Come see how I painted this calming colorful canvas using multiple tools and paint markers. I used a stencil called the "seed of life" for a minimal guide. I just wanted to show how you can use any guidelines and make a beautiful unique mandala.

Just came across your channel! I started exploring dotting about a month ago…and I’m absolutely obsessed with it! Sooo enjoyable to do, and so meditative! I made glass mosaics for about 10 years, but got burned out; for a few years, I stopped making art all together. Started creating again a couple of years ago, dabbling in this and that, but I’d been intrigued by dotting, so while strolling through Michaels, I picked up a set of tools. Been excited loving and playing ever since, and they bring me great joy! I totally agree with what you said about slowing down and enjoying the process of doing it, dot by dot. @@MirandaPitrone I do want to, but at this point in my life, dotting is absolutely perfect, and has a small footprint - easy to set up, minimum messiness, and easy, quick cleanup! And much less expensive to boot! 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾

I think that we are so rigid generally in life. Especially people who start off in pointillism or dot painting. I used to count every single dot I put down and if they didn't match on either side I would get frustrated. I've come to believe that that's not the point of Art. We should enjoy the process, try new things, be unique in our journey. There are unlimited possibilities we just have to keep trying to find them. 😉💓💓 I would love to see how it goes for you. It might be your paint consistency...is it too thick?
I just wanted to add that you should use the right amount of paint. I have increased my paint usage and it is easier to get great results!
I dont think it's to thick, then again it could be. I will play with the consistency.

I’m pretty new to painting mandalas. I now see that having a stencil is mighty helpful lol. Could you tell me how I would shop for the etcher tool and what markers you used at the end for the swirl design. The Posca markers I bought are not very good for nice work. Thanks!!! Many blessings 🌸
But stencil can be helpful but you shouldn't feel confined to the lines. I think people get caught up in making it perfect and then get frustrated. The etcher I sell in my shop at www.mirandapitroneart.com
The markers I used in this video have a link to them in the description. I used artistro for these ones it was the metallic set.
I usually try to link whatever items I use in the video. I put them in the description so you guys can go and take a look at them or see if you might like something else comparable.
