. It wont knock you out or anything, but it may help your mind shut down. And its safe
