I didn’t get a chance to go to music college until I was 37. Best experience I ever had as musician. I too am a hobbyist and earned my living doing other things. Wouldn’t trade my performance degree for all the money in the world. You did a great job. The chaconne too for me is must do in my life.
Incredible playing. I like how gently you play the piece. Having played this for 15 years on the violin, I can tell you now that I have never had a perfect recording, as my taste and skill changes throughout my life. The chaccone is a life project, and it only becomes more “you” with time. I have no doubt you will do this piece justice. Thanks for the video, and have fun practicing this transcendental work.
Thank you so much - this comment really means a lot to me. As you said, I feel it’s a lifelong project, and I’m so thrilled to not only make a meaningful attempt at it, but also to have an opportunity to share the journey. Thank you for watching!
Thank you, that was beautiful. The way you played the opening I had to stop what I was doing and give you my full attention. I was lukewarm on practicing tonight but now I feel great 😄
As a fellow guitar hobbyist it's also a dream of mine to one day play the chaconne at a performance quality level. I think I'm still a good way away in my abilities from that though. Good luck you on getting into conservatory and keep up the good work!
Thanks!! Conservatory is an unrealistic dream for sure. I’ve decided not to do it, and to just keep studying privately at that level, ~2h/day rather than 8/day. Longer time-horizon but I think I can get to the same place, while accomplishing other cool things.

Thanks so much for the encouragement 🙂 I hope to see your Chaconne someday!
Really well done! Keep it up and keep posting. I’m supporting you from a distance.
Thank you so much! 🫶

Hey thanks so much!! You’ll get there, why not start today? Plenty of variations are easier than the hard ones, and just as beautiful 😁
Fantastic. Words of encouragement. You're on the right path. Employment status. I would work for you. Lol. I appreciate how frustrating that peice is
😆 Hit me up, I have plenty of work for the right person! And thank you so much 🙏
Valiant effort. Not an easy piece for anyone. You have a great attitude. Conservatory I think is overrated. Good luck with your dream though. 🎉❤️🎶
