My two month old car has light swirls. Do I polish and then Three Way or the other way around? Thanks sincerely for your help!
Always do it before the polishing process, this product will just strip the waxes you put on but it will not harm your paint.
Michael thanks sincerely!
Bit too late to give you a reply but Three Way should be use as the last step before any sealant, which is after polishing.
Paint correction compound is an abrasive, it is not meant to be left on your car because they do no purpose of protecting or enhancing the look. Three Way is the product that strips off anything that gets in the way of sealing. It gives you the best final clean surface for waxing or ceramic coating ect..
i tried bowdens three way today
seems to work good.
BUT it stinks!!! the foul odor will stink up your car
or your garage! Even if you dont use it. It will stink up where ever you leave it
You obviously haven't used many iron reactive cleaners before haha.
Is it worse than the tar remover? That one smells foul and toxic too.
@@AlexSwan I didn't try tar remover,if it's like three way it stinks and makes you feel like you want to vomit
o no what are you doing? Your Scratching all that contamination back it to the paint. Terrible idea..... Good way spray it let it sit, than rinse off with a high pressure washer and start over again
You can do it this way if you wish, no problem. However, spraying the product onto an already wet vehicle will water the product down, and it'll also mean you need to use twice as much product than if you did it once. When Three Way reacts with iron particles, it turns them into a water soluble complex, so they're no longer a hard contaminant that can mark and scratch. Additionally, the dimples in the surface are enough to trap any contamination until it's rinsed off the surface of the rubber.
@@Disciple11 yeh ok . I have very soft paint I would rather apply it twice..
Will a clay bar or clay pad work on chrome aluminium checker plate ?
Why is the clay pad $40?
Well it's reusable unlike clay bars. It's also washable unlike clay bars. $40 is a great investment 👌 for something that will do wonders for your car
Will 3 way damage my existing ceramic coating?
Hey man, he says in the video that 3 way will not damage ceramic coatings.
Its fine to spray on and rinse of but dont use it in conjunction with the claying rubber if the car is ceramic coated.
@@ryanta667 they guy said clearly int he video - it's designed NOT to damage/remove ceramic coatings
@@ryanta667 what sealant did it remove?
Doing this to your car will introduce micro marring and scratches and will need a dual action polisher to remove them correctly. Never clay unless you are going the polish after. This add by bowden is very irresponsible.
Yes you are 100% correct this will introduce marring and scratches
@@Matt-bm4nr they literally state to use their non marring clay pad so you DON"T get marring
G'day Adam and thanks for the deep concern there. We did a LOT of testing with this on soft paints (we have a few Subarus, Toyota 86's and Honda's here) to make sure the fine grade claying rubber (and our fine grade clay bar for that matter) does not marr or leave micro scratches when used as we say with either Three Way as the lubricant, our lubricating washes or the Boss Gloss detailer. In the case of the Claying Rubber, the surface is made with little dimples to further ensure this cannot happen, again when used as we say with low to no pressure applied when running it over the well lubricated surface. We have had these products for quite some time now, personally used them on hundreds of cars and have no issues from other users either. If we were to use a more aggressive rubber compound or clay bar, as per what other brands may offer, then it could be a bigger chance of it happening. A lot of detailing professionals will always go that route with a more aggressive product, as it works faster, but also as they know they will be coming back to correct it after regardless. I hope this helps address your concerns here, thank's once more for making the time to comment. :)
Adam: It would pay for you to expand your detailing knowledge, and not go off too early and make yourself look stupid.
@@MrBigrig91 All clay is marring. Their is not such product as non marring clay. If you use clay you will have to going over where you have clayed with a Da polisher at min.
Does this help with oxidised paint fade
I'm no detailer, but rubbing the chemical and the embedded particulates it removed with they clay pad seems like it would do more harm than good.
I can see why you would think that, but I often use a clay bar and it’s super effective - just make sure its made malleable and roll it over into itself… it’s clever when you see it in action, simple and effective
This shit caused swirls in my new car paint
Probably didn’t use it properly genius
Of cause it would if you followed the instructions in the video, which is very wrong!
This is only for people with OCD and show cars, everyone else just washes their car with Armour all wash n wax once a month (maybe) and lives happily ever after.
No, this is for average people. People with OCD and show cars use commercial products.
No one that has any care factor at all would use armour all …
Or for people who actually really enjoy the process of detailing their car. I find it relaxing and deeply satisfying….I spent 8 hours yesterday on my day off cleaning all three of our families cars. Ha ha
