@@SergioPamiesMusic the other day i heard a rendering of moose the mooche, and i thought it was Bud! hahaha, when i checked, it was barry! hahaha... some say Mr Harris always talked about checking Bud Powell out
@@usmc1875 yes, Bud Powell and Monk. He even lived with Monk for a while, and that may be one of the reasons he is one of the pianists that plays Monk's repertory on a different level!
I enjoyed the video and appreciated the transcription. I emailed Sergio to ask for a pdf but haven't heard back yet. I'll try contacting him through his website.
Do better? Do I need to remind you this is available for you for free? I know what Mr. Harris played both in his right and left hands. If you need to go to UA-cam to find out, I think you are the one who needs to “do better.” I am sorry but your comment was disrespectful
@@SergioPamiesMusic No disrespect intended , my friend. Just because it's free, one doesn't need to accept work half done. If you want to be honest, you should clearly state - right hand only. I personally don't need it as I transcribed this and quite a few other solos from this record years ago. If you need help with left hand part just ask instead of being offended.. Cheers!
Those improv lines are solid 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🤘🏾
👏👏 Dr. Barry Harris
Thanks for the transcription. Great job indeed.

Thank you Suzy, I cannot agree more with you!!
He's a master. No wonder his lessons are so profound
@@diplamatikjuan3595 He is the best jazz educator I have ever seen. And his teaching keeps alive a very specific tradition
