I've been wanting to see this trail for awhile now. Finally got a chance to go with 3 buddies to explore this trail that starts in Twentynine Palms and connected all the way to Joshua Tree National Park. This trail ends up to be much longer than I anticipated.

@@JonnyQuattro92 GET ON MY LEVEL BRO🤓
@@jurelle already there bro!! Have you ever surfed on the back of mikes truck on a trail?? That’s what I thought!!! 😎
@@JonnyQuattro92 whoaaa you didn’t have to one up me like that bro!!!!😂❤
Let's go back and explore a few more trails in that area man...so many
Ah hah! You ran into the SoCal4Lo guys! So, the road to the Brooklyn mile is much more rockier than Old Dale. Once you go up the steep climb, it's worse than Old Dale. There's two mines up there, the Brooklyn mine and the Golden Egg mine. The road to golden egg is a little rock garden reminiscent of the trail that leads to funnel lake.
Yea...I didn't realize they had a run going on til the day before we went. Man...had no idea how many mines there are in that area. I gotta go back so explore more.
I did that a couple of months ago in the dark. Windy .cold and dark and camped up on the rim. Fun shit.
Man...in the dark would've been fun haha...I imagine it takes the off roading experience to a whole another level
Awesome video! Man that was a long day lol going into the night!! 👍
Thanks Rod...yea, I totally underestimate how long that trail was. Day light is so valuable during winter haha
great video Mike... appreciate the footage view from below... you think stock tundra can make it down at your 10 min mark?
I think so...I've seen a rav4 going down. Just go slow and choose a good line and you will be fine.
We did the same route last year. Gotta boogie real fast over those washboards or you're shaking bolts and your teeth loose!
Definitely was fun to let loose a bit on those washboards with the Kings
Brooklyn Mining Dist is a fun place to explore. I usually start my run off of Dillion Rd go up about 1 mile hit dirt then go east to Thermal Canyon into JTNP to Old Dale Rd you know the rest! Also instead of turning left in B.M.D. I go east bound to no man's land!
That's some good infos there...im planning on seeing more of this area but there's so much to see.
What's your feeling on this being done in a full size rig 4 x 4 Ford Econoline, 35s?
What’s up with that tent at that last part? 😆 that gmc canyon looks so cool!
I really think they're boondocking there
Nice man 🤙🏽 when are you going to do a subscribers off road day/ camp that would be dope 👍🏻
Hopefully this year...not sure location though
Next time go to Joshua Tree BLM (30 mins west) to camp. Large open space.
Right before Brooklyn mine are some decent rocks! Family and I explored and went in the mine last year day before getting married out there.
I really want to go back and explore that area a bit more.
Have you been to Indian valley reservoir up past Clearlake?
No I don't think so...how far is it from Orange County?
@@Michael_Tran oh it’s pretty far from Orange County 😂
i tried following this trail but it split into so many variations i ended up nowhere and turned around.
It can be a bit confusing...I had to reroute one time because the trail ends up to a different area.
Is your taco 2wd?
my old one yes...this new tacoma is 4x4
Awe man you put this out too fast I didn't get you my footage of you. Sorry buddy
Haha...looking forward to your video bro!
No BLM land close by? That place is gorgeous.
The beginning of the trail and near the mine is all BLM but we didn't want to camp with such open area...it was so windy
doesnt look that bad was off gold crown rd bunch of days ago. me 3rd gen tacoma 2 wheel drive. (lsd rear end). ,(limited slip differential). but probably not a place to drive by yourself. me orange county. have a good day. what is the app
Honestly not a bad trail at all...just a bit rocky but going down wasn't bad
@@Michael_Tran looks easy. been on rocky roads. not much of a problem. have to go back. a bit. have a good day.
