@@karakol86 well you might reconsider that opinion. SP has done loads of great covers. Check out their version of Fleetwood Mac’s Landslide on the Pisces Iscariot record for a little taste.
@@paw3498 I really like that cover actually and dancing in the moonlight too. Those songs could be SP songs. I couldn't see Corgan singing something heavy like a deftones song (early deftones) or a NIN song.
Billy still as good as ever. Imagine playing in front of millions to playing here. This man is truly one of the greats and is not only super talented but unique. Mellon Collie is my Dark side of the moon. When I listen to it, it brings up so many emotions and memories. I not even capable to describe how it makes me feel. You HAD to be there in the moment. If not I'm sorry but although still great, you cant ever feel what the 90s truly were all about. I was 15 in 1990 and those 10 years were the absolute best. I miss the 90s. I miss the Pumpkins.
With you there man. Mellon Collie was the sound of my early teens, I was only 12 when it came out, but was already a huge fan of Siamese Dream. That album, with those songs, that artwork, at that time. Like you said - so many emotions and memories. And it was so quirky and unexpected from a heavier rock band to incorporate all that victorian/gothic fairytale style artwork, but yet it was also somehow familiar and made absolute sense.
+Gingerscantbepirates hahahahahahahaha my mom took me to the church as well, she was convinced that i was possesed cuz i only listen rock u know, by that time popular bands were limp bizkit, korn, deftones, linkin park, etc,... and i was on my room listening to them all the time jajajajajaja she was really mad about it so she broke my first guitar with the floor fuuuuuck jajajajajaj damn,,... i really love old school rock smashing pumpkins yeeeah
I've already done that. Except it was a muzak version of this brilliant song that was playing as I walked aisles 3 and 4 of my local supermarket. A depressing experience.
Writer/performer of some of the most beautiful lyrics in a rock format that have ever been conceived, and after you consider the entirety of the album, Adore, you might argue, the best ever.
Goddamn right he still has it. Historically speaking, corgan has always been a couple/few years beyond the threshold of music, not to his avail. Everything is great in hindsight, tho the masses rarely "get it" in the moment. Mellon Collie being the biggest exception.
The problem with modern times is the complete lack of substance within everything, you name it and it's been assimilated into the collective consciousness set to absolute consumerism. Your purpose no matter how delusional you might be is to emerge from a human womb y⁷7⁷77 u

First time ? By far top 5 guitarists all time or from the 90s and I wasn’t even a big pumpkins fan until the last 5 years. His riffs and harmonies are so unique . I believe this version was when he rejoined the band after his hiatus . Billy wrote this and they didn’t record on the original version of the album . I saw him live performing this a few years ago epic .
He’s not even close to being responsible for it. Just leave where he belongs of being the best songwriter of the last 30 years maybe only challenged by jack white.
You were smooching with my brother. You've been smooching with everybody. Snuffy, Al, Leo, Little Mo with the gimpy leg, Cheeks, Boney Bob, Cliff, I could go on forever baby.

I sometimes wish Billy would play a really high quality acoustic, he plays Fender, saw him play an Ovation as well. Just junk compared to a Martin or Taylor, I think a Taylor is to clean and pretty but a well aged martin would suit him well. To much string noise, like new strings on an acoustic are always metal tangy ish
This guy is literally the soundtrack to memories from the 90s.
This fucking song, man - it hits me every time, he could probably play it on a kazoo and I'd start tearing up

I just dont think there can be a more perfect 'love' song.
One of the most beautiful songs ever written
You and me
Meant to be
Immutable
Impossible
It's destiny
Pure lunacy
Incalculable
Insufferable
But for the last time
You're everything that I want and ask for
You're all that I'd dreamed
Who wouldn't be the one you love
Who wouldn't stand inside your love
Protected and the lover of
A pure soul and beautiful you
Don't understand
Don't feel me now
I will breathe
For the both of us
Travel the world
Traverse the skies
Your home is here
Within my heart
And for the first time
I feel as though I am reborn
In my mind
Recast as child and mystic sage
Who wouldn't be the one you love
Who wouldn't stand inside your love
And for the first time
I'm telling you how much I need and bleed for
Your every move and waking sound
In my time
I'll wrap my wire around your heart and your mind
You're mine forever now
Who wouldn't be the one you love and live for
Who wouldn't stand inside your love and die for
Who wouldn't be the one you love
What a voice. To me Billy has one of the finest voices ever, and can write some of the best songs ever.

by far my favourite song by the pumkins
Which is very difficult, since they have so many " best songs " ...

There is nothing better of the 90's and early 2000 like this song I here it since 2001
