My dad and me used to play this back in the day, and we never knew that 2 seconds arrow shot. Such an awesome detail for that hidden mechanic. It's like they added something realistic with precise bow shots or whatever it can be called.
Games Done Quick theres a hillarious glitch on this game. At least the n64 version. If you fall off a cliff and die while hold down the trigger with the gattling gun and shooting. Your leg gors crooked as f and spins around whole your falling. Me and my buddy did it back in the day over and over. Its epic man. Also at the end of the game if you hold down the trigger on the mini gun at the end of the game. Turol runs with the crooked leg onnthe last cutscene. Thats also epic too
Always a nice thing to see bawkba running some games :) For People that enjoy a nice stream on the evening try him! :3 hes talk active to all visitors and a rly kind man! :D gogo bawkba!
Wanted to say this but the 7th level actually has two Chronoscepter pieces in it for some reason; one in the lava area with the rising pillars & the other in the area with the stairs that fall from the sky near the end of the stage - at least it did in the original N64 version but I am not sure about the remaster. He could have gone for the first piece on that level & from there you can skip the entirety of the pillars without ever touching a single one. Not sure if that would save time though compared to just grabbing the second one instead which is much easier.
Man, I remember always wanting to learn those cheat codes for games growing up, such fond memories of being in a room with your friends trying to find out codes. Nowadays, you’re lucky to find a game that is complete, instead of a beta relese disguised as “early access”. Back then games had to be complete, otherwise they’d just be put in the cheap games bin/shelf... I miss when developers got to do their job fully and publishers didn’t push their games out early because they know they’re selling to consumers that are used to this kind of treatment.
This great game cost 30 dollars brand new. My parents gave me and my bro each 50 cents a day for doing our small chores ( pick clothes up put dishes away take out trash). Together we could get a new game each month. We never stopped working. We had all the best games.
Pretty sure it's still in the game but I remember playing on N64 and at the start of level 5, if you jump and hold the jump button at the top of the stairs, you hold onto the cieling and go down the stairs pretty quick. not sure if it's faster than running but just some food for thought.
imo: Turok 1, hands down. The levels are more open and exploration flows at a nice pace (though it can be easy to get lost a couple times on a first play through). Turok 2 is generally more confined with many corridor-heavy levels connected by portals that make the whole thing feel disjointed and more confusing (and boring) to navigate than the first game. The hit detection is also less forgiving and feels frustrating at times (I'm talking about the recent PC ports (loved it on the N64 but it plays like garbage compared to PC). They also added missions to the second one, perhaps to give it some sense of story and structure (post-Goldeneye game design I suppose) but they are rarely anything more engaging than "find these 4 or 5 things to destroy/collect". Good things about 2: improved graphics, enemy AI, and sound, plus more eccentric weapons.
Возможно я в поиске забрёл на вражескую территорию. Но это не важно. Может кто подскажет, почему эта игра не идёт на 7-ой винде. Скачал новую версию, установил и ошибка выскакивает Error-??? How far ahead of its time was this game, I'll tell you how far - its still better than most modern shooters in level design and difficulty, that's how far 😎
What is it about this game makes it so nauseating? I remember renting this from a Blockbuster back in the day and literally being unable to play it for more than 10 minutes. 10 year old me cried :'(
This runner was so charming, the couch was sick, the guy reading donations was cool. Great vid GDQ
PLUS GOD JUMP HYPE
This runner is way to chill to be a chef.
Thumbs way up for the runner and the game.
I liked when he hunted the dinosaurs
Bawkbasoup, Aneternalenigma and Maxylobes. This is an All-Star Speedrun, as always with those guys.

What an awesome chill runner 😇
Runner introduction starts at 0:10.
Run starts at 0:40.
We need these comments on all of your videos! So nice :)

I thought I was the only one who actually loved Turok's minimalist OST.
Ancient City for the win
@@Hellwolf36 I've always loved The Ruins since it's more jungle like.
35:24 That's not an audio glitch, it's an alternate death animation where they blow themselves up instead of just dying normally.
Dude made it further in 8min than I did in my entire childhood playing this. GDQ...great at showing how bad you actually were at games. lol
The Futurama reference at 34:38 was not lost on me. Loved the run!
the nostalgia I'm getting watching this. great game.
Dude the Castlvania joke is so real. My firend group only needs to hear "Monster" to go into the meme

Gnarly run by Bawk! And lots of fun to boot!
the game is amazing, super underrated gem of the n64 days
I couldn't even beat the first level of this game when I rented it ten times in a row from Blockbuster, but... Dinosaurs...
dude same here. I was seriously thinking the same thing then I saw this comment.
Turok has THE BEST OST. I'm glad he has such fine taste.
Never saw you grab the first cronosceptor piece.
The yells in this game are hilarious
I use to play this game while listening to Pure Moods 1 xD
Its a new age music mix that was sold in the 90s.

As a chef I respect a chef.
Nice to see Bawkbasoup again and again in GDQ :D
That guy looks like he regrets that jacket
I'm from BC too! I love this game so much, great run man
This game teaches than nothing could ever go wrong with dinosaurs with deadly lasers attached to them
Did Dino D-Day do that too?
Except with normal guns?
so true
Is this a bug or something that he didn't get the chronocepter piece in level 1, but rebuild it it in level 8?.🤔
Really fun run to watch
Loved when this game came out. Using cheats to get those nuke weapons was so fun to mess around with

yes INDEED
Yeah, this game had the COOLEST weapons and effects I'd ever seen.
Lowest level baddie? That's a nuke.
Gamers: 40+ hours of game play in this game.
Speed runner: I beat it in 15 seconds.
He didn't get the chronoscepter piece in level 1, though. How did he still manage to get the chronoscepter in the end?
"the audio will bug out and make a very annoying noise"
Not a bug actually, it's a timer for their suits detonation because they self destruct.
amen brother
The death cries in Wolfenstein 3D still seem funny to me. "Mein leben!"
It was 20 grunts, not 17.
this game is quality made !
Omg! I forgot about the particle accelerator weapon! Freeze enemies and they'd blow up.
Thats it imma finding this game.

Fantastic run Mr. B!
I loved that you could kill guys a second time (and more) if you hit them with the grenade launcher before their body disappeared

It's faster. 😅
Oh man. It’s kind of a mistake watching this while hungover 😵... however SHOUOUTS to a fellow British Columbian! 🇨🇦
Turok without the fog? What is this sorcery??
Gude Schorle steam version. They have both 1 and 2 now.
That's the original from '97 for PC.
10:25 was 21 grunts. Then at 10:49 "It was 17 grunts, I'm a math guy" hmmm
Great run.
Such a good speedrun game :)
love this game
very entertaining runner :)

Damn I played this last year and I have no idea how anyone got around with the fog everywhere. Kinda a shame what happened to golden era of fps.
The first Turok was 1000 times better than Turok 2. It was more mythical than action.
why not run forward instead of sideways? XD
lorenzo501 sideways running is faster
Did you watch the video? He told it at start of the run LOL
Had a next-door neighbor that beat this one time in a day. 10yo me thought he was a god
apparently not
"Oh god."
This game used to scare the fuck outta me
Holy shit, I forgot how good the graphics were relative to other N64 games!
heck yeah it's let's a gooo dude
watching bawkbasoup isn't good for your heart
Man the new update to ark looks phenomenal
