🏔️ As we approached Gulmarg, we encountered the beauty of the world's highest Green Golf Course, established by the British in 1911. Despite a brief setback with an attempted scam, we entered the gondola area and prepared for our ascent.
🚡 The Gulmarg Gondola ride, spanning two phases, took us from Gulmarg to Kongdori, offering panoramic views, and then to Aparavath peak at an altitude of around 4,000 meters. The winter wonderland unfolded before us, reminiscent of a virtual gaming world.
❄️ The gondola ride elevated us to a breathtaking height of around 8,500 ft in just 9 minutes, providing awe-inspiring vistas of the surrounding mountains.
⛷️ At Kongdori (Phase 1), the pristine snow-covered slopes welcomed us to Gulmarg's reputation as a skiing paradise. From skiing to snowboarding, sledging, and snowmobiling, Gulmarg offered a plethora of snow activities.
🌨️ Unfortunately, due to heavy snowfall, Phase 2 was closed during our visit. However, the refund process for the cancelled tickets was smooth and efficient.

We're planning to visit gulmarg in Jan 1st week. Is it okay to visit with parents and kids as I don't know about the weather conditions. Please suggest.
Hi, the weather in January might be a little harsh for parents and kids. We suggest planning your trip in the 2nd or 3rd week of April. During that time, you'll experience plenty of snow, and you can also visit the famous Tulip Garden in Srinagar.

We are planning to visit this month. What is the best way to commute to gondola from Srinagar?
To reach Gulmarg from Srinagar, you can hire a taxi, either private or shared. Private taxis are available at the Srinagar Airport, railway station, or through local services. Negotiate the fare beforehand. Shared taxis, a more economical option, can be found at transportation hubs and depart when filled. Inquire about shared taxi options at your accommodation or transportation centers for accurate information. The journey is approximately 2 to 3 hours, offering scenic views of the Kashmir Valley. Confirm the return trip availability if needed.

Can we enter the gondola before the time allotted to us , is it first come first basis?
Ideally you should come as per the allotted slot... After that it is first come first serve basis.
They scan the QR code in the tickets to fetch your booking details and verify your ID also.
In our case, our parents had the 1 pm slot whereas we had the 9 am slot, but they were allowed to enter with us at 9 am.
Maybe they allowed our parents due to their old age or perhaps lesser than usual rush in the morning. So, plan accordingly.
WHAT IS THE COST OF TWO PHASE TICKETS OF PER PERSON?
First Phase return ticket cost is ₹810 and second phase ticket ₹1010. Total cost per person: ₹1820
