The girl at the beginning is known as "The Bullet" and her appearance throughout history is a harbinger of death, everyone who interacts with her after this moment dies.
They use a lot of the cast in more than one role, so that's why you saw the one lady get killed by the British and then saw her again in the next song. As Beth D said, she now represents "The Bullet". Keep an eye out, because anyone she interacts with from now on is doomed to die.
