I really love how positive and empathetic Cody is with these videos, like just encouraging people to be themselves and writing bits without demeaning the person is pretty rare to see online nowadays
He also doesn’t cover heavy subjects like misogyny or homophobia (etc). Some of my favorite commentary UA-camrs I’ve had to watch much less frequently due to the nature of the content they cover. Even under the guise of criticism and mockery, watching videos of people verbally rip through Andrew Tate or pickup artists still feels the same as if I had watched them without the commentary in the sense that it just makes me bitter and angry at how genuinely terrible people in the world can be. There is a time and a place for every discussion, but constantly being subjected to it online creates this false idea that the majority of people are like that in real life.

I'm very curious how differently this show would go if they didn't have contact with the other contestants.

This show essentially shows the danger of getting too picky. You get picky about the little, surface-level things instead of focusing on the person's character and how they are to be around, and this is what happens ultimately. You won't end up with anyone. Unless, ofc, you actually have some self-reflection and learn to change your outlook and approach to dating altogether. But I don't hold that sort of hope for any of the people on this show. Something about their easily bruised egos tells me they would BALK at the idea of being told they're their own worst enemy when it comes to dating, even if it's in a kind but just brutally honest manner. They just want the problem to be everyone and everything BUT themselves. This show just exposes every contestant's insecurities and shallowness like crazy

Part of me loves that we can see the different green room vibes so we can get a feel for what a Cut shoot is like, how they take care of the people coming in for camera, because these are really vulnerable videos to participate in. And the other part of me hated seeing the dude camp start to compete with the girls just because they wanted to be the rejecters and not the rejectees. It kinda felt like they were losing focus of the goal to get an all-expenses-paid second date *with* one of the girls just to protect their egos from rejection. Which is understandable to some extent because, again, it’s a super vulnerable thing to do. But it was depressing to see the vague consensus about it in the green room.

I was cringing the whole time.
Mostly because of the button
@@MrLachapell I want to know who the hell is behind tha button Jesus Christ
I really love how positive and empathetic Cody is with these videos, like just encouraging people to be themselves and writing bits without demeaning the person is pretty rare to see online nowadays
I like Cody.
@@frostiswan7058 me too lol :) Cody and Mark are my top 2 comfort channels
Totally agree. It’s so refreshing. So many other commentary videos make me nervous to even start
Agreed. He’s so empathetic in these videos
There is a time and a place for every discussion, but constantly being subjected to it online creates this false idea that the majority of people are like that in real life.
the first dude’s vibe was top tier, I’d play video games with him
He makes 1000 tortillas a day. “Oh like, for work?” No, it’s more of a hobby. lol
This is probably one of the only shows/reactions that makes me actually physically laugh out loud
How is that possible have you not watched anything else that’s funny 💀
Makes me physically cringe but it makes sense that people with low empathy would find it funny
@@TJ__23 im highly sensitive and empathetic feel second hand embarrassment strongly often but the thing that turns it off for me in this situation is the fact that they put themselves in this situation and knew what it would entail.
@@sophiej9346 100%, and most of them somewhat try to put on a show as well, I don't feel like any of them takes this thing really seriously haha
@@TJ__23 ur cringe
I feel like those who have gone through should be separated from those who haven't to avoid the whole "getting even" thing between the guys/girls
I think it's fine they're not. Reveals who's petty.
@@jordanferguson2254 but then all of them end up being petty

I get why they do it the way that they do, but I totally agree with you…if they actually wanted to see whether people are compatible, they wouldn’t include these factors that skew the results
Unfortunately these factors are part of how this generation is
All for the drama
Her: I'm not petty like that
Also Her: Rejects someone for a single outfit
She was right about the hat tho
@@Mlsinms She was but thats an easy fix. Just tell him not to choose that hat when you with him. lol gotta have a little bit to help them out with or its boring
Imagine not picking someone you’re compatible with because they are wearing a hat you don’t like. 😂 you can’t be mad you’re single doing that ish.
right it was such a dumb excuse they literally were getting along but she had to press it, this game is just who can hit the button faster
She's petty in another way
The vibes are horrific with this bunch 😭
did the girl really reject him for his fit when HERS LOOKED LIKE THAT?
okay but seeing how petty they are in the greenroom explains A LOT about the previous episodes. cause sometimes you think they hit the button for no apparent reason, but now it's clear - they don't even care about the other person, they're just there to slam the button to "avenge the boys 🤪🤪". I'm very curious how differently this show would go if they didn't have contact with the other contestants.
I completely agree I was thinking the same thing
Doesn't seem like it was to "avenge the boys" it seems like he knew she was gonna press the button on him within seconds just like every other guy it happened to so he did it first. That's why he said no guys have had a chance to hit the button bc she was sitting there doing it as fast as possible every time.
At 6:55 the girl literally admits to doing this though?
Dude same
I hate to be that person that messes up the 420 like count but someone else was bound to do it anyways
My mouth actually dropped at the end when she ACTUALLY HIT THE BUTTON after saying she wanted to go out again 😂😂😂😂😭😭😭😭

jesus man this episode was insane. seeing the behind the scenes stuff makes it so different cause gd they group plotting too??
i wouldve died if kelsey had hung up after cody asked if she would hit the button on him
Truly a mr. Struggle moment
Lol I actually thought she was going to hang up there for a second.
yeah but her reasoning? he dodged a bullet there
the thing I love about Codys button videos is there are so many I can go back and rewatch and have genuine first time again reactions im on a roll with these

@@ZadeINC Thank you for your service 🫡
I like how cody's day was totally made when she hit the button at the end.
I’m actually mad that girl said “I feel like he’s not into white girls” like that HAD to be the only reason he would press the button….
i know right?😭 it was just so out of pocket
fr it seems like she can’t handle rejection like something can’t possibly be wrong with her. anyways he literally told her it was “for the boys”
Did nobody see her NOSE!
6:46 Tf is a “nerdy frat guy” that seems like the most rare combination on the planet
the dancing has me in literal tears but omg yeah this batch of ppl is not it. they all just wanna press the button on each other
couldnt have watched this without cody. withoud cody it would have been absolute pain. he made it at least a bit funny but goddamn that was tough. thank you cody for being so awesome!

The mushroom falling then Cody growing is hella creative ngl 😂
I loved it
Instantly liked the video after that
11:10 lol boy kept stuttering he knows he met a frickin goddess
@aliss liou Can you blame him though?
The dog thing is actually normal. They smell like happiness, cuddles and comfort (not all the time though) Lol it sounds weird, especially to have it randomly brought up on a speed dating show 😂, but it's totally normal.
Honestly, that totally nonchalant "can I get the fuck outta here?" by that first guy was a fucking *power move* _holy shit_

Everyone has their own read on that guy.
My read is... Poor guy gets rejected all the time and he's just accepted it as: Let's hurry this up. I got tortillas to make.
when cody didn't stop talking about tortillas at the beginning of the video, I fully expected a hellofresh sponsorship
The way I cackled when he said “not TOO big of a fan of tortillas then yea?” 💀💀💀
I feel like CUT told them to ask the "why did you reject me?" in order to have something juicy in the green room moments
WHY did the first guy wink after saying “if you hang with me you can get fresh tortilla anytime😉”💀💀
W rizz
i thought it was funny it would've honestly won me over lol
He has a tortilla in his pants and knows how to use it
He reminds me of Napoleon Dynamite 🤣😂
10:24 he said he wants somebody who knows what they want and the "i dont know my vibe" was a red flag for him and literally just a few seconds after he was stumbling and fumbling and said "i dont know" LMAO
the level of embarrassment I felt when that guy tried to hit the button and it wasn't lit up😭😭
Cody keeps his hair like this so it flies when he imitates hitting the button and no one can convince me otherwise
bro the last girl was definitely not there to find a partner she just wanted to see how many people she could reject for the stupidest reasons and get away with it
Cody's empathy is too strong to watch this one 😂😂
WTF IS THIS EPISODE WHY ARE THEY SO HONEST ALL OF A SUDDEN😂💀

This was ruthless 😂 half of it was petty rejection but that just paved the way for no one holding back 🔥
The vibes are awful but I feel like they just showed us a lot more in editing than usual
losing my mind over the fact that cody didn't say anything for like 2 minutes and I too didn't even notice cause I was so focused on their date

hey, i hope you feel better soon. i have chronic pain too, it‘s very hard, but in my experience it comes and goes in waves, not just the pain but also your mood, on some days i‘m in a lot of pain but i still manage to be positive. pain takes away a lot of choices and control, but i have been slowly trying to regain control, and it does help a lot. you can push through this, i believe in you❤

that last girl really got on my nerves tbh. she had that pretty privilege and she knew it. saying she "likes bad boys" and then rejecting a dude for simply saying he's a wholesome guy because "that's toxic" was insane bc 1) i do not tolerate this instant "judgement" of hers that was just so out of pocket and 2) newsflash: toxicity is the #1 bad boy trait babes. figure out what you want. overall, an obviously very judgmental person. shoo.
yeah she just seemed mean spirited
She's for the streets lol. Did you catch the womanese at the end? "I like to post freely" actually means "I like to post near naked photos publicly" pure hoe behaviour lol
@@meliodas292 yeahhh okay buddy. you wrote 3 sentences and there was 1 common misogynistic term in each one of them. you outed yourself.
