if you come as you are with your current way of life without wanting to assimilate into the French population, without integrating the particularities of this country that attracts you and without learning French then stay at home. Otherwise: welcome
I'm of Vietnamese origin, French nationality. I have never regretted coming to France. I really love France and also the French. The French are very kind. And for us, taxes are no problem.
Thank you for your excellent snd informative video. Your guest is excellent. I’ve been to France dozens of times including up to 3 months at a time. This march I’m returning for a month and will be looking at houses in the Limoges and Brittany areas. I am a retired US lawyer, live alone and at age of 70+ decided to go for it. A bientôt. Joseph.
Hi from South France (Perpignan), 🌴🌞 I want to clarify one thing. In France, the legal retirement age is 64. However, it depends on the number of quarters contributed and birth year. You can't do what you want. It's for workers who have started to work at a very young age. In addition, all this greatly impacts the monthly pension that will be paid. "Legal retirement age (minimum authorized age)" doesn't mean "full-rate retirement" regardless of the number of quarters contributed. The latter being, as in all European countries, set at 67. Not knowing all these nuances, foreigners tend to think the French are happy and lazy welfare recipients. Which, faced with the facts, is an urban legend. Pax, humanitas. ☮👈😎

You need to check out the U.P. in Michigan plus not far from the U.P. in the lower top part of Michigan there is Torch lake which looks like the Carribean with the blue & Turqouise water. There is actually several lakes in the upper lower Peninsula that have water like that. Lake Superior at Pictured Rock you can see 30 feet down.
My American friend who moved to Portugal and learned the language- lived in France for years! She said also they are VERY HARD to make friends with. She said work folks do not become friends. period...and I'm pretty sure she spoke French, but she was in Paris...so maybe outside it's different. YES, he hit it, the French regard themselves as the center culturally so they resent- English speakers approaching them...in their own country with a foreign language....and also another tip- we often don't greet "bonjour" that strikes them as VERY RUDE...
It's rather you who create the problem. I'm of Vietnamese origin, of French nationality. I find that the French are the most polite, most helpful and kindest people on earth. If you don't want to come to France, well don't come ! And above all I have many French friends. I have never regretted coming to 🇫🇷❤.
It makes no sense to go through Paris if you're traveling to Bordeaux from Nice! Nice Airport is the third busiest in France, with daily flights to Bordeaux, and the flight time is at most one hour. Taking the train doesn’t make sense; and still, from Nice to Bordeaux, no need to go through Paris. it would be more expensive and much slower. It’s true that France is very centralized around Paris, FOR TRAINS, but thankfully there are direct connections between French cities by plane, which are much cheaper compared to American prices. I just checked the price of a one-way ticket between Nice and Bordeaux. It ranges from as low as €36 if booked two weeks in advance to around €120 on weekends.
@ Because the USA claims to be "the biggest Democracy of the Planet". The Americans have all the tools at hand to make their country, if not "great again" (!!!), at least a better place to live in. Whilst in Europe, the vast majority of the immigrants come from godforsaken countries, where their horizon spells "no future". They don't have the choice.
@ Please define what you mean by "woke" since in the U.S. it means socially and politically aware, and the Oxford Dictionary defines it as "well-informed, up-to-date." I'm guessing that's not what you mean?
You can go directly from Nice to Bordeaux by plane or train whithout going to Paris !!!
Why wouldn’t you? What mystery is there in this?
Happy to be the 100th person to like this video!

If Americans don't agree to pay french taxes, please stay home and leave us the benefit of our health care system we pay for !!!

I have no problem paying for the benefits I receive. The problem in America is people want everything but don’t want to pay.

I would love to! I really don’t want to live here anymore.
Go live in the UK, where you're more akin to the culture!
@ thank you 🙏
We want to spend as much time as possible away from the US for the next 4 years.
@@CaroleKrug oh yes !! lol. I would do it now if I could

And there are no good jobs! I used to live near Traverse City and it is beautiful, but there is a major job issue!
Daniel does not like retirees retiring in France. He said the law should change. It’s what he said in a meeting he had with Adrian Leeds.

Don't add American pollution here, USE THE TRAIN AND FORGET ABOUT YOUR "CHEAP" OBSESSION!!!
First advice, stay OUT OF FRENCH POLITICS... Skip the mentions of Le Pen and co.
Not talking politics in France is like wanting to live there without eating cheese, bread or drinking wine, it could be very complicated.😂😂😂😂
why he talks about politics especially about Marine Le Pen that he stays in his place
If you are fleeing from Trump, please don't come to France, go in Canada
Or to the UK!
Why?
