Great music guys, and dear Seamus Tansey, earlier tonight I just happen to have seen you in a DVD playing with Dervish. I'd been suffering from sadness from this, that and the other and consequently hadn't played my whistle for ages through lack of inspiration but on the DVD, you'd given a story of when your musician friends had "played the music like it was a hymn".... and it sparked something in me, the memory of how deep and soulful the Irish music is, and there I watched you play 3 great tunes along with the wonderful Dervish and my sadness had gone, you'd made me reconnect with the essence of the music, not just by the tunes but by the words you said!! So tonight I typed out Seamus Tansey on You Tube and there you are, playing great tunes with the lads!! I shall now dust off my tin whistle and play again! Thank you so much for your lovely music and inspiration and the reminder of how spiritual this music is...having the power to make people happy!!! God bless and keep playing...no matter what!!!
I know many will disagree but I don''t believe that syncopated guitar style supports the music at all. It cuts across the rhythm and constantly contradicts the natural strong points in the music
