This guy took me by surprise, by being way more interesting than his conservative appearance suggested. I was riveted by his testimony, even tearing up at times at the amazing grace he described. Would love to see him on again.

When is the next one with Fred as a guest? I did not know that Joel Osteen had a sister.
My sister is a missionary and has been since the late 60's. She was in same place as Fred Markert and the same time. I wonder if their paths crossed.
She smuggled Bibles into east Europe, and brought food supplies to refugees during the Bosnian war.
She was afraid a couple of times but each time she was in danger, a miracle would happen. She'd never think herself to be brave but you're risking your life doing what she and Markert were doing. It's frowned upon is an understatement!

I've never done this before, I ask a prayer request. I need to be reconciled with my adult children I haven't seen in 18 years and my grandson I've never seen. I put my faith in the lord but my prayer has not been answered, am I doing it wrong?
Reach out to your son in faith, believing that God will intervene in the atmosphere and touch his heart so he/she can open to you. First things first, Ask for forgiveness in humility. Don’t give any excuses or explanations. Later, when your relationship is strong enough, then provide details if needed. Tell them that you have LOVE them and let them know how (praying, saving money to leave an inheritance, learning how to be a better person so you can bless them and your grandchildren, tell them everything you have done that will show them repentance of your past mistakes and everything you have done to straighten up whatever was wrong. Shower the process (changes will take time), with abundance of prayer 🙏🏽 and faith in God. Reach out to a Pastor, counselor or professional to assist you during the process. I will keep you and your loved ones in my prayers.
God knows something you don't. I know its hard.
I can understand your desire for relationship with your children but they have their own free will choice to make and they have chosen to not allow you into their lives. The prayer you can now pray is for God to bring anyone He wants to into your life that you can be a father-figure to. As a disciple of Jesus the whole world is now your family and He may want to send specific people to you for you to invest His love in. Ask God for who He wants you to include into your family. I was in your shoes and still am somewhat, but take baby steps. If you have no relationship now, you almost have to earn the right to be heard and speak into their lives. If they are holding something against you, pray and ask God to reveal those things to you and how to approach that conversation with them. God will truly reveal this to you because He has the heart of a Father and wants your children to have that blessing with you and their Father in Heaven. Don't give up! It will take time to prepare everyone's hearts.
God is so good he will work it out. What the enemy meant for evil God will turn around 🙏 in Jesus name amen ❤️ 🙏 🙌

He who knows history, knows the future basically. Cause life is in cycles. Even Jesus said that the last days will be like the days of Noah and Lot. Even Solomon said that there is nothing new under the sun. People who ignore the OT as believers are really misguided cause it also contains great historical records to be studied.

I liked Fred's presentation, but don't believe his excuse for drugs and other sin that he did in college - that "everyone was doing it." "Everyone doing something" whether it be drugs or sex, does not make such behavior, such sin right or acceptable to God, does it, Fred?
