And even watching those old tapes now in their grainy, untracked, warbly state, somehow brings back warmer memories that watching 100% crystal clear versions of them on retro dvds. Weird eh? :)

Incredible! I remember seeing this video when it was shown on TV in LA, I think on Ch. 9. I was the only kid in my school that watched MV3. I also remeber the cute female host. Since I went to a black junior high school, no other girls looked like Nunn. Of course, I too feel in love with Terri - I ad to wait until I went to USC to get me one that looked like her. the sound of the synth in this song has the perfect balance of a warm and cold sound. i don't understand why we ever left analogue synths behind. they were so much more friendly, and less cheap sounding.

Why can't there be a show like this for bands who are inspired by these from the 80's for these days? I remember on KTVU Channel 2 in San francisco that a few hours of MTV were broadcast from 3pm to about 6pm on weekdays and from 1pm to 4 or 5pm on Saturdays Just after Solid Gold which was on at Noon just after American bandstand. I was just 3-5 years old and still remember this now. Seriously we need a decent Music channel that plays Music 24 hours new and old!

What was cool about this music is that the subject matter was not always so cliched. And the music itself was mysterious and different.
