they try to sell them in the hope some guy with stars in his eyes will pay them the money they want for it , usually those machines are run intoo the ground overclocked to get the most out of them by that time or the underclock them till they get close to the same watts per terrahash and extend their lives that way , machines are usually payed for themselves on about 12 to 18 months , thats allso why prices fluctiate with the worth of the coin they just make it the price of wat they can earn in 12 to 18 months and the bigger miners sell them off shortly after that and buy better while there still worth something (again price based on wat they mine during a certain period minus electric bill )

I hear you bro! i stop mining about a year ago (about 50 gpu's) and instead started building my own small data center back in my country (almost half way there and the biggest expense will be the transformer) hope to negotiate the equivalent of $0.06 - $0.08 cents per kwh and hopefully a year from now i wil be mining again and buy a year old cheap miners that today are the latest!

Been mining since 2016, started with a AMD 480. The first month I mined ETH -- Oh wow! My card is paid off. 2nd month, I have $350 CAD to spend, so I bought another card. 3rd month, I have $700 CAD extra to spend, so i bought 2 more card. Every month I would almost double my cards. By the time this happened I was buying AMD 580 and 1060/1070 Then shit hit the fan and I was starting to not make as much. Then when RVN came out - I mined the shit out of it since launch day in 2018 and never stopped until late 2022 There really only a couple coins you can mine and still make a profit. Unless you get in early and mine some before they take off. Im finding it better to just buy the coins and hodl than to mine.
the first s21 can run 240 TH/s so no need to wait for 1 that is doing 230 when you have solar thats the nice thing about not putting all your bread in 1 basket if mining fails there is thousinds of other way to make profit from electricity for example. im saving the money i get from exporting electricity to get a hollyday this year 😃 why not get rid of those s19´s if you dont have free power.. how much difference does it make if you save 2 cent on electricity...

I’ve made more mining than buying and holding. Turned 1100 worth of ETH I mined into 70k by swapping it into shit coins. Mined electricity was about 350 for that month…. All my hardware was pretty much free minus 15k or so invested by me… was a hell of a run. Just going to sell most of the hardware and keep the higher end stuff..

Sell off all the s19s to idiots looking to get into mining now, by time btc pumps end of year or next there wil be 5 newer iterations, you can use the recovered money from reselling the s19s to purchase newer models... IMO.. its hard now but soon as BTC starts to pump all tides rise, you sell for profit and restart the 4 year cycle and most of the time with ALL new coins to mine..
Moment the Difficultly goes Hard for any cryptocurrency's it Times to Swap to Newer ones or Switch to Rentable VPS Servers for Rentable Compute & Storage (Games Servers mostly) with Heat Recovery ( Heat Home + Hot Water) and just handle Real World currency's Directly $£

Starting to see that mining is a for the rich, and pos is what you're looking for. Staking=mining without hardware. I was mining for years, pointless.
