About Adventures Made From Scratch: I’m just a regular guy who likes to find adventure in day to day life. We may not be able to go travel the world, but there are plenty of opportunities at our door step. I do a mix of vintage car stuff, scrapyard stuff, nature hiking, and who knows what else?!? Come with me as I take you along for a ride in my world! My 2nd Channel: / @moreadventuresmadefro...
I'm 90 seconds into the video and can say I would gladly do this for free just for the sheer enjoyment of busting up a few things and finding goodies.
Keep digging through the cars and show us what you find. It is interesting. I bought an old Plymouth years ago with no trunk key. Crawled through from the back seat to open the lid. There was more money in the trunk than what I had paid for the car :)
I luv it
luck yu
i have a salvage yard behind my neighborhood and the craziest things i’ve found so far is a whole tattoo setup (needles, ink, etc) , drugs, money and the list goes on lol
My ex-husband used to have a wrecker. Whenever he picked up a car that was either being sold for scrap o totaled, he always looked behind and under the seats. The first gold bracelet I ever got from him came from a wrecked car.
And that mam I recon is why he's your ex, with his cheap ass🤣🤣🤣
Funny how each of these cars began as somebody's pride and joy, at a premium price, smelling new, and perfect. Unreal.
🇬🇧 junkyard roulette we likes it
This channel just popped up yeah why not
I found myself screaming “TAT MACHINE” louder & louder as he scavenged around in the tat box LOL! I finally had to come to my senses & remember he couldn’t & never would hear me screaming out “TAT MACHINE BROOOO!”😂Glad he finally figured it out!
love looking threw scrap cars for stuff.. better than metal detecting.
I found $4,000 cash wrapped in rubber band under the back seat of an impounded vehicles that was in a foreclosure auction in Texas. There is tools and jewelry in almost every vehicle..
When i was a kid we had 300-500 cars in pleasant grove Utah (Provo area) and all the seats and gas tanks were removed for shredder, we had a wildfire and all seat an tank pile burned then weeks later a rainstorm i was playing in the remaining ashes found thousands of silver coins on the ground from the seats, I got a motorcycle and gave the rest of the coins to my pops had so much fun up there its all gone now. sold to Myron Clegg, Myrons auto wrecking 1959-1985 after dad died
What genius would dump window glass nuggets on the seat he has to sit in when he has 3 other windows to pick from!!
Window glass is pretty well harmless unless you rub it between your hands
We use needle safe gloves when searching to stop needle puncture risks. We've found that the real goodies are usually buried/stashed, in the vents in the carpet under the seats and under middle console, behind the glove compartment (pull down and out), under the seats (pull them right off), and under the shifter panel. Also the change drawer/pull outs sometimes are full. Guarantee that car with the coins and knives has hiddens. I would tear that thing apart man! If you would allow us to search any of your cars after you have and prior to crushing them we would be more than happy to, so let us know please!!! Take good care happy hunting!!

I used to work at a salvage yard and you can always find something interesting...loved your commentary, especially "you ain't in love no more!"
I ran an auto wrecking yard for awhile. A ball peen hammer and a screwdriver is best master key there is, especially trunk lids.
I found several complete tool kits, tools, new clothes, money and even a prostatic leg. Jewelry and hunting equipment and in one $500 in $100 bills under the spare tire.

HI Silas - Do NOT SMASH THE GLASS WINDOWS with out safety glasses I work in the ER and we have lots of pts with glass in the eyes and some do lose there sight in one eye or both just a tip my friend now back to the video..Gloves would help, you would not want to get stuck by a needle from drug needle the newer vans crush them but save the old cars SAVE the coins in the trunk thanks for responding from your other videos LA.CA.
Not everybody has the chance to dig through scrap cars like that. It seems like a fun thing to do and is actually a treasure hunt incorporated into one's job.
😁👍 I remember doing that when I worked at a yard as a kid used to find all kinds of good stuff.
I worked at a tow yard. That's how I got my stereo system
Well I know two people in the comments that didn't go to college. S*** make it three
@@eastoncolyer5745 You would be wrong A hole 😁

That’s cool tossing the backseat one time I found a 38 special at a pick n pull
Keep digging through the cars and show us what you find. It is interesting to me.
The master key for any car!
Love what your finding! DO MORE OF LOOKING THROUGH THE CARS.
You are a Good Man Sir
That first (Orange) folding knife is one of those vehicle escape tools. It's brightly colored to be found easily, has a tip to break window glass, a seatbelt slicer, & the knife blade.
just like every other tac-force knife!
In August 1985 I rolled my best friends 5 week old brand new truck outside of Colorado Springs, there were three of us and we were just traveling the country from Massachusetts to California and everywhere in between. We each put in money for gas we had just gassed up in Denver and each threw a 20 in the ashtray. As I was the only one not really injured just a bit dazed and able to get up and walk, even though I was ejected out the drivers window onto interstate 25. Lucky I didn't get ran over. Anyway, I tried getting into the truck to get our money and valuables but the cops and EMTs made me get on a stretcher and wouldn't allow me back and told me we can go recover our stuff from the junkyard later. I saw as they led me away from the mangled truck the ashtray was still closed. We went to the junkyard a few days later after getting out of the hospital. The junk yard dude and his wife were standing there kind of smirking and saying what a shame my friends truck was destroyed. I looked in the truck and the ashtray was out and laying on the floor, obviously no sign of the 60 bucks. I know they took it, the truck hadn't been officially totaled yet by insurance, so they had no right to take any of our personal belongings including our cash. However, their jaws dropped as I walked up to the drivers side blown out back window and unzipped the headrest and pulled out a significant stack of 100 dollar bills, its was far more than just a few too. That was a priceless look, wide eyed and disbelieving what they were seeing. I can pretty much guarantee that they unzipped every head rests after that.
Just so I am clear this video is totally legal and cars have been surrendered or dropped off as junk. It just reminded me of that day in 1985 when after an accident that despite losing the 60 bucks I recovered my large amount of cash and it was a little sweet that the junk yard dude (who was also the wrecker guy) wasn't able to make off with my true stash.
happens all the time, junk car thieves are everywhere. they think once they get the car there is no chance anyone will come looking for it. the system as is, is total bullshit.
You guys were on your way to California and Northern California at that going thru Colorado… and with such a big stash of cash you were on your way to buy weed and bring back home. Weren’t you?! Ha ha
@@hubes96 colorado didnt have legal weed in 1985
@@hubes96 ha ha well... there may have been a trip into Humboldt County a time or two before and after the crash! We were Deadheads touring with the Grateful Dead in the mid 80's!
the cats in the back is where the real money is
These are my favorites types of videos !
SO GLAD TO SEE SOMEONE SEARCHING CARS IN JUNKYARDS
It was fun searching treasures in the cars.
Hey man you should wear needle proof gloves you don't want to get poked with a dirty needle be safe my friend.
Be sure to check the cigarette packs. I work in a park and we have found cash stashed in cigarette packs several times.
Good finds. I worked at Hertz Penske for two years . Had to clean around 70 cars a day. Found a lot of junk but got a good tent ,35 years ago still have that. Tools ,Drugs, not much money. I had the cops out to the car when I found all of the COKE. THANKS FOR UPLOAD.👍
5:55 you got yourself a tattoo machine and amp box with the peddle, tubes ink cups... Basically a carry case Tattoo kit, it can fetch you around $350 to $500 dollars!
$200 brand new
Please more like this
Interesting video.
Yes, I enjoyed this immensely. That trunk looked like someone's storage unit. Please wear some eye protection when entering a car. For some reason this made me think of when I was a kid, I'm 70, at the county fair they had a junk car, guys paid money to take a swing at it with a maul. Good way to take out your aggression.
And good tear proof gloves.

I buy impounded 30 day hold, abandoned and PPI cars now and then from tow yard auctions. Mostly to flip if they are good enough otherwise they get parted and scrapped. Have found lots of joints and bullets. Mostly find unopened engine and trans oil cans and brake fluid. Almost all have jumper cables in the trunk. Also have found lots of tools and new parts. My Basset hound and my Beagle/corgi mix loved to jump in and explore what I bring home. They once found an unopened Almond joy candy bar. They ate every bit of it including the wrapper. Definitely keep going with the same videos Silas. Sad there are trolls out there that complain about everything. I know out of your 6.5 thousand subscribers I'd guess most meaning 99% enjoy the heck out of your videos like myself. I was glued to your clean out of all those cars and old farm implements. Keep up the good work. Thanks
You do know chocolate isn't good for dogs, right ? It can kill them.
Silas you are my hero. I have been binge watching your videos for the past three weeks and it is so gratifying for me to see you destroy these PHUCKING cars. No owner no sentimentality just profit to feed your babies and fulfill your obligations in the world of Cesar. I have done my very best to be my very best to restore cars to their original pre-collision condition for the past 32 years working as a collision repair man. I refuse to do restoration work as there is no profit in it. I don’t give a river dam about others expectations of perfection for something that is time-limited and worthless. I love the fact that you take the time to save pieces for wall art for those who can afford and are willing to pay for it. In my next life I want to be just like you.
I've been following you for some time. This video is your BEST one yet! Great editing, pacing and storytelling!
Finally at last I thought after years of watching you tube I finally found a guy with common sense and a good approach at saving money eg car seat. With living in such a throwaway society this guy is using the most when he can. Great vid thanks for making
If the car does have a owners manual, flip thru it, it may have someones emergency cash.
the back part of the fire striker is magnesium, you can carve shavings of it and it will burn even in rain when lit
KEEP VIDEO GOING UR LUCKY HAVING TO GO THROUGH VEHICLES WHAT FUN PLEASE WARE GLOVES SAFETY
When I go to the local pull and save I look in the newest cars that are put out on the lot
I truly enjoyed this video. Had fun just watching you! Have a great day buddy!
That was fun
Lĺ
Good video! You are laidback calm guy!
Thanks for sharing!
Love looking for treasures in old cars , do more .
Floor mats are expensive, I bet you come across a lot of nice sets? Build yourself a pile of them, then take them to a Amish flea market...let the fun begin.
That tattoo equipment is worth alot more than you think.
I did love this one! It was fun to watch you finding all that weird stuff. And I like how you just keep moving and improvising!
I love videos like this.
The pull down cupholder thing in the back seat is a classic stash for kids. Check it for "I didn't bring my Game Boy."
“A cable... for Android...Trash...Ahhh” Ha Ha Ha
Always dig thru the cars at our local junkyard. Found some cool stuff over the years. Keep it up!
What's the top 3 things you've ever found?
Nice to watch Thanks!.
I FOUND THIS VERY INTERESTING. It amazes me what people leave in their cars. I would imagine you must find some nasty stuff at times. I will keep watching.
Good form on the swing
I always like the treasure hunts
nice fun day enjoy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good fun mate but you should check behind the sun visors too.
How cool is that having a large trunk lid opener.
The old cars are in Good shape
Nice Golf swing there 🏌️♂️👍🏴
That tattoo "kit" has Hep-c written all over it lol
i like this vlog interesting finds
Nice
Keep the videos comeing, really enjoy your videos.
Would like to see more of the semis... the black GMC cabover and the red Freightliner. Thanks!
Always check cigarette packs. I found a wad of money in one once
Hey it's pretty cool treasure hunting I dig it
You couldn't pay me enough money to root through those cars without gloves.
Great Video and nothing wrong with "COOL".
I like how you find things in the car's
I've found tools here and there, knives, change etc. but the real treasure you find the most are new batteries 😄
Very interesting hobby 🤗🌸
I use to clean cop cars and the things I'd find in the trucks or sometimes
stuffed down the crevice of the back seats... Was Great!
Yup, and I took it all👍💪🍻🦅🦅🦅
Thnx!
your "portable battery" is actually a portable phone charger, and you tossed the cable that went with it(30-50 bucks if you had all of it) :)
@20:56 you can see he kept the cable.
It has a usb connector, can be used with any phone/charger cable.
You can get a charger like that for $14 (brand new on ebay), a used one isnt worth selling, just give it to someone you know. I mean what are you going to get $7 and have to pay $4 to ship it? Pawn shop probably give you $0.50. Everybody should have one though :)
Cool, i do this at pick and pull too. Super fun.
Totally cool adventure
When i was a kid my father rebuilt hotrods and I loved going to the junkyards with him.
Moar like this!
Keep them coming bro
I remember doing that when I was 8 years old as I grow up in a auto wrecking yard
Enjoyed this video! You should film all your searches. Thanks for the videos! Makes me want to start a scrap yard "
BATTER UP SWING BAMM A HOME RUN FIRST HIT
Please search more of the impound cars - I'd like to see you find something truly valuable!
Yeah. Liked it.
Keep on searching.
Its awesome I do it here at the junk yards here I pick threw cars all the time
Good video , thank you.
Interesting hunt. I know you are going to crush them, but I have one suggestion. Break the window on the passenger side. The one in the back seat. Ideally, the little one shaped like a triangle. If you can't teach in and unlock it, then use a blanket, or towel on the bigger one. This will absorb the impact, and allow the tint to hold more glass together, while your hand reaches in. And unlocks it. The purpose of all of this, is so you don't have to lay in glass while you hunt. Remember, only on TV do they break the drivers window, and drive away with the car, sitting in the glass. Goodhunting
I’ve cut my arm many times by breaking the small windows. I always break the driver window out and sitting in the glass doesn’t hurt anything. Plus the slomo looks much better with a big window than a small window.
Pretty cool love it
Awesome
i would rip the door panels off too. alot of money and stuff can be placed there.
usually they dont have all screws in if its a hiding spot . loose part on dash etc
That look fun to me . Wish I had one of those cars been with out a car for four years
Darn right do more👍 your got a GREAT SENSE OF HUMOR 😂 I’m waiting on you to find the jackpot lol . I donated my ford explorer to goodwill years ago I was just glad to see it go but the next car I get rid of I’m cleaning it out REAL GOOD!!! Lol👍 Interesting and funny channel 👍 Keep up the great work and stay safe!!!

From pennies to gold You never know Good Luck my friend
i liked this very much! keep it up!
This was excellent. Please keep doing these type of videos. Thank you.
A suggestion, instead of breaking the window, get a slim jim and unlock the door.
