There is a video on SamThompkins channel of an early attempt at Busking on the street at 16 he was looking down at the floor no microphone or guitar. His friends were filming him.
Ren was walking home early because he wasn't well
Ren noticed Sam's amazing voice
He offered his microphone and speakers and to back him on guitar
He told him every one would be listening and he could keep the money donated
Sam made quite a lot of money gained confidence and an older friend /brother
Its worth checking out.
The first song they made together after Rens stem cell treatment gave him back some health was called Blind Eyed and went viral around the world

Ren has said that he gets into a flow state when he performs and it’s so noticeable. He just becomes the music, the instrument is a part of him. I don’t think he quite realises how incredible he is. People think we are just blowing smoke up his ass but he really is a once in a generation genius and I don’t say that word lightly 🖤

Thanks for this emotional roller coaster of music. When Ren started its a man's world the tears were flowing not because of sadness but because of the excellence and even more with the guitar solo on the final song. This one is so beautyfull, Ren playful, enjoying himself and them both shining. But Ren does like making other artists shine and don't mind taking a step back from time to time. I think he is so confident and comfortable with his performance ability that he just has fun with it.
Ren ha said that he did a lot of people watching while busking to find out what the crowed wanted and what they did not like as much, that way he got better at performing. Now its just an instinct that comes natural to him, I would say and he can stay in his "flow state" as he calls it. He is music and can play many, if not all instruments given the chance to play around with them a little first... Beat boxing is another skills he has worked on since he was a kid and he use it in a few of his songs when he wants that element in them. Like in The Hunger for example.

Given your background and the music you enjoy, I would really, really love to see your reaction to *Sam Thompkins' LIVE performance of his song 'Hero'* that he wrote for his dad when he overcame depression/s_icide for some time; the LIVE performance was done after his father eventually succumbed to his depression. It is an amazing and powerful yet heartbreaking performance.
