Holy moly, this video is one of and to be exact personal the most detailed video I’ve seen on a camera, it welcomed me very well especially as a new creator. I’m 6 minutes in and boy oh boy I’m grateful for what you’ve done. Thanks !!
Wow!!! Thanks Ben just picked up my first Sony and damn I hate the menu system but an amazing and easy insight on the system in general and some cool helpful tips. 👍
Thank you for the very good and accurate instructions. I have one question. In the screen is below the icon for exposure compensation. I prefer in stead of it the M.M. value. How can I get it on the screen?
You can shoot at a higher aperture value to make sure that both people are in focus. Depending on the scene something like f4 could work. Also try to line up both people (so one isn’t drastically “in front” of the other)
So Im wondering which one would be the better choice for me, this one or the FX30. I want to start a channel for tech reviews, and what worries me is the overheating, but if Im doing talking head videos, would the mark II be enough? Maybe the A6700, or should I go FX30? One other thing, Im not a film-maker, not a photographer, but It does interest me
Personally I think the a6700 is the choice if you’re finding your way still. It’s hybrid so does both photo/video super well. And you can add on this Ulanzi fan to help with super long recording Fan: amzn.to/46yqqjs If you know your only gonna do long stuff like talking head, podcast, livestream then fx30 is nice because of built in fan Here’s my review of the a6700: ua-cam.com/video/MeTDuy2HZU4/v-deo.htmlsi=j546f8ftcaWkCgY9
I have a question: When I connect my HDMI cord using Elgato capture card, the HDMI display shows on my streamyard live and my camera back display turns off. How do I fix this?
😂😂😂 If I knew how to do that I would have! But I've looked at videos if the old ZVE10 trying to find that function I can't find secondly do you know why the display screen shuts off when I connect the HDMI?
I love this camera but for some reason, the eye tracking is not working. When I shoot video or stills. AF is on, yet my footage is still blurry. I don't know if it is focusing on me when i hit record and then not adjusting focus as I move away to position for record. This is when I am setting my camera up on a trpod and moving into the screen to selfie-shoot. so I can't see from far whether I am in focus on the screen or not. Any ideas please? 😢
@@benjohnsoncreative it was the touch to focus on the screen that was tripping me up. If I touched the screen when i was close, it focused on me but then when I moved away, the focal point didn't update. So the options are to 1. not touch the screen to focus or 2. turn off the touch to focus. Thanks for answering me though. Hope this helps someone else who might be having the same issue. Love your tutorials and content by the way.
Two missing things on sony that keep me away. h.265 30fps and disable noise reduction in video. They can sneeze and give is these things, yet they don't.
Who cares. Its a great video ! And just what would you expect from a “review” video? Really…..do tell. This video is not for YOU! Its for people like me who are new to photgraphy and need to learn their cameras, lenses, settings, menus etc. make your own channel….see how well YOU do.

Thank you for watching. Ben Johnson has been an inspiration to many of us!
agreed !!!
Just bought this camera! I’m so thankful for this video!
Glad I could help!
Sony must pay you for this, very informative
I’d love it if they did 😂 they sent me the cam early to review, but I don’t get to keep it lol, already sent back. Maybe one day
Ben! The camera came today and I shot right over to your channel after seeing your amazing short with the ZVE10. Thanks so much for this xx
Amazing!! I hope you love your new camera!
Just bought the camera. I'm going to be spending a lot of time here!
I ve watched maybe 15 videos about settings. That was the best video you are fantastic. sony must give you award bro! thank you
You are the only one that spend hours to give us this video. Kudos! I am going to make use mine well. Subbed!
Appreciate that, glad it’s helpful!

I agree! 😉

Great tutorial Ben, 👌🏼
Glad you liked it!
Thank you, Ive watched one other similar video also done really well. This is so helpful for newbies. Thank you!

I have one question.
In the screen is below the icon for exposure compensation. I prefer in stead of it the M.M. value. How can I get it on the screen?
Standard stabilization is not available becasue no IBIS and the lens is not OSS?
I believe so, I have standard available with that same lens on the a6700 which has IBIS so I’m assuming that’s true
que formato recomendarías para grabar? cual ofrece mejor calidad en relación al tamaño que ocupa?
Hey Ben, I have a macbook pro M2 with 8gig RAM, you think that can handle HS coded fine?
Hello, i would like to know if there is a " cleaning mode " ? I dont find it at all.. cheers
This is very useful, thanks
Glad it helped!
when we first buy to the camera should we update online? or directly use? also ıf we buy microphone do we need extra settings for that?
To Use this all this settings is better to go with v90 card or v60 is enough ?
V60 can work, I use v90 because it’ll be faster. V60 may struggle with the “SI” mode of the file formats which I do not recommend using anyways
Hey Ben! Thanks for the video, how does AF work when you have a 2 person shoot and only using one camera angle, will the other face be out of focus?
You can shoot at a higher aperture value to make sure that both people are in focus. Depending on the scene something like f4 could work. Also try to line up both people (so one isn’t drastically “in front” of the other)

great review!!
Do you know if this camera can do 4K slow motion in S&Q mode? or the S&Q mode only restricted to HD?
It can do 4K in S&Q mode, but no audio is captured and the files are automatically slowed down
@that’s really great!! i appreciated, thank you so much!
Which camera are you using for your talking head setup? Thanks :)

Try turning “HDMI INFO DISPLAY” off

Make sure that your autofocus area is set to “wide” and that subject recognition is on, and set to human

What free editing software do you offer for a youtuber? I tried fainal cut. Hope you remembered me!
I’d recommend CapCut desktop
Thank you
How did you turn off the side icons on the LCD SCREEN

@@benjohnsoncreative Sony did not know how?🤔🤔🤔
How many Mbps in HD 60fps?
Is it normal that your battery drained just by touching the menus for 2 hours?
I bought that camera brand new in Japan and the camera says it can’t translate to English 😢 so now I’m messed up (the first camera I bought 😢)
Reach out to Sony! Maybe they can help
