I have an original stand up. Mine has tons of water damage and cracked steering gears. Had the board repaired and runs well. I do like that the 1up includes so many great games on one cab.
i'd love to have real arcades but i don't think i would want to try to move them or would like the upkeep not to mention these are cheaper so i'm pretty satisfied with the arcade 1up versions.
So i guess it turns out most people don’t want realistic physics like forza and gt . People want old school arcade car racing games where u can go 100 mph and turn on a dime
There is room for both
The sound you are hearing from behind the screen is a fan that is blowing on the pcb board. Not sure how loud it is suppose to be, but that is probably where the noise is coming from.
San Francisco rush, sega rally, ridge racer and cruisin usa would be awesome or even separate cabinets with a few different versions of each of those games would be awesome
Definitely!
I can’t wait til they make a Crazy Taxi one!
It absolutely needs to have the original soundtrack though.
@@MasterMayhem78 Yeah yeah yeah yeah... yeah...
Can't wait to see someone mod it into a RUSH cabinet 😎
Nice review, you should show how you made the chair mod.
Yes please I need to know
Great idea for the chair mod!!! Got mine coming in 2 weeks- really been hearing the seat they give u sucks so I'll probably do something like this- thanks
The sound you are hearing is a fan behind the screen that keeps the PCB board cool. It is normal.
Ok but it's super loud in this one!
I can hear the fan running on mine the whole time it is on. It is not super loud though.
The fan shouldn’t be too loud. The fan might be hitting a wire or causing vibrations if a screw is loose.
I screen the PCB cover and check for obstructions or loose screws
Too bad they only make so many of these...Can't find anymore at all... :(
wonder if pole position is coming, with pole position 2, paperboy, and super sprint included.
Thanks for the review on this 👍 Might pick up the stand up version whenever that comes out.
Sorry totally disagree - Scanlines are part of the Experience! Since we cannot have CRT monitors. Just Saying! I don't want smudged pixels!
Bright and Tight! Love this review bud!!! 🔥 Your game chair mod is actually a really good idea, did you actually try it like that, if so... was it comfortable?
Thanks. Not yet, I've been way too busy lately LOL
Who is this guy? Jon Lovitz😉
Hey man great video, would you mind sharing how you got the seat to secure to the bench?
I'm so confused. Every sentence sounds like a question. My brain is processing.
Ok I'm not the only one. It's unsettling
It looks like there’s a lot of lag from turning the wheel to seeing the car move.
Buzz sound is the fan by pcb..
Eh, maybe if it had OutRun 2.
My Outrun cabinet makes a popping noise each time I turn on the power button when the screen displays the Arcade1Up logo.
I would love a OutRun cabinet but their Customer service in the UK is beyond a joke, 1 year on I'm still waiting on a new screen bezel from them for my SF2 cab which was scratched out of the box. In hindsight I should have returned it to Amazon and repalced it...
We’re can I get a foot paddle from any advice will help please a thank u 🙏🏽
I'll wait for Daytona USA
Could you imagine a Daytona 1up version?
Daytona and Sega Rally. I'd buy that Day One.
What kind of chair did you use? Did you have to do any modifications for it to fit?
It's a gaming chair that I already had. The fit is close but needs modified. I just haven't had a chance to finish it. I might have to do a video on it once completed.
@@FishBeeProductions yes please do a video on the chair and what kind of chair it is if it works if possible, thanks man!
Great review Brian. Undecided on whether to get the sit down or stand up. Was that an Arcade1up stool you used for the stand up portion of the video and how did it compare to the seat that came with? Thanks Brian.
Yes it was an arcade 1up stool. The bench cushion is decent quality actually and softer than the stools.
One of favorite
Try to tighten the screws in the back..!
Sorry if this question was already answered but what is the overall length of the cab with the bench attached? Thanks!
Around 5' but it depends on how far away you position the bench seat
I dont think outrun was multiplayer so think ur out of luck on that one
i want after burner cabinet with canopy hell yeah
Best review out there haha
They couldn't even get the car license ..
I rather get ridge racer instead of out run cause ridge racer is a real racing game when you compare it to out run Sega really didn’t make racing games I have out run on my Nintendo Switch I bought it when it went on sale I played it only once and didn’t see such a big deal Namco is my favorite car games
wow!
1. The screen is not a CRT
2. Both the earlier Outrun games do not refresh at 60hz. Unless the screen is a variable refresh rate monitor the games will play at the wrong speed.
3.Outrunners has never been properly emulated. Maybe these "arcade 1up" guys can beat 20 odd years of MAME development but i doubt it
4.. Does anyone even care if the games works correctly or not? This seems like it's for someone who doesn't really care about accuracy and just want an "ornament". It's for Hipsters.
it look properly emulated to me
Noone cares. This thing looks like a milk carton to me. Better off buying a quality wheel and a raspberrypi
The display seems too small for the unit. Wasted bezel space.
Cause your not used to games not being widescreen or 16.9 ratio, this would be a stretched mess without borders, its 4.3 ratio picture, looks great
@@lock7852 Seems logical, but I'm heavy wit the retro and have a blinged' up arcade cabinet. I'm referring to a 19" 4:3 display for the A1Ups- especially the Buck one. Added: I do have a 23" widescreen, but use the side space for bezel art. The actual game display area is 19".
A bigger monitor woulda been nice,600 is cheap for a full size new sitdown cab so it is what it is i guess
You sound like the honeybager narrator.
But, hey, problem solved!
Why do they ALWAYS leave out the price on these types of videos??...NOT helpful.
Price usually changes is why I don't always. I think this one was around $550 at the time of this video.
give me daytona
Yawn. Outrun is one of those games nobody really plays anymore. A linkable Daytona cab with force feedback and a larger screen might have been of interest. 17" screen is too small for a racing game and it's no fun if you can't race against a friend.
Far too small- needs foot pedals made out of metal .
Classic ArcadeFup quality 👎 and
all that plastic is not worth the price
these things suck. They give the original cab's a bad name. They were soooo much better than this.
Uh ... maybe that's the reason why these products run for $500, and not thousands of dollars. It's a tradeoff to reach more consumers, but with the right mods the cabinet should still run well.
