Okay, well, I don't think anyone is going to read this whole thing but I wanted to post my thoughts on the video and what it means. Keep in mind that this theory does not account for the lyrics. Super long post. I've already seen many people guess the meaning of the video, and really, all I've seen are people guessing that the girl was in an abusive relationship and she finally had enough and got rid of the man that was causing her grief. However, I do not see it this way. In fact, I see this video from both of their perspectives and how their love may actually be saved. Both of these lovers are the victims here. Maybe one person more than the other, but not the person you expect. Let's start at the very beginning of the video, shall we? We see the male lover on his knees, a sign of weakness, covering his eyes in what could be fear. He is vulnerable. Then the video zooms out and we see all these barriers which hide this vulnerable man and his female lover on the other side. She is faced with yellow tape that reads 'Please... Please find me'. He wants to be found, he's not hiding from her... well, not anymore that is. The video continues with the lovers being seen together, but then suddenly the male lover is gone from her side. They are distanced. We then see flashbacks of their happy life together, from a time when they were once in love. However, their love has drifted since. This is when we see Miku. It would appear that most people believe that Miku is the other woman. However, we also see Miku at the female lovers side. That makes no sense, if she's on both sides then why would she tear them apart? Others have pointed out that she did it on purpose so that the female lover could see that her male lover was cheating on her. I do not believe this the case. Rather, I think that Miku represents their inner desires and it is their inner desires that are pushing them to act as they do in the video. The female lover is fighting for her male lover and the male lover is not cheating on his girlfriend, but perhaps he is thinking about cheating on her, or maybe he is cheating on her emotionally without there actually being another woman. In this sense, when we see the male lover sinking in to the ground he is actually being consumed by his inner feelings which is why we see him about to kiss a deformed Miku. He's only thinking about cheating. It would also explain why we see him smiling lustfully at Miku but eyeing her in fear. He is afraid of his own feelings. Next we see the two lovers arguing. I believe that the female lover is bringing up their relationship problems, she can see them, that's why she's fighting them. But the male lover is afraid of his feelings and doesn't trust himself and said feelings. Instead of admitting to these problems to repair their broken hearts, he just pretends that they aren't happening. The bandages on the heart are poorly done. That's because they have yet to properly mend them. He is avoiding the seriousness of the damage caused to their relationship. This is also why the female lover is covered in bandages. Her feelings have yet to be mended. You can see the male lover smiling almost violently at her. Some believe this is because he is abusing her and takes joy in that. I see this as him pretending that nothing is wrong with their relationship. He covers her mouth and eyes so that she cannot fight or see the problems in their fading love. Again the female lover tries to explain the problems but he refuses to listen. Instead he is facing a mirror, himself reflected in the glass. He is once again forced to face his own feelings and see only himself. He walks away from her, he walks away from their relationship problems. Again he is with Miku in an abandoned building. This decaying building represents his relationship with the female lover. Miku represents his hidden feelings of possible lust or wanting emotional attachment with someone else, since his romance with his lover is decaying. It then zooms out of the building where a cage is encompassing the male lover, where his deepest feelings of lust/love are out of the female lovers reach. Notice how the cage is inside the decaying building which represents their decaying relationship? His lust stems from their decaying relationship, in the relationship, but out of the female lovers reach. The female lover looks in the building. Miku is at her side. The female lover realizes that she is not the only one suffering and so she decides to free her lover from the cage of his emotion which has trapped him. The male lover is playing with a marionette of his hidden desires. He truly believed that he was in control of his desires, but then it is revealed that his desires have been in control of him. Now he is the puppet of his own desires. Now the female lover is trying to save her male lover. She breaks into the cage of his emotions which had once trapped him. The Miku that was at her side, which represents /her/ desires, has given her a weapon to fight with. It was made clear that the female lover was aware of their problems, she tried to talk about them but she could not get her lover to see the sense in what she was saying. Now she has come to force some sense into him. Or should I say, knock some sense into him? She fights through all of the barriers he had once made to protect his feelings. Through multiple scenes in the battle you can see the male lover switch forms between himself and the deformed miku. But at some point while he is in the cage you can clearly see him reach out his hand for his lover. However, it is not long before deformed Miku takes over him. The final scene of the female lover hitting the deformed Miku is not supposed to represent her getting rid of the male lover, but actually to represent her destroying the mutated feelings which they tried to hide. The deformed Miku is destroyed and the male lover has had some sense literally knocked into him. The heart explodes.This could mean that the heart that was once damaged beyond repair can be reborn again. They can have a new start as either lovers, friends, or part ways. Either way they are no longer attached to the deformed love (deformed miku) The camera once again zooms out to the yellow tape which reads, 'Please... please find me.' The male lover wanted to be found. He wanted to be saved. From himself. His female lover was able to see their problems, he didn't want to admit to the problems, so he pretended that nothing was wrong. Deep inside himself, however, he had wanted to give in to his desires (miku is not his other lover but rather his desires). The female lover had finally had enough of looking away and forced him to see their problems and knocked sense into him. She destroyed the deformed miku that took over him, and so she free'd him from his deformed feelings. They were both victims of their desires. Her for wanting to resolve them peacefully without a fight, and him for ignoring their problems altogether. The female ;over changed her desires to absolute control of the situation, while it was too late for the male lover, he was already far too indulged in his diluted desires.
I relate this to the song Delusion Tax and Mono Poisoner (also by DECO*27) and how it's rather an abusive relationship and this is the girl's pov and she finally frees herself from this strangling love.
This just feels like a story about a guy forcing the woman to love him, like he's just just overly obsessed with their love, but treats her like crap in the process. Miku representing their emotions. Finally the woman gets fed up and fights back. Don't know though, it'd be easier with lyrics.
It's mostly hiragana, kanji, and a bit of katakana. It will honestly take you about a month to learn the hira syllabary as well as kana if you're interested in reading his subs. Kanji is a whole different story though lol
