@@agirlandherpassport Athens is such a special city for me. Have been there many many times, know the city quite well but anytime I see it I got shivers. A special place for me.
Yes you need 1500 euro per month for just a little house !!!!! Thysio its the best place of earth...😮😮😮 some people say about thessaloniki cause they know nothing about athens....
Thanking you on this video, but have enjoyed so many more. My girlfriend and I are planning a trip of a lifetime for October 2025. You and your videos are so inspiring. Mahalo (Thank you in Hawaiian) Σας ευχαριστώ
Great tour! My friend and I stayed there for 4 days in October, loved walking around and exploring. I wish I'd known Underdog had food, we passed by it several times. I thought it was just a coffee house (I don't drink coffee) so I didn't go in. Normally, we stay with my mother in law in the Galatsiou neighbourhood but this time want to be somewhere closer to the center. Thissio was ideal. ❤🇬🇷
We thoroughly enjoyed watching the scenery of Athens, Greece! The city's beauty was truly mesmerizing and captivating. Thank you for sharing this amazing experience with us! 👍❤
Im vey impressed that you’re taking Greek lessons! Your kalimera was perfect! Underdog bruncherie looked awesome and my first thought as well ….an American feel but at the same time great menu. The goat cheese fries caught my eye too lol! I like the style of your stories it’s very well rounded, you include a little bit of everything! Very nice video, a pleasure to watch ! 👍🏻
Thesio is a lovely area, thanks for the video. You talk about the second small observatory not being open/working. Actually it is operating and they do open it on occasions. I went there last year on a tour from main observatory and we were allowed to look though the telescope. Also Pynx Hill is lovely for sunsets.
When we were in the national garden, we heard what sounded like parrots, and it perplexed us. I did a quick google search and learned about those parrots! Those “nest condos” they make are amazing and must be heavy.
OMG! What a great vlog of Thiseio! I never checked it out before, it seemed so far! (whine, whine) It looks like a fantastic place to live, however. Did you check out the Cat Cafe?🐈⬛ That looks like fun, too!😎
As always, thanks for taking us along through this very interesting neighborhood. I think I may look for accommodations the next time my family visits Athens since we usually center our stays in or near Kolonaki. Was wondering if you know what those long grooves that run the length of the sidewalks are. Was told by relative that those were for the blind so that they can maneuver through the streets with their canes but wonder if that’s true or not. In any case thanks for making your audience feel as if they joining you on your journeys! :)
Thank you Tiffani. I enjoyed the video. Question: What is the difference between a restaurant and a taverna? Is there a taverna you recommend in Athens or elsewhere?
Thank you Tiffani your videos are always full of love for greece
You’re welcome
Love Thiseio! have stayed there many times!
I can see why!
@@agirlandherpassport If I did not have family on Evia island, Thiseio would be a top consideration for retirement next year!!
Love Thisseio and the areas around. I love everything about Athens.
Me too!

Hi from a Greek in the USA!
Hello!!
@@georgepapastergiou9917 Hello 👋 🧿 I used to live in Tarpon Springs, FL
I usually stay in Thiseio. And the restaurant across from that museum is nice. My airbnb was on Iraklion directly across from that ancient wall ruin.
I will have to check it out. I can see why you stay there. It’s so quiet.
My favourite area❤
I see why!
Nice place 👍👍
It is a great neighborhood!

That is good to know! I wish I knew when it would be open.
Thanks for showing the beauties of Athens. An underrated city
You’re welcome!
Another interesting vlog Thanks 🍻
You’re welcome!!
Great video. Made me change the accommodation booked for our May trip to Greece! Beautiful area of Athens
I think it’s a great option to stay in! Close to everything and quiet.
When we were in the national garden, we heard what sounded like parrots, and it perplexed us. I did a quick google search and learned about those parrots! Those “nest condos” they make are amazing and must be heavy.
They must be but I can’t see them. They must be well camouflaged.
Great Tour - thank you.
Thank you too!
OMG! The goat cheeses fries? When I come back 😋 🍽️!
Right?! I need to try them as well, but not for breakfast.
I remember stopping off at that movie theatre you pointed out. 😊 Couldn’t read the program because it was all in Greek.
I always look online and translate. Usually the movies are English with Greek subtitles but not always.
👍Engagement for the UA-cam algorithm!
Thank you!

Thank you! I wanted to but I didn’t realize they are closed on Tuesdays so it will have to be another vlog. 😊
Please do a tour of Kerameikos and Avdi Square next!
I will add it to the list! 😊

You’re welcome. Yes, the yellow tiles are to let the blind find their way.
🙏😊
More Athens for you!
@agirlandherpassport yep, & the quiet part 😂 appreciate it 🙏
@@shaulkirsch1263Are you more of the busy part kind of person?
@agirlandherpassport for residence no, for walking the streets, taking in the graffiti, music ths sound of the crowds? Hell yes 😂
@@shaulkirsch1263 Got it! I can relate.
Maybe a tour of Nea Smyrni next?
I will add it to my list. I don’t know it well though.
Thank you Tiffani. I enjoyed the video. Question: What is the difference between a restaurant and a taverna? Is there a taverna you recommend in Athens or elsewhere?
A taberna is more casual and usually has more traditional Greek food. There are so many good ones. Just find one with Greeks eating there.
@@agirlandherpassport Thanks!
When you are moving the camera, the pic is blurry.
I will check on my end. I didn’t see it when editing. Can you tell me the time you saw it? Thanks!!
